  1. I agree. How many rookies do we really need on the team next year? More than 8? considering that 1 or 2 Undrafted free agents generally make the team I would rather see them trade up and get more value for the picks.
  2. Met Glenn Parker, Jeff Burris, and Gabe Northern. Parker was pretty cool and didn't mind talking shop. I asked who the tougest DE he ever faced were?... He said Strahan and Trace Armstrong. Also met Tony Siragusa when I was in NJ this year. He partially owns a sports bar there called Tiffany's. Good Ribs.
  3. You probably hope they draft Patrick Willis so your screen name doesn't have to be changed. I would be cool with Marv trading up to get Peterson. I do not watch a ton of college football so my opinions are generally based on a collaberative ruling and what I read about a draft prospect. That being said it sounds like Lynch would not be a bad pick at #12. The general consensus among all the "draft experts" is that he is worth a mid 1st round pick and they all seem to say he is the 2nd best back coming out this year by a large margine. Crowell can replace Fletcher, Youboty can replace Clements, Ellison can fit in at Weak Side LB, but we have nobody to start at RB. I think I will be disappointed if the Bills get out of the 1st 2 rounds without a RB with a legit chance to start.
  4. Any Jersey that I seem to buy turns out to be a 1 or 2yr turnaround until the player is doomed. I currently have McGahee, & Spikes. Some of my past jersey's include... Winfield, Cowart, Bledsoe, & Flutie. The only one I can proudly still wear is #12 Jim Kelly. I was thinking of getting a L. Evans but I think if I do he will get traded.
  5. Maybe he went to the Derek Zoolander school for "Kids who can't read really really good but want to".
  6. The great one two punch of Rhodes and Jordan. Two former back ups who never will live up to starter money no matter how much you pay them. They really need JaMarcus Russell now. I am happy that they signed him so the Bills did not.
  7. Didn't you know? Willis is the best back in the league. Just ask him. For what it is worth (nothing)... I inserted Willis on the Ravens in Madden '07 and added Chris Brown to the Bills to see how we would do. Chris Brown ended up with 20 yards and I replaced him with Shaud Williams in the 4th quarter. McGahee was the MVP of the game. I couldn't hold him back. Losman to Evans was working. They got the ball late in the forth with me down by 3 and ran the ball out on me with McGahee. I had to shut it off before the final whistle.
  8. Rhodes also had the added advantage last year of everyone playing back so Peyton Manning didn't torch him. There is no way he would last in Buffalo and Bills fans would be bitter over how much we would have to pay to get him (me included). He is just benefiting from the worst FA RB crop in recent memory. I just finished watching the "short cut" of 4 games last year. McGahee is really needed on this team and A-Train is nothing more than an OK backup. You could really tell a major difference in the game when McGahee was in.
  9. What name was it under? Obviously Hargrove didn't come to the Bills until 10/2006 in a mid season trade and I doubt you were that big of a Rams fan in January 2006 to have a name like that. Unless you predicted that trade along with the Whitner pick. Then I really want to see who you picked this year.
  10. I wouldn't mind that at all. I know we need to get a few starters to fill holes but this guy can be a solid contributor this year and immediately upgrade who we have at least from a pass catching standpoint.
  11. I don't think many saw the Whitner pick last year. Mike Mayock picked it a day before the draft while everyone on this board argued over Ngata, Bunkley, Vernon Davis, and Winston Justice. With that being said I bet they go for someone that nobody really expects... You can throw out the obvious (Leon Hall, Okoye, P. Willis & anyone else expected to go in the top 10), and stop thinking so much. My first off the wall prediction on who they will take will be Chris Houston the corner from Arkansas. Anbody else want to take a crack at the I told you so pick?
  12. You would think for millions and millions of dollars Big Mike would put down the cheesburgers and work out like he was on "The Biggest Loser" (after all they only win like $500,000. Sad. Maybe Dr. Phil could have helped him.
  13. Wouldn't mind any of those guys (especially Okoye) but I can't over analyze again who we should take, and then get the holy crap look on my face when Levy takes someone who was supposed to go in the late first. A year removed I love the Whitner pick but I was so glad when Ngata was on the board and BAM!
  14. I have seen reports from Adam Schefter showing $49M and also reports on NFL Network showing $29M. I know Steinbach got $49M. Anyone know for sure.
  15. NFL Network is reporting that as Steinbach's deal. They are reporting Dockery as 28 million.
  16. Why woukd the Jag's need him? DOn;t they have Mike Williams!
  17. Forgot to mention... Interesting that he lists Steinbach as more of a finesse player.
  18. Nate is listed #1. Dockery is listed as the #5 FA this year but the 3rd guard. http://www.sportsline.com/nfl/story/10031066
  19. Tie him down and don't let him out of town until he agrees to your demands Marv!
  20. NE loses more talent than they gain each year and still remains competitive. (Makes me hate them even more) They won't sign Thomas once they realize he wants to be paid top LB dollar. Bill will probably say to him "Wouldn't you rather come to a team that has a shot at the superbowl instead of getting paid so much"? It is truly a pretty sad FA year when you even consider Adalieus Thomasand Nate are the top 2 players available. Marv & everyone else in the league are going to realize that there are no sure fire signings that will leap their team to the superbowl and continue to build through the draft and try and sign some moderatly priced guys to try and make an impact. Maybe they will get lucky.
