  1. I guess the Twitter fad isn't over yet.
  2. Would you take 8'-8" or 3'-13" up your arse? Where do you freaking people come from?
  3. What take? No possibility of this happening so there nothing to have take on.
  4. Nick, that was a great interview! Keep up the good work.
  5. At the 6 minute mark, his helmet is knocked off and he is still fighting for more yards. He's a fighter. Me likey.
  6. That's the one I was thinking of. Where is he now?
  7. LB Resign Poz. S Resign Whitner(I'll probably get bashed for this, but he is the best available) CB Resign Florence(He has a lot of experience and we need a leader for our new CBs) TE Andre Smith(We need some depth here and he has some upside) QB - we need one or two on our roster but I am up in the air on who. The way I see it, we could either grab two young guys with potential or we could grab one viable veteran starter that can win games in Fitz's absence. I like Hasselbeck or Palmer but there really is a very small chance of getting wily veterans like this. I know a lot of people like Thigpen, but he just scares me. Tough call here. As for the offensive line, I think with the addition of Hairston and our acquisitions from the last couple of years we can stand pat here. Wood, Levitre, Hangartner, Bell, Urbik, Wang and a couple of lesser known backups are on this team as well. Baring major injuries we are good. If we acquire anyone it'll be a be a tackle. Front seven is looking pretty good with the last couple of year's acquisitions, though you can never have enough LBs. We are looking great at the tackle positions and DE positions. K. Williams, Troupe, Carrington, Dareus, D. Edwards, Jasper all show great promise. I don't know if any of our LBs are probowl worthy, but with a front like this, they are bound to look better. Skill positions like RB and WR also look pretty good. We still don't know what we have in Easley but he'll be back this year and the rest of our line-up is certainly nothing to sneeze at. We have some very dangerous weapons in the arsenal. Our new running back is considered a one cut and up the field runner who is very good at finding running lanes between the tackles. This is something that Spiller struggled with last year. A nice complimentary pick. I think we can stand pat here as well. Greatest needs at this point appear to be QB, TE and LB. We have some talent but in these three positions, I would not say great talent. It is possible that a couple of stars will rise out of this group but QB and TE at the very least need depth.
  8. OK, you lost 100% credibility with the link to Walter Football. This is the absolute worst place to find smart football information. And reality is not always a cold dose. I know you are a long suffering Bill's fan, but wake up, man. There is much to be optimistic about.
  9. Another interesting thing is Gailey said his body fat level was pretty low. To have a body that size and low body fat is amazing. This guy is definitely a very rare find. It may not translate on the field, but it won't be because of physical attributes. Desire is the only thing that could slow him down now. And frankly, given his sudden promotion to the pros, I think he is going to do every thing in his power to hang on. Can't wait to see him line up across from an NFL caliber center.
  10. Actually, Fitz and Palmer are good friends. I don't think anybody's feelings would be hurt, but I do think they would push each other for the starting job. Palmer has put up some serious numbers for the Bengals but that is a team that just hasn't been able to put all the pieces together. I wouldn't mind him coming to Buffalo at all. Maybe we'll get lucky and they just let him retire without demanding a compensatory pick.
  11. We'll have to revisit this thread to see how "grounded" in reality you are. Why don't you move your pious arse to another thread and let people enjoy their team. This is just some good old fashion optimism. There is nothing wrong with that but you on the other hand seem to want to be a know it all and a spoiler. Give it a rest.
  12. That was actually a nice article and Donte actually sounded sincere. His replies were reasonable and he is sounding a bit more mature than in the past. I hope he does come back and have the battle of his life to retain his starting job.
  13. Palmer and Fitz are good friends. It's not so far fetched that he may land in Buffalo. Cincy says they have no intention of letting him go. Palmer is threatening to retire if they don't and swears he will never play another game in Cincy. Sticky situation, but if he leaves, Cincy will want some kind of compensation for him. Question is how much?
