  1. "kiss" and after "me" he added "you fool." Ha, yeah. First sentence makes it pretty clear! No clue where I got that idea. Okay. Then we'll wait for the 6'10" coach to get fired. Thanks for the insight. Once you grow up and spend more time around adults, you'll learn that men, especially powerful men, especially powerful men working in high stress jobs for billion-dollar organizations, tend to argue.
  2. ...what was it? You can't tell me with certainty that it doesn't happen else where. Your argument is a zero. I work with the media. I hate the media (Wawrow, you're cool). I can smell a misleading story from a mile away. Rodak's pic was from the practice field. La Confora's story supposedly took place inside offices.
  3. La Confora isn't talking about the same so-called altercation (funny, only one of the reporters present for that one came up with a report, too). The one Rodak tweeted about was on the practice field in front of players. So no, it meant nothing. Why don't you tell me why we should be worried about this. Both. Ha! It's a tricky situation to be in when your roster has been gutted and rebuilt.
  4. And how many of those times when they were 'caught' do you think Marrone was pissed off about the backup QB situation?
  5. This, by the way, !@#$ing happened when Jordan !@#$ing Palmer was brought in to be the backup. You guys think Marrone was going too far to be pissed about that??
  6. Or may be everyone taking this 'incident' at face-value as 'bad' can explain how they're certain this is 'bad' relative to how the other 31 teams operate.
  7. I think irresponsible is the right word for it. As Rodak has proven time and time again, mostly through Twitter, reporters looking to gin up clicks and foment unrest can, and will, lie by telling the truth. They skew the context in a way that what they're saying is accurate, but what they mean to imply isn't. What are the odds that Cole, and only Cole, have the hot lead and the talkative source on the 'EJ isn't good enough' scandal? Or how about: he was told--as we all were when the FO hired three different coaches to make the young QB better--that compared to playoff and Super Bowl winning quarterbacks in this era, EJ just isn't good enough...yet. On the topic of bringing in support to make him better, this is certainly something that is likely said by guys in the know. So when Cole turns around and says "I'm told by insiders that EJ isn't good enough" he's telling a truth, but it's a half truth, bordering on a lie. Also "staffer" could be the 19 year old Cowboys fan whose aunt has worked as a secretary in ticket sales since the 80's and got him a summer job making sure everyone's desk had enough paper clips and staplers.
  8. You're just planning to ignore my link which shows he's the fourth highest paid backup? And besides, why would you even frame this as a bad thing?
  9. Never mind, he is 20th. Assuming Garrard and Kitna aren't counted as "active" players. 5.5 of the 19 active quarterbacks ahead of him are also backups: Hasselbeck Schaub Vick Fitzpatrick Campbell Cassel (he's the half) That leaves 14 starters with more career starts: Manning Brady Brees Manning Palmer Roethlisberger Rivers Romo Cutler Ryan Flacco Rodgers Smith Stafford So yeah, given Orton's tenure and the company he keeps, seems to me his contract is quite reasonable. I'm actually counting three backup quarterbacks with a higher base salary: http://www.spotrac.com/rankings/nfl/quarterback/ Prior to their respective TC/PS abortions, all of Bills nation with satisfied with the Tuel/Lewis situation, also. To say otherwise is revisionist history. Even if they weren't satisfied (though they were) and they were searching (as you say they should have been), who should they have signed that was available?
  10. While I don't altogether disagree, could they have possibly done better in their situation. Could they have done better before entering panic mode? Kyle Orton, btw, is 20th among active QB's in career starts. He's higher. Gimmie a sec to figure it out.
  11. What's the going rate for a QB with 70 career starts? The NFL Network guys called the move "panic" but "prudent." Explain that.
  12. If I was in a pool I'd go Tampa or KC.
  13. In SURVIVOR pools!? That's just dumb. I did pick them in my Pick 'Em league, though.
  14. hahaha, just know it didn't change much from your days until its last...!!
  15. Yeah Wild Hare in Wrigleyville shut down like two years ago. It attracted an...interesting...crowd.
  16. I've been emailing with Benn the last few days. Glad to see you're pressing it with the local cast!
  17. Except he's not struggling because of his knees.
  18. He also looked abysmal in preseason THIS year.
  19. Those draft experts who called Robinson the best tackle prospect in a decade, I wonder what they had to say about Manuel?
  20. I shall. Bout to rain...hard.
  21. 6-7-5 Interesting take Captain Brandon Spikes Will leave each of us asking Who's this Kiko guy?
  22. Yep. We're at 207 RSVP's right now for a bar that can only hold 200 people. So...yeah. Also, here's all you need to know: Lincoln Station has a kitchen and projects the game on a wall and has places to sit. Delilah's is crammed, there's one or two ****ty TV's and you have to order delivery from some place else. It's different strokes for different folks. I understand the preferences for both spots. 11:30 at the latest, I'd suggest. 11:00 to be safe. In the power rankings of douche bag fans, Chicago might sneak into the top 10. The last time Bills game to Soldier Field (2006, Bears en route to NFC Champs, we got crushed), my buddy got thrown into the holding cells in the Soldier Field basement.
  23. Well, I mean, if we're just going to call everyone liars when they refute your agenda...
  24. buffalobills @sammywatkins: "I'm ready to play. When I'm out there, I don't feel it."
