  1. What's your POV on Terry Pegula's statement on Rex firing and timing of it then?
  2. Berchtold led Tim Graham to slaughter with Marone in 2013. Remember this? Does a PR pro do this? #BillsPRmafia http://buffalonews.com/2016/11/25/marrone-week-full-story-doug-marrone-interrogating-reporter-airport-tweets-bills-jaguars/
  3. Let me start by saying Doug Whaley behind a podium on a good day with good news is terrible. Whaley has needed media training from Day 1. The recent media disasters and confusing messaging with Lynn and Whaley start with the mishandling by the Bills communication team and SVP Scott Berchtold should be held accountable. Any savvy experienced media relations pro would have identified the risks with both pressers and planned a strategy with prepared statements delivering succinct transparent messaging with clarity on Tyrod and Rex situations especially given Whaley's media experience. Whaley had the perfect opportunity to come clean on both situations and take charge. Well thought out scripted statements with honesty and clarity would have improved the Bills position and credibility. Instead they put Lynn in the line of fire and Whaley delivered a presser that was a national disaster raising red flags with any potential coach not to mention upcoming free agents. The presser was so bad the Bills had to go into "damage control" with an exclusive Pegula article by John Wawrow, all likely set up by Berchtold. Why didn't they set the record straight before the Whaley and Lynn pressers. While the damage is done more questions should be asked about the role of the Bills communication team and SVP Scott Berchtold in this mess.
  4. Rumours have been reported Gilmore is spending the bye week in Boston at Tom Brady's house. Must like getting tortured by him off the field too.
  5. Terrible play calling. Every game down by two scores in the 4th this team plays like it's the first quarter. Never any urgency.
  6. Fair catch on that last kick? He had no business being back there. Bad coaching - ST coach should be fired.
  7. He's going to wish he had another day off next Sunday! http://nesn.com/2015/09/tom-brady-just-hanging-out-watching-bills-colts-on-patriots-off-day-photo/
  8. John Clayton needs to do some homework on the Bills before sharing his opinion. I bet he hasn't watched any highlights of Tyrod Taylor and gives his opinion on what he thinks not what he sees. Collects weekly dough for his time on WGR without watching this team.
  9. You lost me at EJ - he's so done and might not even make the roster as a 3rd string QB. Stop drinking the Freshie.
  10. The Seahawks went into camp with a 3-way QB battle in 2012. Interesting few weeks ahead for the Bills QBs. Wondering if Tyrod Taylor can continue to improve accuracy and mirror Wilson's development towards winning the starting role. http://bleacherreport.com/articles/1312867-how-russell-wilson-won-the-seattle-seahawks-starting-qb-job
  11. Interesting perspective on Taylor. http://www.baltimoreravens.com/news/article-1/Eisenberg-Ravens-Can-Win-Games-With-Tyrod-Taylor/03fee6c2-b305-4d94-8c70-409cc8ef8fc9
  12. Our own Statue of Liberty in Western NY. Sweeeeeet.
  13. If Kiko was a bargaining chip then why didn't they package him up as part of a deal for another for another position? They could have backed up the Brinks truck to Demarco Murray or explored a value option with Mark Ingram in free agency and use Kiko as part of another deal. Don't get me wrong, I really like the potential of McCoy in the offence but in a year super deep in RBs and some great FA options, why take on the contract and a player that sounds like he doesn't want to be here.
  14. Soooooo bad! Clearly there's not a line-up of brands and businesses to get a spot. They must bonus the heck out of the buy to fill space.
  15. The one about him owning one houndstooth sport coat was just as bad. !http://boards.buffalobills.com/showthread.php?497337-Horrible-Commericals-on-WGR-550-AM-Worst-Commericals-Ever!!! That company should not worry about Shielding Your Home but rather shield their creative development budget from WGR.
  16. Hey Steve Rott - a giant quilt shaped like North Dakota is NOT cool. So tired of the horrible advertising on WGR.
  17. Wouldn't it make it that much more sweet if we knocked off the SB champs twice next year then eliminated them at home in a playoff game? Ok, so the kool-aid is in hand but the bottom line is Rex, the Bills and fans will be that much more motivated next year if the Pats are the champs vs. SB losers...so much more at stake and our chance to get respect from around the league.
  18. If Sean Payton was suspended for a year, Bill B. should be suspended for at least half the year if this is true.
  19. 20%. That was the cost of the Watkins trade. Look back at every 1st round in the last 10 years and calculate the percentage of players that actually go on to have a decent career....maybe 20%. So the bottom line is that objectively speaking that player we would have picked at 19 would have had a 20% chance of being an impact player. The best part of the trade as what unfolded last week with Marrone and his tribute to Steve Miller's "Take The Money and Run" act.
  20. The Pegulas decision to interview upward towards 10 candidates has recently been mocked by a number of media sources. Under normal circumstances teams would have a shorter list with a couple of favourites in mind and I can see how this approach would be ripped by media. However, the reality of our circumstances is very different here. We have billionaire owners with little no NFL football operations experience. If you think about it, the strategy is quite smart. As a new owner with no NFL management experience, why wouldn't you take advantage of interviewing some of the brightest and experienced minds in the game to gain insight and perspective and when would you have this chance again. Smart move-we'll be in good hands.
  21. Hackett is as good as gone! C ya Pop Warner OC. If Marrone lands another HC job, let's see what he really thinks of Hackett.
  22. I've noticed aside from stories written from information gained from NFL insiders, Matthew Fairburn seems privy to pro-Marrone information or steers his columns in that direction. For example, his recent articles on Spikes happiness in Buffalo and Marrone's courtesy call to Hughes. Fairburn was pretty quick to post on article about the players reluctance to change and support for Marrone. His article on Marrone changing culture and Russ Brandon addressing in speculation. I get theses are all hot topics and all seem very pro-Marrone. Coincidence it's the Syracuse writer taking this position? This guy owe something to Marrone? Marrone (and/or) select FO folks have this guy on speed dial? Heck, this guy even got a interview with Hackett about his opinion on EJ's progress. Hackett has a Marrone shield in front of him. Check it out for yourself and watch out for this guy's kool-aid. http://connect.syracuse.com/staff/mfairburn/posts.html
  23. Sure but be realistic. He'd be traded to NFC before AFC. The rehabilitation program in Foxboro is likely for a 5th.
  24. Smoke and mirrors Gameplan designed to make Hackett look competent.
