That FG we just settled for is looking incredibly lame right now.
-
He should be suspended for as many games as AW misses because of the illegal hit. Automatic.
-
He can be had for FAR less than a 3 or a 2. More like a 5 or 6.I'd trade a #2 if the plan was to keep him long term. a #3 if not.
-
They didn't do s**t, which is disappointing. And what did they do?
Anyway, he was reported as not in the concussion protocol and was team meetings today, so why do you think his career is probably ended?
Given AW's history, I'll be surprised to see him on the field in the next few weeks, regardless whether he's attending team meetings.
-
Don't watch the hit, just watch his feet. He's not taking a normal step, both of his feet leave the ground together, Landry is literally launching at William's neck. I'll be disappointed if there isn't a suspension.
I will be disappointed if Landry leaves New Era under his own power in December. That was a blatant intent to injure and probably ended the career of another player. The league will do nothing, so it's up to AW's teammates.
-
We play this team again. I would have no problem if Landry were carted off in a stretcher in that game. In fact, I would have no problem signing a player off the street to bring that about, although I would hope one of AW's teammates would take it upon himself.I was hoping for payback, especially when Landry caught the onsides kick. Pile on and pummel him!!! (But that's the angry fan in me).
-
There is definitely some truth to that, but the plague of 3-and-outs when the game is on the line are part of a long pattern, unfortunately. And why don't you look and see why. A standard dropback passer would have been sacked 10 times today
-
How about this--You show me the rule that says it can't be unnecesssary roughness if the guy leads with his shoulder, okay?Post the rule i am looking for it cant find it
-
Correct. It was a clear intent to injure. Doesn't matter that he led with the shoulder. Remember Burfict's cheap shot on Antonio Brown last year? He led with the shoulder, too.he leaves his feet and launches himself to AW's head, had he targeted his chest I could give him a pass but that was not the case.
-
Yep. When the game was on the line, TT was a 3-and-out machine.Ahhh yes the garbage time 7 aided by penalty after penalty makes it all good
-
Wait, don't forget the garbage-time touchdown. Kinda like the garbage-time victories in December.3 and out
3 and out
Td
6 and out
3 and out
When you were winning and needed to close out the game that is what your QB does.
-
It was a great game, one of the best of the Jim Kelly era. Surprised no one has mentioned that the Browns playoff game was also the birth of the K-gun offense. It was the first game that the team played no-huddle from start to finish. It worked so well that they decided to start the 1990 season with it--and the rest is history.
-
Doesn't necessarily mean he will be among the "actives" for Sunday, though, or does it?
-
True, but no NFL coach (other than Tomlin, and maybe Belichick) has the balls to do it.Just go for 2 everytime you will come out ahead in the long run
-
Yep. I almost think Woods would be a bigger loss, not because he's a better player but because there is nothing behind him. Williams, Gillislee and Bush will be more than adequate for one game.RBs don't move lines, especially not through a key number. Maybe Adrian Peterson in his prime would move a half point on a non-key number.
-
Poppy rooster! The worst no call heard round the world was on this play:
Dennis Erickson lost his HCing job as a result of this travesty at the hands of the Tuna and the Refs.
I don't know what the big deal is. The football on Testaverde's helmet clearly crossed the goal-line before his knee was down.
As I recall, the Bills also got screwed by this call--I think they would have won the division instead of qualifying as a wildcard that year.
-
The teams the Bills have beaten are not really bad teams, like you might find in CFB. All are dangerous and all can beat you on any given day. Simply drilling the lower tier teams on your schedule gets you 7-8 wins, which puts you on the cusp of the playoffs. And if I'm not mistaken, the Bills were underdogs in three of those games (I know the Rams line moved, but the Rams were initially favored.)
-
If they wanted to challenge all penalties, games would be six hours long. You could call holding on practically every play at the line. If they wanted to limit it to facemask, horsecollars, targeting and PI that might work.
Utter nonsense. Replays of PI could simply be made one of the categories of calls subject to coaches' challenge under the current system. And I believe it should be extended to roughing the passer and unnecessary roughness calls, as well.
-
That play looked clean during regular game action, but was clear PI on the replay.
I agree. I watched it real time it just looked like two guys fighting for the ball, but Sherman clearly grabbed JJ's arm. I have been saying for a long time that PI calls (and probably non-calls) should be subject to review. They have a huge impact on the game and are called incorrectly more often than not.

Don't expect to see Lawson play much. He has never taken a NFL snap.
Actually, Shaq's never even participated in a real NFL practice. It will take time. Does anyone know whether he's been activated and whether his shoulder is now 100%?
-
I was wrong, and I repent.
-
Perhaps the most ignorant thing you have ever posted--and that takes in an awful lot of territory. His hard line stance against an entire race has made this remarkably ridiculous.
-
And going "all in" for Matt Stafford would be the ticket to excellence, right???Glad you're content with mediocrity.
-
just like Tom Brady, when he came back after being suspended and unable to practice for four weeks...Oh, wait...Fact: He is hurt because he was suspended and couldn't fully practice...

Thank God we scored that FG on the first drive. That's how you beat Brady--sustained 3-point drives.
