  1. Take 2 aspirin and call me in the morning.
  2. Can't pin the turnovers and failure to grab a couple turnovers on coach Marty. That was the difference in the game. Colts can win. Next week a whole new ballgame.
  3. OK, now that you've vented, take another crack at this post.
  4. You're out to lunch. While there are some examples in sports of losers that sell (like the Cubs in Chicago or Washington Redskins), The numbers overwhelming support that winners sell and losers don't regardless of market size. Examples of large market teams that don't sell out over a stretch of losing seasons are the Miami Dolphins, Chicago Bears, LA Rams, New England Patriots (it's been a while since they were losers) Houston Texans and Oilers, Phoenix and St. Louis Cardinals, Baltimore Colts (they moved). I could go on and on and this is also true for Baseball, Basketball and Hockey. You and anyone else that doesn't agree are wrong. I don't have time to gather all of the numbers but they would overwhelmingly support that winners sell and losers don't. I'm close to the ticket industry. I know this to be true. The Bills attendance closely mirrors this premise since they have played in Orchard park.
  5. In New Orleans, the t-shirt shops offer a large selection of vulgar attire. Much of which is proudly displayed in the storefront windows.
  6. It's all about wins and losses. Winners sell.
  7. It's all about wins and losses. Winners sell.
  8. Yup. I think the '91 Redskins were one of the best of all time. Really. 15-1 record in the regular season. Offensive line gave Mark Rypien all day to throw and they ran the heck out of the ball. Defense was equally dominant. Only reason they don't get their just due is because Gibbs left and they fell apart quickly. They were the best of the teams the Bills faced in any playoff year IMO.
  9. How lucky are the Bills to have Lee Evans? After finishing 41st in yards (743) in '05, he stepped in to the #1 receiver slot this year and finished 6th in in the league in yardage with 1292 yards. That's approaching what he and Moulds had for yards combined in '05 (just over 1500). He's a budding star, one of a few on this Bills team. He should be a pro bowl candidate next year if he gets any media attention. All he does is go about his business quietly and let's his play do the talking. You don't hear much about this guy except that he's a real gentleman. We need to see and hear more from Lee next year. Here's a guy worthy of the attention and a great public face for this team.
  10. I'm not impressed by Willis thus far on or off the field but I do believe he has the physical talent to be very good. The heart and the mind I am not too sure about. However, young immature players like Willis often grow up during their NFL careers so maybe the lightbulb can still be illuminated for Willis. If I'm Marv, I'd approach a contract extension as follows. Write a new deal that extends him a few years. Instead of front loading the money, put in a big roster bonus each year. That way he's playing for a contract each year. If the guy gets his head on straight and consistently performs, he stays a Bill and gets paid very well. If not he can be cut or traded without salary cap baggage and he becomes an UFA. The player and agent won't like it, but it's fair to both sides. I remember when Jerome Bettis was run out of St. Louis. His behavior early in his career made him a cancer to that team and their fans. Over time he really became a class act on and off the field. Had a pretty good career in Pittsburgh. Would hate to see Willis run out of town only to right the ship shortly thereafter. I'm not sure he has it in him, but if he's motivated the right way and get's some mentoring he might surprise all of us. If I were him I'd start by getting a new agent. One that coaches his clients better on the "taking the high road".
  11. You heard it here. This will not be a close game. The Chargers will win big. Bad matchup for the Pats. West coast road game and the Chargers are far more physical.
  12. Hard to argue with this. When the owner says publically you're a disappointment, that's a bad sign.
  13. I was at the game sitting right next to the net. Shot hit the post and then hit Miller in the back and bounced just over the line kind of underneath him. It was very tough to see it even on the replay.
  14. Penthouse Nude models are still better than Willis's running. I trading my Bills Digest subscription in for Penthouse this year.
  15. Agree. I really don't think he wants to be in Buffalo. I predict his agent asks for trade along with a holdout if Bills tell him to play out his contract next year or don't make him an offer that Rosenhaus thinks is "star quality".
