  1. no biggie, Sammy is doing this to avoid working out with EJ.
  2. Don't bench EJ Manuel for Orton and these are his projected stats for the year. Att: 304 Comp: 524 Yards: 3352 Tds: 20 Ints: 12 with 58% completion. He could have done better or worse, we will never know.
  3. I hate to do this 19 pages in, but those aren't bullets, they're heat seeking missiles. #lovetheEJ
  4. Patriots on Sunday at 1:00 They seem to always start slow and they wouldn't know what to expect out of our offense. I expect our defense to be ready by then.
  5. EJ Manuel, drafted as a project with only 14 career starts. It's still early to pull the plug on said project, even less so when he will have (and his teammates) a creative OC calling the shots.
  6. I hope not, I think we're set for this year.
  7. Doubt they will be that stupid, unless Nassib steps up and challenges him. But even then, would you let go or trade a 2 time SB winner?.
  8. I like EJ but I agree, he's not without objective criticism. In the first game against the Dolphins last year, he drove the team to the red zone twice and then became timid, he should have hit Woods in a slant for a TD, instead he short armed the throw because he was feeling pressure. The second one he was comfortable hitting Fred short of the markers on 3rd down, the play went nowhere, granted the play sucked but he should have felt the need to be more aggressive in that situation. We won the game but it was closer than it should have been. What EJ really needs, IMO, is someone that can give him confidence in his game, and that he needs to take care of certain opportunities or else he would become just another guy playing the position. Regarding the premise of the thread, I read that Cassel can become the next Alex Smith but I don't really see it, what I can see happening is EJ becoming him, therefore winning the starting position.

  10. I quit smoking a couple of years back, can't remember the exact day, month or year and I like that I didn't make a mental note about it. After "sucking them down like coca cola" for at least 18 years I quit and never looked back. I don't crave cigarettes now, I don't feel the urge to light one even when I'm drunk or when I drink a cup of coffee. (they always were mutually exclusive). Can't stand the smell now, though I will never be a snob about it. I wish everyone that ever smoked that they could quit it, it's a habit that it's pure, unadulterated venom.
  11. Sorry Jim, my mistake. Thanks for the thread.
  12. Sure why not, we don't have a starting QB until one steps up. He was an average starter in this league, if he can replicate what he did in Houston we're in the playoffs.
  13. me neither, just wanted to know more about the guy. There are some good videos on this site: www.draftbreakdown.com, if I'm not mistaken is Corey Chavous' site.
  14. Gailey made him rich when he put him at LT at the Senior Bowl. He's not horrible but there's a reason the Seahawks didn't keep him.
  15. Blalock would be great insurance in case Incognito can't quite come back as the player he once was and/or Richardson doesn't make the leap in quality from rookie to second year player. I hope we sign him and draft more interior players for depth.
  16. Yes seriously, I remember how Chad Johnson struggled on the Pats offense because he couldn't run routes and be on timing with Brady. Everyone thought he was a steal by then and he was cut like he was JAG.
  17. I wonder if he will be able to run precise routes for Brady to find him. I don't see his free style route running meshing with that offense and Brady.
  18. if he suddenly learns how to block, it will tell me more about Chandler than our coaching staff or NE's.
  19. his below average blocking skills will be his demise as a Patriot. But it is a good signing for them, he now is what he should have been with us, a third string TE.
  20. Damn, it would have been nice to get him.
  21. uh? the guy is clutch and makes plays, did you not watch him with the Dolphins?
  22. yeah, you should stay off that ****.......
