  1. How do you know?
  2. Because the defenses are playing well?
  3. Miami really misses Achane…Mostert just doesn’t present the same kind of threat for a defense.
  4. I bet Williams packs it in after the Ducks game on Saturday…
  5. Well I’m watching him in person next Saturday (against Williams) and I’ll report back😃
  6. It’s really just an early NFL draft discussion…These guys we’re talking about will definitely be heard from again.
  7. Did not know that about Penix…I see why you think he won’t go top 5.
  8. Wow, Penix in Minnesota would be scary. You like Nix more than I do. This is his fifth year as a CFB starter…I think his ceiling is low.
  9. I think Penix is a much better prospect than Nix. Nix looks like an NFL backup to me, a more mobile Mac Jones. Penix has good size, a great arm, and tremendous accuracy. He looks like a prototype NFL pocket passer. Curious who else you like from this class…best class since….?
  10. Way too early to say. I agree that Williams is top five but beyond that, who knows? Except he was doing the same thing against Cal and Arizona…
  11. The thing that bothers me about Williams is that it takes him way too long to get rid of the ball. (During the game tonight, they said his time to throw is the highest in the country.). I don’t know if that means he’s a slow processor, or something else, but it will be a problem in the NFL if it continues.
  12. Raiders will get one of them…
  13. I know we’re not supposed to talk CFB here but it’s Saturday night before a huge Bills game and this is a preview of guys who are going to be huge players in the draft in a few months. Unreal game, with both guys delivering as promised, and more. Penix throws a beautiful ball and seems to me to be the better overall prospect, but Willams’s running ability is going to translate really well at the next level. Will be great to see both of them play in the league next year…
  14. The worst is when players wear bright yellow gloves…when I’m watching on TV it makes me think there’s a flag thrown on every play…
  15. There’s no telling that the Bears could have signed Sweat in FA and they have zero pass rush and really very little DL talent at all. He’s certainly better than what they could get with the 40th pick in the draft, albeit more expensive. They are still going to be loaded with draft picks in April and they just filled a big hole.
  16. It’s very important (for both teams) not to get behind early…I predict that whichever team wins the toss will elect to receive the opening kickoff. I really hope the Bills do this. Says who?
  17. There is urgency if you’re a GM or coach who’s afraid he’ll be fired if the team shows no progress this year.
  18. You’re probably right, especially with a draft like this…they’ll never have a better chance to get a quarterback.
  19. What I said is that Rousseau and Sweat are comparable players, both physically and production-wise. Rousseau is still young and developing and yes, he will probably land a big contract in a year or two… Do you think there is a chance they stick with Fields and use the first of those picks on Harrison? I think they are in a really good position, thanks to Carolina’s foolishness.
  20. Yep, the Bears will have two top-five picks in a loaded draft. Will be interesting to see if they use one on a QB, but they can certainly trade one of those picks for a huge haul. They will be in a position to rebuild very quickly if they play this right.
  21. Sweat has elite traits…his production has been somewhat disappointing but that Washington team is a joke and Del Rio is an abysmal defensive coordinator. He is young and has a lot of upside.
  22. Not a bad move by Chicago. Their defense is awful. Got a very good edge player for a second round pick. Sweat seems comparable to Greg Rousseau…next year Beane will have to decide whether to offer him a deal like this.
  23. There is no evidence that there are more injuries on Thursday night, nor is there any reason to believe “Thursday Night games suck”…there have been some really good Thursday night games, and some stinkers, just like MNF. i just don’t understand this argument…you’d really rather have no football on Thursday nights??? Do fans complain about the player’s’ “exhaustion” during the NHL playoffs? That’s surely as much of a grind as playing one football game a year with three full days rest…
  24. The problem with that play on the goal line is that if it gets stuffed, it's liable to lose yardage. In the Tampa game, the third down play was literally from the 1-foot line, a perfect spot for a sneak. After the 3rd down play was stuffed, it became 4th and 2, which became a passing down, apparently, leading to the near-disaster throw into the flat
  25. It seems like that to me, too, but are there really more injuries this year than in the past? There has to be data on this...
