What we as fans hope for during the bye:
Players heal up, recharge and come back ready to complete the season
Zero arrests/scandals. That's why after the Chiefs game, Josh said "free week this week, be smart, be safe, team above everything."
I remember sports talk guys laughing out loud at the Bills that Friday after the first round. We all know the national ones, but Moe Egger here in Cincinnati spent a while segment laughing at the Bills because “you can’t fix accuracy.”
I’m just spitballing here, but maybe being a WR on a team thats signature win had 10 more rushing attempts than passing attempts is a less than ideal situation. I mean. Zach Wilson was 10/18 for 110.
He could have been talking and semi-lucid and not remember it later. My son's soccer teammate got a bad concussion and went back into the game and scored the winning goal. He didn't remember anything after the injury the next day and even had to ask if they won. Didn't remember scoring the goal or the bus ride home. But he was lucid enough in the moment to talk his way back into the game, play really well and communicate with team mates.
Could Milano's poor grade have something to do with the fact that he played the majority of the game as a QB spy, thereby not doing what PFF expects a LB to do?
I dug through the stats, and what I found is that Tom Brady's favorite play this year is a Fournette screen pass. He has 36 targets with 32 receptions and a -37 yards before the catch.
Let's cherry pick some positive stats.
Josh Allen leads the league in intended air yards (they're taking more deep shots than any other team)
completed air yards (Josh's passes have traveled more than 200 yards in the air than the QB in 2nd place).
Josh's receivers have also gained the 6th highest amount of Yacs in the league.
Josh is tied with Tom Brady at 12.5% with the lowest pressure rate per drop back.
This also explains the batted balls.
There is no salary cap on coaches and staff and the Pegulas have demonstrated a willingness to pay for the best. For that I am thankful. People forget that Mike Shula and Joe Brady are on the offensive staff. There is no way that both of those guys are not earning more than what a QB coach and a "senior offensive assistant" usually make.
