  1. Agreed, this isn't news. This is the same report that was circulated pre-draft. The possibility of trading Gaither was supposedly used as a way of motivating him to get into camp for workouts. I would love it if we could acquire him and sign him to an extension. This would allow us to develop some depth in our line.
  2. For those of you thinking Vick, IMO it won't be by trade. The eagles signed him to a 2 year deal. The 2nd year pays him $5.2m+ incentives. Why buy something when you can get it for free. I don't see the eagles keeping him around for those $$. I think there's a better chance they release him and we sign him for less $$ but for maybe 3 years. (That's if we have any interest in him at all.) http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=4397938
  3. A pair of Bills pajama bottoms and a Bills T-shirt. Also a nice Canisius hoodie and an authentic Patrick Kane jersey (beaten cabbie not included).
  4. They didn't use any defensive players at all. Maybe for the 100 year anniversary they chose an all defensive team along with a kicker and a Ralph coin. (I'm sure in another 50 years both the Bills and Ralph will still be around>)
  5. Although I'd like to see him here it won't be Gruden. He just signed an extension with ESPN and I believe it's also supposed to expand the number of games he calls. They talked about this on Mike and Mike yesterday.
  6. I share your frustration, but I disagree on some of your points. McElvin is not a gadget player. When he's healthy he's a quality starting CB and a good kick return man. He made a costly turnover that cost us a game, but he's far more valuable than you're giving him credit. Parrish was a 2nd round pick. He's shown the abililty to be a game changing return man, but he's never developed into a top receiver. If we can trade him for a late round pick before the deadline I think it'll be a win/win for both. I don't think TE is shot. How many QB's can overcome 9 false starts. That was absolutely pathetic. That falls directly into the lap of the coaches. I strongly feel that our problem starts with the head coach. I think if we bring in a QUALITY head coach that knows how to prepare a game plan and run an offense we become light years better.
  7. I picked up 5 of the T.O. White 50th anniversary throwbacks and they look awesome!! Everything is stitched and I like the heavier feel as well. I sold 2 to friends and I just sold 1 on ebay. I have 1 left if you're interested, I believe it's a large. I'm not looking to get rich off this, so the price will be reasonable.
  8. I lived in Beaumont at the time and was at this game with my family and friends from Dallas. All of us decked out in our Bills gear. The Oilers fans were taunting us and we were giving it right back. All good natured. What a blast!!
  9. Really??? Work his way back into the rotation?? Unless he loses a limb during his suspension he moves right back in as the starter getting the bulk of the carries.
  10. Uhmmm...yeah, I think your logic may be a little flawed. So you'd rather sit a RB that will be out the first 3 weeks of the regular season (I'm sure he won't be at all rusty from lack of game reps) so that he doesn't get injured (although he'd have a month to heal). You would rather risk giving even more reps to our RB's that we'll be counting on to actually contribute in those first 3 games and leave them open to injury where they might not be able to help us at all??? Sorry, but I think the staff made the right decision to play him the way the did, in limited fashion.
  11. I'm a big fan of Swiston's and it's got a decent view overlooking the canal. I also like Charlie the Butcher's and it's right by Buffalo Int Airport, so you can get your BOW fix just minutes after you touch down.
  12. IMO Levi Jones would be the better option. He's had "health issues" too, but he's younger and has more tread on the tires.
  13. Here's a short article that suggests the Bears have the inside track based on his familiarity with the Chicago coaching staff. It also claims that both teams are looking for him to plug in as the Strong Side LB. It's from the Chicago Sun, so take it for what it's worth. http://blogs.suntimes.com/bears/2009/05/lo...oa_down_to.html
  14. Come on guys. The sky's not falling. We're still 3+ months away from the opener. ...someone in the FO get RW McQuarters and Deltha O'Neals agents on the phone.
  15. If Brad Johnson managed to hang on with the Cowboys as Romo's back up last year, Losman and Grossman will find their way onto an NFL roster before the end of the season. Excluding Favre, these are the top QB's on the market and something will open up for them.
  16. You left out drop back, hold the ball, take a sack.
  17. I would have been happier with Grossman over Fitzpatrick. I just think there's more upside and more experience. Also, Ryan has a funny shaped head. http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/players/7426/c...CvreNSWhKP.uLYF JP's best shot is Canada.
  18. That was 6 minutes I'll never get back. I did like the Golden Retreiver line.
  19. Great analysis on why Taylor is better than Rhodes. I'm shocked you didn't suggest that both Galloway and Greg Lewis were better individual signings than TO.
  20. Ellis is 34, he's making around $5MM and he's had an achilles and a knee problem. For the last several years he's been a "locker room lawyer" complaining about his contract and the amount of money he's making (or not making). That's a lot of negatives, but the guy can rush the passer...
  21. Jawz He made a great point about Trent. That Trent holds the ball until he sees that the WR's open as opposed to reading the D and throwing the ball in anticipation of where the WR will be when he makes his "break", so that the D doesn't have time to react and recover. This also explains why TE checks down so often. I thought this was great and accurate analysis of something that TE can improve on with experience that can take his game to another level. I also think Aikman does a good job analizing games. Tasker seems to be too cognizant of his Buffalo ties and he has a tendency to be overly critical of the Bills.
  22. Ellis isn't worth his $5MM contract. Why trade for a guy that in all likelyhood will be released. The Cowboys are looking to free up $$ to resign Demarcus Ware to a big $$ long term deal. They won't want to take back big $ contracts, so IMO this trade wouldn't work. IMO they'd like Roscoe. He'd add depth to their receiving corp and give them a much needed return man. I don't know that Kelsay would be a fit in their 3-4 scheme.
