    I think McDermott deserved to be on the hot seat even if this article didn’t come out. More pressure the better at this point and he needs to get team past all these distractions. Coming off the Bye want to see how team responds and with season on the line how hard they play for their head coach.

    This article changes nothing for me. McDermott's seat should be warm right now. Team needs to pull it together and go on a run or fold. If team collapses Pegula should take long hard look at replacing the coach. Will he is a different question.

    They wanted continuity and their Franchise QB was on board with decision. We had offense in place that was explosive and Allen had success in. So I can see the reasoning going with Dorsey. It didn't work out.

    I didn't say both things couldn't be true. However, does come off as a hit piece from someone who has their own issues with McDermott. It was mentioned here previously when Dunne was covering the team. I have no interest though in going back and trying to find it but clearly Dunne is no fan of McDermott and hasn't been in a long time.

    I don't doubt McDermott is a control freak. However, I also believe that Dunne has some axe to grind. Believe there was some issue between him and McDermott at some point when he was covering the team.

    Knox should be the primary blocking TE who who can be used as an check down option. Kincaid should be out running routes as he is clearly the better passing option.

    At some point team will have to bite the bullet and move on from some of these aging players. If they miss the playoffs I would start this offseason and go for a mini rebuild while trying to field competitive team. I think this group had their shot at the Super Bowl and may have missed their window.

    Anything can happen between now and end of the season. However, can’t see Pegula firing McDermott till after the season if it happens. However, if McDermott is brought back next year he should most definitely be on the hot seat.

    Other than Harbaugh in Michigan not sure either. If Pegula decides to move on from McDermott. It should be finding the best offensive minded coach to pair with Allen. I would be willing to go with someone up and coming that has worked under some of the better offensive minded head coaches in the league. Philly outcoached this team and it starts with the head coach.

    Refs have been terrible across the board not just this game. However, good teams find a way to win. We instead find ways to lose and are overrated. So for me this starts with the HC who coaches scared and it permeates throughout the team who play soft. Like a dark cloud that hangs over team you just know something bad is going to happen.
