What a horrible trade/draft pick for the 49ers, and yet, if Purdy turns into something better than Jimmy G, it will be a wash…

Josh Britt unverified Breakup rumour

The thread titles are getting more and more bizarre every day... -
Third round pick, maybe. Late second, at most.

I have a feeling that Washington is a real consideration at 27...and I would not be against it.
-
How would they even know? Outside of running back, they never draft any offensive players…
-
Tyree Wilson isn’t lasting into the twenties. But I agree that this first round is less predictable than usual.
-
It would be awesome if Wright were available at 27 on April 27, but something tells me that ain't happening. That means there must be a few guys who we are mocking ahead of him who probably won't actually be gone before the Bills pick. Just looking at the list, I'd say those guys are Cam Smith, Michael Mayer, and maybe Myles Murphy. The other 23 seem like solid bets to be gone before we pick.

I think OBD would be thrilled with this result -
TSW Mock Draft 2.0 Poll - Who should the Bills take at #27

Run to the podium! -
Is Cousins tradeable? He’s still there…
-
Really? Why?

It's possible that Houston doesn't like Stroud, but if that's the case, they should be trading down with someone who does (assuming there is someone), not taking the top defender at 2 overall. If I was a Texans fan, I'd be apoplectic about the thought of having to live through another season of Davis Mills.
-
If you watched the Chargers' games, you would know that their WRs could not stretch the field at all. They were a dink and dunk team and their YPA was one of the worst in the league, despite having a top five QB. Their receivers stink and there is no way they don't take either Kincaid or a WR in the first round. With Herbert, they have the ability to outscore the Chiefs, but not with their current crop of receivers. Branch is a very good player, but that would be an unwise use of a first round pick.
-
If the board falls this way, the Chargers would be insane not to pick Flowers or Kincaid. Their receiving “weapons” are pathetic.
-
So the Texans are going to roll with Mills again? Inconceivable. If so, they will be sorely disappointed...

Did anyone ever figure out why the Lions traded Hockenson last year? Was he a locker-room cancer? Would they really turn around and spend the 18th overall pick on a TE?
-
Totally agree. There are some head scratchers, of course, but I’d bet that this sort of mock is as accurate (or inaccurate) as most of the experts’. And as a tool for figuring out who might be available when the Bills pick at 27 and 59, I think it’s really useful.

Is that the third Cook brother, along with James and Dalvin?

To me, "prayer service planned for ______________" means that person has died. As I said, just a completely bizarre situation.
-
It’s an understandable reaction. When is the last time you heard of a church holding a “prayer service” for someone who is still alive? This whole thing is bizarre…

I’m afraid so. Chargers really need some receivers who can stretch the field, though. Despite Herbert’s talent, they are a dink and dunk offense.

Players you Absolutely Want the Bills to Draft
mannc replied to Warriorspikes51's topic in The Stadium Wall
With only 6 picks in a draft that lacks top end talent, I think the Bills will be listening to offers to trade back, unless by some miracle, their guy makes it to 27. As you said, though, who’s going to want to trade up? Raiders make a lot of sense. -
With the 3rd pick in the 2023 TSW Mock Draft 2.0, the Arizona Cardinals select Tyree Wilson, DE, Texas Tech. Wilson is easily the top edge rusher in this class, with a much higher upside than Will Anderson, who was not even a consideration for us. Wilson was double-teamed constantly at Texas Tech and still wreaked havoc. 6’6”, with an enormous wingspan and great athletic ability, Wilson reminds us of Julius Peppers. (He even looks like Peppers.) The Cards need help everywhere, so IRL, they would be seriously listening to offers for this pick, but in a no-trade mock, we’re going with the edge rusher with the most upside. The Colts and @BarleyNY are on the clock.
