  1. Can this possibly be 'the guy'?? http://bleacherreport.com/articles/355321-...t-round#page/10
  2. and just to clarify it was me that said "I think this time they got it right"
  3. I know and I said that you have to and will be suspicious until proven wrong, but it's been enough for me to see that the tide is changing.
  4. In a few years I really believe that we're going to be talking about this offseason as the one where we finally got back on track after this wasted decade. I know there's 10 years that say odds are against me/us, but I really feel confident for the first time in a long time. I, like anyone else, probably would not have selected the combo of Nix, Gailey, Whaley, but they're absolutely perfect and proven. I really believe that we will be top notch organization in short order. There's been a lot of bungling done by our past front offices that's been plain to see by anyone. But no one can deny that we've had talented players come and go and continue to be successful elsewhere. We just didn't have the person/group to put all the pieces together right. Now I feel we do. This is gonna be fun to watch over the next few years. Hopefully this is our decade. So all of you fans out there with a bad taste in your mouth, that love to bash this owner/front office, just remember to be happy when this gets turned around in September. This is going to be a really sweet present from Ralph Wilson - leaving us with another winner. I understand that you have to and will bash until proven wrong, but don't hold on to your bashing ways for too long when it does turn because it's a lot more fun to be happy than to be negative all the time. It takes a lot less energy too...energy that could be used elsewhere..
  5. and why are you so sure that "there is little to no chance of getting a so called 'franchise QB'" in the second round? Dan Williams is gone in round 2 and the other two could be good and could not be, just like anyone else.
  6. but that doesn't quite make sense...if the DTs are in fact a more deeper and far more talented group than the QBs then you would want to take a QB before the talent level drops off so severely that he's just a practice squad player. And then you can take a DT from the deeper and far more talented group.
  7. I say screw him. We are dumping our crap (save April) to the Eagles. I love this Billification of the Eagles. Plus I doubt anyone in Buffalo is crying over Bozo the quarterback not wanting to moonwalk into RWS. Dude is a straight clown and he can have fun never winning the SB right alongside us. Only difference is he has to retire one day...
  8. um, i won't take the whole thing but your mock draft is not based in reality. not only will davis not be there when we pick 9, cody wont be there in rd 2 either, maybe lefevour in rd 3 but we'd prob have to take him in the 2nd or if he dropped in the 2nd a trade up would prob be the route to getting him. i'd have no problem with straight cutting whitner, having byrd and wilson/scott and wendling as backups. but i certainly wouldnt want to trade lynch and especially not mcgee.
  9. don't be ridiculous. i don't get how ppl actually believe that the bills drafted last year knowing that they were going to fire jauron and retool the front office. it's ridiculous to think that they (even if they wanted to) would have had the foresight to draft for the 3-4 if they didn't even have the foresight to fire jauron before week whatever.
  10. I had to jump on the phone as well, would someone please post what he said about the QBs? I heard him saying something about Brohm but it seemed like he had talked a little about personnel. Thx
  11. speaking of reaching for players in the draft...what's your user name??
  12. Couldn't disagree more, I would 'take' him if there at 9 but only and only if Sam Bradford and Rolando McClain are off the board. Bradford is the guy at QB. He is the best QB in this class and someone that Tha Chan could build around. Yes the shoulder, but I think they were two separate freak injuries. He's 6'5'' and can read defenses. I want the QB that has a nickname like Matty Ice or something, NOT the one with all the tangibles. There is just something JP Losman-esque about Jimmy Clausen - and I'm talking solely about his leadership qualities. He was the biggest high school recruit and proclaimed he'd bring ND football back. Obviously did not happen and he did put up good numbers but I just get the feeling that he's gonna flame out in the NFL.
  13. i tried. i only have it saved on my comp, could not find the pic online to post the link...sorry, you'll have to employ a magnifying glass in this instance

  15. So you want someone based on their demeanor and not ability to be a leader and teacher? Who would command more respect out of these two: 34 year old son of a coach OC or 50 year old ex-championship Bears football player DC? I think even if Frazier has a seemingly stoic demeanor, what will make the next HC succesful or not is the staff he's able to put together. Now again, who of the two would you think could put together a better staff???
  16. I just don't understand how anyone could want Schottenheimer. He's got one of the best olines in the league so they have the number 1 rushing attack. That's not his ingenuity, just better OL than the opponent's DL. Also, part of that reason for that is because they have the 31st pass o in the league and cannot throw. If I'm hiring a coordinator, I want one of the best. Not half of a coordinator. Their pass o wasn't special last year and was bad two years ago. He's really young and seems talented, but as a coordinator. I don't think he has the skill or experience needed (life or football) to be the head guy. Not only that, we don't need just anyone qualified to be a HC - if so I'd take Perry Fewell over him. We need a great HC to turn around a bad franchise. Very different than a respectable club looking for some new blood. I like Frazier a lot. He's my early favorite, but I'm a tiny bit worried about his defensive philosophy. But if he were willing to switch schemes, knowing the climate and conference then I'd give him the reins.
  17. 12/30 - Ryan Fitzpatrick resumes as starting QB 12/31 - All fans throw up on themselves thinking about this dumpster fire
  18. Whoa, whoa - wait! This isn't a thread about assistant vice presidents?!?