  16. OK, I'll get my Violin and play something for Willis.
  17. I agree, he's not a thug. Being a parent is a huge responsibility and he's doing it the wrong way asking his kids to grow up in broken families and homes. He's a selfish idiot when it comes to that. His lifestyle however, has to be a big distraction to a successful football career. What's more troubling is that he is likely applying the same poor decision making, immaturity and poor judgement to his football career that he applies off the field. This might explain him not participating in off-season activities and the inconsistent effort he shows from one game to the next, and maybe he does not prepare well for games. Mostly he's hurting himself. He has a poor public image and he has people (women) taking avantage of him. He has a jackass for an agent. He's coming off a so-so year football-wise. He doesn't attend the optional off-season workouts like most of his teamates. He has said publically on TV that he really doesn't care about football. All of these are factors for him in his quest for a new contract. I think the Bills will tell him to play out this year with no new deal and I expect he and his agent will not handle that very well. He does not conduct himself like a bright, talented and determined person with the exception of rebounding from injuries. I think the Bills can do better both on and off the field with a different RB and I would expect '07 to be his last year with the Bills. Guys do grow though, and there is still time for Willis to get his act together.
  18. I think Coughlin fires Killdrive first in an effort to save his own butt.
  19. This explains why he is absent from the off-season activities in Buffalo. Too big a party down in Miami.
  20. In the cases of Smith and McNeil, McGahee has been declared the biological father and is paying support.''He's an honorable person,'' says McGahee's attorney, Howard Rudolph. TRANSLATION: HE'S A GOOD CLIENT THAT KEEPS ME BUSY AND HE PAYS THE BILL. Walls, who went to the University of Florida, met McGahee in Miami during a college break. An ''on again, off again'' relationship, she says. In October '03, she married Devino Walls but was estranged from him when Kai was conceived, she says. Her husband took a paternity test. ``It was negative.'' She is awaiting the result of McGahee's DNA test, ordered by Miami-Dade Circuit Judge Amy Steele Donner. Says Walls: ``I don't sleep around. It was Willis.'' TRANSLATION: I FOOL AROUND ON MY HUSBAND BUT ONLY WITH 1 ATHLETE AT A TIME. She and Devino, 26, have a daughter Jaia, 3. The Walls are in divorce court. He filed. She wants custody of Kai, with shared parental responsibility and visitation. McGahee has a ''significant seven-figure income with extensive financial resources'' and should pay child support, says her petition, filed by attorney Craig Weissberg. TRANSLATION: I KNEW HE WAS RICH AND IF I HAVE HIS BABY I'LL GET A CHECK EVERY MONTH. Says Rudolph: ``If he is the father, he will make appropriate arrangements.'' TRANSLATION: HE'S A GOOD CLIENT THAT KEEPS ME BUSY AND HE PAYS THE BILL. Smith, who has known McGahee since her college days, says their romance was ``off and on.'' TRANSLATION: THE SEX IS GOOD Says Smith: ''Money is not an issue at all. That's why I went to college. That's why I'm in school for my masters.'' What she'd like, she says, is for her son to have a daddy in his life, not just ``every blue moon.'' But, she says, 'you cannot hold a gun to someone's head and say, `come see your son' or 'spend time with your son.' You can't do it, and I'm not going to try.'' TRANSLATION: IT REALLY IS ABOUT THE MONEY AND AS LONG AS HE SENDS THE CHECKS, I WON'T BOTHER CALLING. Rudolph believes McGahee will come through for Willis IV, and for Kai, if the boy is his. ``He'll be the same good father and honorable person that he is to his first child.'' In 2003, McGahee signed a contract worth up to $15.53 million over five years. (Base salary is more than $7 million, plus incentives.) He grossed $923,469 in '05, financial records show. TRANSLATION: HE'S A GOOD CLIENT THAT KEEPS ME BUSY AND HE PAYS THE BILL Says Rudolph: ``He's a football player who is making a nice living. But he is not making the kind of money that people think.'' TRANSLATION: GET A NEW DEAL DONE WILLIS, YOU'LL NEED THE MONEY AND I LIKE YOU AS A CLIENT.
  21. This whole thing is very embarrassing (for him) and sad for the kids who have to grow up in that environment. Willis continues to prove he is an idiot. Actually he's worse than that. Come on Willis, get a friggin clue. He continues to make Travis Henry look good.
  22. Defense wins Championships.