  14. Shoot, add Dwan Edwards and Alex Carrington and we actually have depth if someone gets hurt or have a nice rotation to keep these big guys fresh. We just didn't have that last year. The Bills have quietly been building a dominating defense for two years and everyone is only looking at what we got this year. The addition of LBs, safeties and CBs all add up to an overall improvement in all phases of the defense. I don't know if we'll see Poz, Whitner or Florence back but if we do, we'll have one hell of a lot of depth and one hell of a lot of competition for starting jobs. George Edwards and Dave Wannstedt have got to be licking their chops right now. I know I am.
  15. Call me crazy, but I have higher expectations.
  16. I want to see him lined up with Eric Wood in front of him. That will tell you what you need to know. As for what he did in college, he play at Bethel. You aren't going to find anything there. The team had a horrible offensive line so that is where they moved him even though he was probably a better fit as a nose tackle body wise. We're just going to have to wait till training camp to see, but damn I am stoked to see what he can do. As our scout said, guys this big strong and athletic don't grow on trees and in fact are extremely rare. He was intrigued enough to follow his progress for years. That just doesn't happen unless they saw something worth investing the time on.
  17. Delusional? Dude, I get the impression that Jasper would love nothing more than a chance to go toe to toe with Wilfork. I wouldn't exactly call that delusional, though. There is nothing wrong with optimism. Nothing at all.
  18. He can play offensive tackle too.
  19. That was funny. The thing that is really intriguing is that when he was asked to get below 400lbs, he did and then some. It takes hard work and dedication to do that, but from watching the way he worked out, it seemed to me that he was just getting started. He is going to get stronger and faster and that is just plain scary.
  20. You won't if he tackles the band wagon. Seriously though, how can you not be excited about this kid. After seeing the pick during the draft, i didn't think too much of it. After reading a couple of articles about him, I just raised my eyebrows a bit over all of the hype. Up to that point, a resisted actually looking at his training videos. But today I finally looked at them and all I can say is OMFG. This guy really is athletic and as Astrobot said "you can't teach big". The fact that he was drafted says a lot period. The article about the scout that worked him out was hilarious. He didn't have proper equipment to work him out so he used a shield and his own body. Hand said he was hit so hard it nearly knocked him out, literally saw stars. And it still hurt the next day. I'm sorry for anyone who isn't excited, because you are really missing out on some fun here. This guy is intriguing and if you aren't excited, you are a freakin' mushroom.
  21. Williams, Jasper and Darius. That is more than 1000lbs of bull rush. Add Troupe on short yardage situations and you have well over 1300lbs. All of these guys are big and disruptive forces. Detroit doesn't have anything on this line. If there is an up and coming Defense in this league, it is Buffalo. Mark it down. We can revisit this thread later. Our team is getting better. Waaaaaaaaaaaay better.
  22. We have one hell of a lot of young talent on the offensive line. I may be a bit optimistic, but it is my opinion that these young men will get it together this year. Our o-line struggled last year but they were pretty bad at run blocking and had some issues with injuries. I'm expecting a focus on getting the run game going this year and taking some pressure off of Fitz. The defense so aggressively added to in the draft and bringing in Wannstedt was brilliant. I think there is a very good chance that our record from last year is flipped. I am also very much looking forward to seeing what Fitz can do with the starting job right out of the gate. There are a lot of things to be optimistic about. And as far as I am concerned, there ain't nothing wrong with that. It gets real old listening to the doom and gloomers around here. To me they just sound like a bunch of pontificating, love to here themselves talk, white noise. I can't wait for this lockout crap to end so we begin the transition. People who talk this way just don't seem to get how powerful Billieving is. This is our team and if you want to see them get better then do something about it and get behind them.
  23. I was reading through these posts and was thinking "where is the Senator when you need him". Scrolled down one more time and there you were.
  24. Never is a strong word. Not very likely, yes. As for being better than Fitz, that still remains to be seen. He might actually like the idea.
