  1. If I was coaching this team, I would not be ready to name a starting QB either. If any coach in the league was here they wouldn't either. What's the big deal.
  2. After all the years that Schobel has been on this team it is clear that he is a no nonsense personality. To think that his statements are posturing is just plain wrong. He doesn't speak often and he definitely doesn't like talking to the media. When he does, he says what he means and that is that. If he says he will play here or retire, you can bet your a** that is just what will happen. He will not be traded and that's a fact.
  3. Oh no. The sky is falling! Help, help, the sky is falling! You guys really need to sit back and wait to see what happens. No news is not necessarily a bad thing. This is a franchise that is clearly not going to be rushed into making a bad decision. Let them do their job.
  4. No, we don't.
  5. I'd rather see Tebow than Clausen. Or even the Raven's backup QB.
  6. I think you guys don't really understand what is going on here. Switching to the 3-4 not only means that our DEs from last year become OLBs, it also means that last years DTs become DEs. This means both Stroud and Williams will be DEs. And if you guys think Stroud can rush from the outside, wait till you see what Williams can do. The guy has repeatedly been described as a wrecking ball on the offensive line. As for a guy as big as Kennedy, he would be a Nose Tackle for sure. The advantages that both Stroud andKyle Williams will have is power. Both have speed too but what you will see is one extremely powerful bull rush. Any offensive tackle in the league is going to have their hands full with these guys.
  7. Tebow won't be there in the second.
  8. Hey, no big deal. Don't think he forces his faith on anyone. I've also heard comments about him charging for autographs and pocketing the money which is assumption made out of ignorance.
  9. Umm, I think he won the Heisman. Smith won the 2006 Heisman Memorial Trophy on December 9, 2006.[12] He beat out sophomore RB Darren McFadden (2nd) from Arkansas and senior QB Brady Quinn (3rd), from Notre Dame. In winning the 2006 Heisman Trophy, Smith took 86.7% of the first place votes, which is a record. His tally of 2,540 votes was the third largest behind that of the 2005 Heisman Trophy winner, Reggie Bush of the University of Southern California (2,541 votes) and 1968 Heisman winner O.J. Simpson who also played for USC (2,853 votes). His margin of victory (1,662 votes) was also the second largest in the history of the award, eclipsed only by O.J. Simpson who won by 1,750 votes. Troy Smith joined Les Horvath (1944), Vic Janowicz (1950), Howard "Hopalong" Cassady (1955), Archie Griffin (1974 and 1975) and Eddie George (1995) in the elite Buckeye fraternity. Not that this translates to the NFL, but you have to admit, this pretty damn impressive. The guy never really got his chance in the NFL because of an injury and because the Raven's decided to stick with their current QB even after Smith got healthy again.
  10. Umm, I think he won the Heisman.
  11. First, the jokes are not in any way a derogatory toward God. They are meant to be jokes as you stated. Just because you want to pretend to take the high road by becoming a stuffed shirt and outlining how offended you are doesn't really amount to much. And nobody said anything about Christianity. I may not be a holy roller like you, but I do have some respect for the faith. Telling me that I don't tells me how poor you are at reading what people are about. You are right about one thing though....some people need to grow up. Growing up though doesn't mean we have to lose our sense of humor. Oh yea, I almost forgot. I actually think Tebow would be a great pick in the draft. I was just having a little fun until now.
  12. That's funny too. But I don't see it playing out quite like that. Tebow drops back to pass, sees the linebacker coming off of the left side of the line. "Jesus", he says and takes off running. Immediately he gets pounded from the right side of the line but miraculously manages to stay on his feet. "Jesus, that was close." He squeezes through the tackles and meets an ILB head on who knocks him out cold. He wakes up 15 minutes later rubbing his head and says "Jesus, what just hit me". He goes back in for the second quarter and starts handing the ball off to one of the running backs so they can meet Jesus. Third quarter he works up the nerve to try passing again. Drops back and THEN boom........ what you said. Fourth quarter he is carted off the field after getting flattened by a big NT. While riding the meat wagon off the field and still in a daze, instead of seeing stars circling around his head, he sees a bunch of tiny Jesus' circling and he lays down peaceful like because Jesus he knows Jesus is watching over him.
  13. So that's why they picked up a RT instead of a left..................Because Tebow is left handed!!! These guys are going to pick him in the first because he won't be their by their second. AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!! The sky is falling! THE SKY IS FALLLINGGGGGGGGGGGGGG!!!!!!!!
  14. You are a foam brick. Just launch yourself over the coffee table and there you go.
  15. Your probably right. Stranger things have happened though. It's hard for me to imagine him in a Bills uniform anyway.
  16. Did anyone notice that at the bottom of that article there is a reference stating that ESPN reported the Bills are interested in Joey Porter?
  17. Have you been watching Sonny and Cher reruns?
  18. I changed my golf swing with great results.
  19. I was having a flashback to when the Chicago Bears handed the ball off to "Refrigerator" Perry. He actually made it into the end zone a couple of times.
  20. Yes, Stroud and Williams will move to DE. My guess is that the FO is diligently seeking a nose tackle for the middle.
  21. While they are planning to switch to a 3-4 that does not mean they are planning a 100% 3-4. You will definitely see them also using a 4-3. Last year's defense did produce against the pass and they are not going to completely abandon the things that worked. I believe they will put some beef on the line in the form of a good nose tackle to put a stop to teams running up the gut on us late in games. All of these doom and gloom theories flying around are just plain goofy. An apple falls on their heads and they start running around screaming that the sky is falling. The defense is going to surprise people because offenses will not know what kind of defense is coming at them. And as far as guys like Schobel and Maybin, they will definitely be used as OLB's in a 3-4. Saying that they can't play that position just for the sake of saying it doesn't mean anything. Both have proven they can come off of the edge to put pressure on the QB. Why wouldn't they be good at it? They might even play DE in a 4-3 scheme as well once in a while. Football players don't stop becoming football players just because they switch positions. Open your minds up to the possibilities instead of moaning and groaning over perceived weaknesses. The sky is not falling. I am not drinking koolaid and please no wisecracks about the beer I'm drinkin' either.
