  1. And the sun shines on Buffalo again... Falcons | Ritzmann an unrestricted free agent Sat, 11 Mar 2006 08:49:21 -0800 The Atlanta Falcons did not tender an offer to DL Constantin Ritzmann and he is now an unrestricted free agent. I thought he was still on our practice squad!
  2. Lewis runs the 40 slower slower than many DT's (at least at the combine). Maybe he's the next Pete!!! Catch the ball and fall down as fast as you can.
  3. And they were dead on about the Robert Royal interest.... Bills | Team interested in McCree Sat, 11 Mar 2006 13:00:43 -0800 Mark Curnutte, of the Cincinnati Enquirer, reports the Buffalo Bills are interested in free agent S Marlon McCree (Panthers), if he does not sign with the San Diego Chargers, according to a spokesman in the office of agent Gary Uberstine.
  4. Royal is a big, athletic tight end who has found his niche in the Redskins' offense. In the last two seasons, he has hauled in five TD catches. Last season, he logged a career-high 18 receptions for 131 yards, with a long of 29. Royal's first two seasons with the Redskins were cut short due to injuries. In 2003, Royal started six games and caught five passes for 48 yards before suffering a right hip injury that ended his season. In his rookie season in 2002, he did not see action in the regular season because of a season-ending ankle injury suffered in preseason. How Acquired: Royal was selected in the fifth round (160th overall) by the Redskins in the 2002 NFL Draft. From Redskins.com. Kinda scary that his best season 18 receptions landed him a 2 mil per year contract. Welcome to the new NFL CBA.
  5. This is what they have to choose from this year as far as unrestricted FA's go... AFC TE's Dinkins, Darnell TE Pittsburgh Schobel, Matt TE Texas Christian Stewart, Tony TE Penn State Shea, Aaron TE Michigan Perry, Ed TE James Madison Rivers, Marcellus TE Oklahoma State Fauria, Christian TE Colorado Baker, Chris TE Michigan State Flemister, Zeron TE Iowa Williams, Randal TE New Hampshire Tuman, Jerame TE Michigan Peelle, Justin TE Oregon NFC TE's Gilmore, John TE Penn State Campbell, Dan TE Texas A&M Hall, Lamont TE Clemson Lewis, Chad TE Brigham Young Williams, Roland TE Syracuse Jones, Terry TE Alabama Moore, Dave TE Pittsburgh Kozlowski, Brian TE Connecticut Royal, Robert TE Louisiana State Vernon Davis is looking real tempting with that #8 pick. There is a better FA crop of DT's this year than TE's!
  6. Per Adam Schefter... Ohio State linebacker A.J. Hawk sped through his private workout in Columbus and is now speeding up the draft chart. Hawk ran 4.38 and 4.46 at his Pro Day in the 40-yard dash. Hawk could be ticketed to San Francisco at No. 6.
  7. Eagles | Team ready to add Bentley Sat, 11 Mar 2006 05:41:25 -0800 Mark Eckel, of the Trenton Times, reports the Philadelphia Eagles have agreed to a deal with free agent OL LeCharles Bentley (Saints). A key member of another team, which also was interested in Bentley, said the Eagles had a deal in place with the center for close to a week, and waited through the several delays to the start of free agency. All the terms of Bentley's deal are not known, but according to the source he will earn a guaranteed $17.5 million over the first three years of the contract. More than half of that money will come in either a signing bonus, a roster bonus or a combination of both. The Eagles are expected to play Bentley at center. Bentley was too good to wish for since it looks like he already had his mind made up although 17.5 MIL over 3 years looks desperate.
  8. Bills | Team speaks to Blank about Givens Sat, 11 Mar 2006 06:16:25 -0800 Michael Felger, of the Boston Herald, reports the Buffalo Bills have spoken with agent Brad Blank about free agent WR David Givens (Patriots), but a visit has yet to be arranged.
  9. One of the best Mag's out there...along with Lindy's Pro Football. I usually find it at a place like Barnes & Noble earlier than most places.
  10. This guy is really good, although he usually updates the Mock the morning of the draft. Had us taking Flowers in 2000. I almost fell off my seat when that happened. He was graded at 4th round talent and at LB. Guess initial impressions were correct on that one.
  11. At least him and Ralph probably get up at 4:30am
  12. Remember Rufus French? They had him going in the top of the first round and he ended up being an undrafted free agent. I also had a draft mag a bunch of years back that had Kwame Cavil listed as the 5th best receiver the year he came out.
  13. from NFL Draft countdown. Take a look at the archives... very interesting....This site is always my favorite mock draft site. Mock Draft Archives from NFL Draft Countdown
  14. Most Mocks have him going to the Packers, niners or Raiders. He ran bad at the combine but he was said to be clocked in the 4.4 range at the Ohio State pro day.
  15. Hawk wont drop to us but if he did it's a no brainer regardless of need. The Texans didn't aren't in dire straits at RB either.
  16. 2 words... Erik Flowers! Looked great at the combine but did his value increase from bottom of the first to the 8th pick overall?
  17. What other TE's are out there? Draft is supposed to be well stocked but to get anyone who can be a starter you would probably need to use a 2nd rounder. I'm hoping Everett gets healthy and comes on.
  18. I'd still like to see them take Ngata. Vernon Davis would be my second favorite pick. No way on Cutler unless we package J.P. for a pick.
  19. Don't worry about Culpepper. Miami is too close to the water and I hear he acts inappropriate on boats
