Wondering why We are not hearing much from the players.
Dr. Trooth replied to 26TrapDraw's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
They're waitng for Thurman to confirm that "it's on like a MOFO". -
Dude. Merriman plays like he's 46. So, no he can't play the 46 and no we shouldn't even think about resigning.
-
Wonder if Stevie believes there should be an open competition for his position?

Did anyone keep the warm fuzzy stories from 3yrs ago?
Dr. Trooth replied to Iraq Vet's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree... and I ain't buying what there selling yet. I'm also not passing judgement on Marrone's hiring, his assistants, who they draft, or any of the players moves that will be made at this point. I'll wait until they've played 4 games to see where they stand and make a judgement . I've said it before.... this organization has pissed on and pissed off the fans for over a dozen seasons. Yeah, their brand is tarnished. So, I encourage all of the fans to take a wait and see attitude. Don't buy Bills tix or Bills s#it until they earn back our trust with "Ws". -
...Is it the real deal??? I've been critical of Russ and his Koolaid Brew each year (no, really) but although I'm skeptical, it is a new approach and tastes different and better than the last several batches. Not that I'm gonna run out and buy season's tix. I'm just sitting back and taking it in because I don't really know what the Bills will really be until early October... after game 4, we'll all know whether or not it's "on like a MoFo" .... and don't take that to mean 1-3 or 2-2 would be a bad thing at that point. We'll know if they are gamers or not and if they have the potential to get better and make a late season run. Meanwhile if you like Koolaid but don't prefer the Bills flavor, take gander at the Koolaid Jets fans are sipping.... http://www.nfl.com/news/story/0ap1000000124079/article/rex-ryan-new-york-jets-still-talking-the-talk-after-610-season

So, why aren't the Jets bringing him in to compete with Sanchise?
-
It's going to be an attacking D.... I don't see Mario bringing off the edge from a speed perspective. His forte is size and strength. I see Moats as the only pure 3-4 OLB on the roster. Anderson seems to fit the mold at the other OLB.
-
Barnett 4 sure is g-o-n-e. Probably Kelsay, and I don't think Moore is sure thing. What I see it looks like.... only from my perspective.... DL M. Williams, Darious, K Williams. Carrington, Troup (or incoming NT) plus incoming DE LBS Moats, Sheppard, White (or incoming ILB), Anderson Bradham, perhaps Moore, and or White. At the very least they must bring in another Nose tackle and ILB. Between the tackles is where the Bills got gouged. Also, because of his size, the Bills are going to have to figure out where he fits, if at all, and move from there.

Bills hire Mike Pettine for Defensive Coordinator

Ryan Nassib - QB - Syracuse
Dr. Trooth replied to BuffaloBillsForever's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
1) Nassib aint a Bill 2) Why the hell would PFW name Nassib their 1st team All America, whose selections are soley based on a how a player's skill set translates to the pro game? Yeah, the pre-emininent football Pro Fooball writers came to a consensus on that. 3) This football team won 6 games with Fitz, not once, but twice, with him starting 32 games in total. Do you not think Nassib or any other QB could not do the same damn thing? 4) No one thought Tannehill would do s#it. He didn't even deserve to be the 8th pick and the Dolphins were doomed. Tannehill didn't even have a full two years as a college starter. Guess what... Dolphins are better than the Bills. The old schoolers need a wake up call. The game is changing while you're bitching. It ain't about just one player It's about getting the right organization, the right HC, the right caoches, the right 53. If Nassib gets here, it will be because he belongs here. If not, it will be someone else who is a better fit. -
Bills hire Nathaniel Hackett for Offensive Coordinator
Dr. Trooth replied to cmjoyce113's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sheesh. A lot of folks need a nap. Let the HC bring in whomever he wants. Not a damn one of you know how this is gonna shake out. Let it run it's course. By the beginning of October we'll know what we've got. Any whining right now is totally stupid. -
Schefter: Cowher plans to coach again at some time
Dr. Trooth replied to Punch's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He's taking the job at North Carolina. Have you heard??? the ACC is going to be a real good football conference now that a slew of Big East schools are coming. -

This just in.... Rob Ryan has been canned as DC in Dallas.... He's having breakfast burritos with Marrone at 5AM. -
Bills hire Nathaniel Hackett for Offensive Coordinator
Dr. Trooth replied to cmjoyce113's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well... what would expect with their OC getting canned and then 2 kids that aren't close to being ready to caoch an offense are just thrown in there.... with Trent Edwards and Fitz as the QBs. How the hell they won six games is a miracle in and of itself. -
Bills hire Nathaniel Hackett for Offensive Coordinator
Dr. Trooth replied to cmjoyce113's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Let me clarify.... I was only giving a for "what it's worth" , in no way am I optimistic (or pessimistic) or endorsing Hackett as OC.... I'm just taking it all in and watch things develop. Funny, but, for the last umpteen years the most exciting time to be a Bills fan is the off season. No NFL games are won or lost in the offseason. I don't give a crap who they cut, who they bring in, or why.... I just want to start seeing the Ws add up when it counts. Just sayin -
Geez... and his twin brother already hired Dennis Thurman to be the DC.... at least that's the word on the street. Damn, what a circus that could have been in NY. .... the trifecta, the old man Buddy and his two sons all would have coached in NY

How old was Chuckie when he became an OC? Also.... Hackett worke with the Bills when Pill was OC the season Schonert got canned at the beginning and later on Jauron got the axe too. Hackett was in theupstairs in the booth calling plays down to the Pill. I remember a few games on TV when during they broadcast they cut to the booth a couple of times and showed him and mentioned he was Paul Hackett's Dad. Dudes.. he's done this before, now he's got his license. -
Bills hire Nathaniel Hackett for Offensive Coordinator
Dr. Trooth replied to cmjoyce113's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Syracuse News at 6 pm said Schafer is Cuse new HC and that Hackett was staying on as OC.... the sports dude even said that the newly recruited QB Zach ??? from Texas had calls form K State and another school after Marrone bolted to the Bills and declined because Hackett called him said he was staying on with the Cuse. -
Obviously he couldn't until Harbaugh came on the scene... Smith never had a qb rating above 82.2 until last year

Bills hire Mike Pettine of the Jets as DC???
Dr. Trooth replied to LiterateStylish's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I get that. But, if you're exploring options you don't say that **** publically. It's ok to share that with the team reps you interview within the confines of 4 walls and a doorknob, but I think saying it pubically is poor judgement. And, being with Ryan, he's lived with a lot of bad judgement from his head coach... both actions and with his mouth. Hopefully Pettine learned how not to behave.
