  1. I am not hijacking this thread with this comment, but that is where "journalism" overall is today. Poor headlines all over the place... I agree with your comment
  2. Not calling you out, I haven't been on a lot like I have in the past. How did you manage to come across what you know (without giving up sources etc) I'm just trying to catch up and am hoping your info is legit.
  3. It's agreed to and signed off in the original contract. The player and agent never really care in the long run since restructures require paying money sooner rather than later. How do I know this? Wgr and Sal beat it in my head every morning for 45 minutes on my way to work everytime making cap space is being discussed...Lol
  4. They can restructure anytime they like, it's in almost 100% of the contracts, team can do it whenever they want.
  5. Agreed. Kincaid gives a lot of flexibility, a whole lot. Thus far we haven't seen Dorsey do it yet - that was/is my only point.
  6. We all saw it - it just looked really hard later in the season and personnel definitely played a part in it. I'm looking at a higher level - how much leash is there on this team, with this qb and where we are trying to go?
  7. Next draft the cards have 2 1sts, 1 second, 2 3rds, 1 4th, 2 5ths, 1 6th and 1 7th. They have Colt McCoy as their QB while they wait on Kyler to get healthy. This is they year to dump cap $$ and go into next offseason in good cap shape with a boatload of picks. Hopkins will not be playing for them this season. Now that we have 3 picks in and see what we have - where do you stand on Hopkins right now?
  8. I agree with what you say, especially the last part. Being able to see some creativity in his play design would be nice, not everything has to be copy and paste. Some degree of creativity in the number of plays out of one formation would be nice as well.
  9. I posted this in the draft thread when it was first tweeted, but here you go
  10. I was onboard with the Dorsey promotion, but he is the biggest wildcard in all of this and the one the scares me the most. Sean has had very good defenses in his career and he is usually aggressive in his play calling. I'm a bit worried about the overall size of the LBs, but I get changing it up and I understand on a high level what the thought process seems to be. Easier to have faith on the D with Sean having success before. Dorsey - no f-ing clue and it scares the hell out of me. Can he design plays? a trade can easily happen tomorrow or after - hell they may even cut him. Take your lumps this year and clean the cap up for next year
  11. As I said in my post below yours - we have to counter the pass happy offenses, a thumper MLB against KC or Cincy doesn't help us much there. You need guys who can hang with the TEs and help with the WRs and pass catching RBs.... This is the way
  12. We certainly are changing the schemes up on both sides of the ball. Rapp was a give away on that one. When you get to Cincy and KC, they aren't going to maul, pound and bruise you; they are going to throw all over your as$. We have seen that our scheme is great in the regular season and gets exposed in the post season. It will never be said, but I really feel like Sean wanted a change on defense. At that Cincy game watching Frazier just stand there while McD got down with the D players on the sideline to go over film and then seeing him calling plays - it just felt like we couldn't run it back. You can say 12 seconds was a fluke, but again in the playoffs this year we have had a hard time getting off the field. The Tua - less Phins had a go at us. You can bring up Damar and the mental exhaustion and everything else, but you can't just sit back and take shot after shot. For the teams with a strong running game and crap QB/WRs Klein will get a bunch of playing time - against the 3 WR offenses - lighter LBs and 3 safeties or Benford/Jackson, Tre Elam and Taron. It does make sense
  13. We do have a plan, Beane is good. A few thoughts on this pick - 1.) We place a big emphasis on ST - this is certainly one of those picks. 2.) When you spend a couple mill on Matekevich and Taiwan Jones, you can use the picks to reduce the cap hit and save that money to pay others. I get it, but it feels like we maybe place a bit too much importance on them this high in the draft. 3.) McD is a really good DC (after Philly), we do need to add to the D, but this draft overall is a thin light one 4.) This pick was more on physical and athletic traits and hoping you get lucky with development IMO. IN round 3 it is early, but again this is a light draft
  14. we really need to be drafting a year ahead and not like oh szchit we need to fill this hole
