  1. my guess is we've seen the last of Henry in the NFL
  2. yeah but they didnt get the evaluation of Losman right or Joey Harrington for that matter who they would have taken if the Lions didnt
  3. actually they moved week 1 to the week after labor day weekend before they started having games on Thursday nights because they thought they were losing viewers and attendance at the games due to the holiday weekend
  4. the rumors are already starting that Omon is going to holdout next year
  5. Seattle is gonna suck this year making it a perfect ending for an overrated head coach
  6. there have been QBs that have won the Heisman that didnt come close to making it in the NFL...Gino Torretta for example although he shouldnt have won it to begin with when a college QB wins the Heisman its almost a guarantee he wont make it in the NFL...only ones in recent memory I can think of that had any type of a career are Testeverde and Ty Detmer and Ty was basically a career backup although he did start at different points in his career Andre Ware won the Heisman playing in a Run and Shoot offense and got drafted by a team that ran a Run and Shoot offense and he still didnt make it in the NFL
  7. his work ethic was questioned while he was in college so no one should have been surprised when it was questioned in the NFL Texas pedigree? I dont have a list so dont ask but there were a couple Texas O-lineman that came out before Williams that underachived in the NFL ( L.Davis being one ), say what you want about trends and every player being different but there are times when players at particular schools playing certain positions that look better then they actually are....every year there seems to be a tall athletic WR at Michigan that excels in the Big Ten but ends up not doing a thing in the NFL....yes there are exceptions like Braylon Edwards and Amani Toomer but most look like cant miss players at college but are never heard from in the NFL
  8. one thing that video is missing is the two first round picks they traded to move up to get Dwayne Robertson ( think thats his name ) now he had bust written all over him from the start
  9. drafting Antowain Smith was wrong in every kind of way, he was an older college player playing a position with a shelf life of 5 years in the NFL...granted he was able to hang around but certainly never performed like a first round RB which is funny because Dillon played like a first round RB but dropped to the 3rd round because of off the field issues
  10. people were also saying he was a salary cap genius which i never understood because all he did was cut a bunch of players...I was surprised how long it took Bills fans to come around and realize TD was severely overrated I wanted McKinnie from day one. First of all you dont take a RT in the top 5 that you dont plan on moving to LT ( and they didnt ) and was probably better suited for Guard and you definately dont take a RT over a LT who was obviously the better player i dont remember that much fanfair for Williams when he was drafted but I could be wrong...maybe its been so long that I blocked it out
  11. Williams isnt the best example considering 99% of Bills fans didnt want him preseason stats are even less meaningless then preseason wins and losses
  12. how is that acting like he's safe? maybe the guy just wanted to spend a night at a place he's never been and get away to take his mind off the possibility of not having a job
  13. its preseason and your talking about stats, comical Marcus Mason led the league in rushing during the preseason and was just cut by the skins
  14. so were you, its actually spelled McKinnie
  15. if by credible you mean the statement Sirius NFL radio did an entire afternoon on the topic and that there was a disagreement with team doctors and Merriman, thats how credible it is. Team doctors declared him fit to play, Merriman wanted a second opinion and its been a circus ever since
  16. poor mans urlacher, are you frickin kiddin me
  17. better question is, does he mean Moratorium?
  18. he has one more year on his contract after this season, it has been widely reported the charger team doctors have said from the begining that they think he could play on the knee
  19. with the exception of NFL Radio on Sirius I havent listened to sports radio in about 10 years....their job is to get you to call in and what better way to do that then to piss everyone off...its pathetic
  20. a lot of people in Philly including myself would disagree with you about Buddy Ryan...I'm not saying he was a great head coach but the Eagles were terrible when he took over and he built a pretty good team that just couldnt win in the playoffs but at least he got them there and built one of the best defenses the league has ever seen Buddy's biggest mistake in Philly was never getting a real offensive co-ordinator to work with Cunningham who desperately needed one
  21. not really, Dallas runs a lot of two tight end sets especially in the redzone I doubt they spent a second round pick on a guy that just plan on trading in the future. Dallas passes like crazy and needed another TE because they traded their backup to Miami so why not go out and get another playmaker for their offense
  22. why do people insist on making this more then it is...they already gave Peters a new deal that still has 3 years left on it and the team has stated over and over that they wont negotiate with a player that is holding out its that simple and the absolute right thing to do
  23. why dont you read the post again, the topic quoted was about the fact that they thought he was a genius not his actual tenure there...the lovefest ended after his first season 2004-2007 is 4 seasons not one? thanks for clearing that up genius
  24. do you really not understand the difference between a player coming from another team that has been practicing all training camp vs a player that has been sitting home since the end of last season?
