  1. Thank God Tua has a noodle arm.
  2. He has been for a while. No one else like him.
  3. I don’t know why Miami bothers to run the ball.
  4. Pats game over
  5. I can’t believe the Titans are rolling Ryan Tannehill out for another season. What a waste..
  6. Looks like Browns gave up a ton of draft picks and even more money for a sexual deviant version of Jacoby Brissett…
  7. Deshaun Watson: Hold my beer!
  8. The Cards seem to have stumbled out of the gate in the Caleb Williams derby. The Lambs, though, aren’t taking any chances, moving Cooper Kupp to IR…strong move. Look for Stafford to come down with a mystery injury any week now.
  9. Good thing the Steelers were so impressive in the preseason…
  10. Interesting. I’ve thought that since 2020 the Bills were one of, if not the top, draws in the NFL and I would have thought last year’s Rams-Bills a more attractive game.
  11. Seems like kind of an understatement
  12. I suspect he’s got some off-field problems…
  13. So your belief is that if Hines was driving his jetski in a completely legal and prudent manner, and a guy who was driving his jetski 50 mph and out of control hits him, then the damages awarded to Hines would be reduced in some amount because of Hines’s contributory negligence? Is that your position or am I missing something?
  14. Yeah, those guys were awful. How did you like that WR screen to Reynolds on third and 10? Good lord...
  15. Yeah, there are lots of potential avenues for holding the rental company liable...the guy could have been visibly intoxicated, he could have brought alcohol onto the jetski, he might not have had a valid drivers license, which most of these places require, or he might not have taken a boater safety course, which is required in some states to rent a jetski.
  16. In a case like this, where the damages are well into 7 figures, the idea is to sue (or threaten to sue) as many potentially responsible parties as possible, which has the effect of bringing more insurance carriers to the table. The more carriers there are, the more likely it is that there will be enough money to pay your client's damages. So yeah, it seems pretty likely that whoever rented to the guy who hit Hines will be brought in, regardless what sort of waiver Hines might have signed.
  17. You have zero—and I mean zero—idea what you’re talking about.
  18. There is no need. If Hines was not negligent then there would be no reduction. The fact that he was moving (if in fact he was) would not automatically make him negligent. Period.
  19. There is no such rule anywhere.
  20. It is my understanding that because Hines suffered a “non-football injury”, the Bills have the right to terminate his contract and pay him nothing. Whether they have exercised that right is a different matter. I have not heard, one way or the other. Sorry, that is not how it works.
  21. Agreed. The Lions are a dink and dunk offense that is not going to scare anyone. They remind me of last year's Chargers. They need to get Jamison Williams back and figure out a way to use Gibbs in the passing game or they are going nowhere.
  22. Agreed. Detroit looks to me like a middle-tier NFC team...certainly the sort of team any KC fan would have chalked up as a home W before the season started. Their margin for error just got a little narrower...
  23. I don't recall any easy interceptions that were missed by the Detroit DBs, but I don't doubt that there were one or two. That happens pretty much every game to pretty much every QB.
  24. It was only one game and it probably doesn't tell us that much about either team. The bottom line is, if Toney only drops one ball instead of four, the Chiefs win easily and everyone's talking about what a magician Mahomes is, being able to win without Kelce and without any great WRs.
  25. I don’t think it’s a trend. The teams you’ve mentioned all lack a great passing quarterback…they are trying to make a virtue of necessity by using expensive assets on their running games. I don’t think it’s a formula for long-term success and those teams are not going to consistently beat teams like KC, Buffalo, Cincinnati and the Eagles, who have high level passing games. As for the Lions, I am not a fan of their draft, as much as I like Gibbs and Laporta. They had four top-45 picks, including 6 overall, and didn’t come away with a single player at a premium position, despite their crying need at CB and, IMO, WR. The guys they selected will make an impact this year, but it was poor team-building.
