the gas station does not know how much gas you will put in, so it authorizes it for $1 to make sure the card works, then sends the amount to your bank, once it is know, usually a day or two later....if you put the gas in your tank, and go inside and pay for your gas with your cc, the total amount will come out right there...

that is the only time that it happens, credit purchases will come out immediately also

after 30 years of living in WNY(12 of which have been in the city of Buffalo), I finally went to the Anchor Bar on Saturday for wings.....I have to say they were very very good, and they were HUGE...unfortunately, just like the stadium, the place was full of Pats fans, i have to admit they were much better than my favorite place for wings...Duffs, before this visit...I will be going back
