  1. Zay Flowers IS that dude. That's who I want as well. Imo, it would be like having two of Diggs for Allen to throw to. That's who the kid reminds me of.
  2. Given up on him? No, I haven't given up on him per say. He still didn't take that step forward we were all hoping for after that big Playoff performance against KC. He still had an inexcusable number of drops in key situations. If we don't pick up any WR's in FA I would love to see us grab Zay Flowers, or Josh Downs, or Jalin Hyatt, or Jaxon Smith-Injigba in Rounds 1 or 2. Then, I would love to see us circle back and take Cedric Tillman or Xavier Hutchinson in Rounds 3 or 4.
  3. https://www.nbcsportsedge.com/football/nfl/player/60126/gabe-davis Hopefully this is just GM speak and he has his eyes on other options. We actually still need at least 2 more WR's regardless of what he thinks of Davis.
  4. Does anyone else see this as the same type of move McCarthy made in Dallas? McCarthy helps to push out Kellen Moore so he could call the plays. McDermott and Frazier come to the agreement of Frazier "stepping away for a year" so he can call the defense.
  5. Son of a biscuit, I missed that one. Thanks
  6. Don't be surprised if we give Steve Wilks a call. Edit: Pay me no mind. NewEra informed me Wilks is in SF now.
  7. As many have already said, Frazier won't be returning here if he returns. The defense has completely failed us on the biggest stages the last 3 years. Yes, they look decent in the regular season, but the Playoff gaffes have brought us to this point. Hopefully this means we are going to be heading towards more of a Jim Johnson style of defense. If so, that explains a bit about what we are going to be looking to do defensively with our offseason moves.
  8. When you are up against it cap wise, your OL ranked 23rd in the NFL, Davis doesn't take the step forward most hoped, and your Franchise QB is running for his life on a vast majority of his drop backs? Yeah, I think you set a limit on what you are willing to commit to the position. He's not worth the $20M+ cap hit of the Franchise Tag or north of $100M with $60M or more gtd. He's just not.
  9. This division is likely the toughest in the AFC again next year. The only thing separating all of them is the QB play. We have the best in the division, and one of the 3 best in the NFL overall. We'll be right there every year Allen is taking the snaps from Center. We still need to focus our offseason on fixing the OL and getting Josh another couple of weapons. If they hit on that, then everything should be good to go.
  10. I understand this as well, which is why I mentioned the market and the position difference in all of it. I still think Milano is the better LB of the two though. I think Beane and Co. has a number already on the table, and that is why Edmunds is saying he's going to test the market. I'd rather spend that $$$ elsewhere along the OL, draft a replacement, and tender Dodson. Let a rookie, Dodson, and Spector battle it out in TC/Preseason.
  11. Maybe, maybe not. I think it's hard to justify him making much more than Milano when Milano is the better overall LB of the two. I understand the market and the "importance of the position", but if you watch the tape it does tell the story. Just like with other guys in previous years, I think Beane and company have already settled on a number. If the player wants to test the waters elsewhere? Fine. The offer will be on the table until they sign with another team or circle back.
  12. Didn't you know all of this is Josh's fault? The regression is real
  13. It's possible he could attempt to come back at some point, but he'll be 31 in September. I think he may actually be done.
  14. They'll cut him for cap purposes at some point, probably post June 1 to spread out the hit.
  15. Apparently his body has broken down from all the injuries. He also makes mention of using pills or injections, saying they contributed to his current state. Almost wonder if a liability lawsuit of some kind may follow. https://profootballtalk.nbcsports.com/2023/02/25/byron-jones-seems-to-indicate-hes-done-playing-football/
  16. Can't blame Po really. No state tax, warm and sunny throughout most of the season, just a nicer area to post up overall (some parts of it anyway, at least where him and his family could afford to be). Whether it be here or elsewhere, I wish him and his family the best. He left everything he had on the field out there for us since he arrived.
  17. I think Wright will be around in the middle-late 2nd Round, unless he smashes the Combine. My favorite RT prospect in the draft. Still, Beane's comments about Brown lead me to believe there will only be a depth signing or a later round draft pick.
  18. There has to be a balance. You don't reach for a late 2nd Round prospect in the 1st. But if your board has a RB a couple of spots higher than a G prospect also available, when you have a clear need at G, and you take the RB? That's just blatant stupidity. You take the BPA at the position of need, if it is within reason.
  19. We all know about the 13 seconds. Definitely one of the biggest gaffes in post season history. Go back and look at those Eagles teams though and where they ranked on both sides of the ball. They had all kinds of talent. Sure, he had McNabb. But a heck of a lot worse QB's than him have hoisted a Lombardi. If they TRULY fix the roster, the OL and get another weapon or two, then we should be on that stage. This situation is as much Beane's fault as it is the coaching staff.
  20. I'm not saying McDermott is the coach we need long term, but look at Andy Reid in Philly. He won 6 division titles, 10 Playoff games overall, made 5 NFCC games, lost 3 NFCC games in a row, won the 4th of those NFCC games, and lost to the Pats in his only SB appearance. He then goes to KC, has a very talented group from FO to players, now has two Lombardi's, and is considered one of the greatest coaches of all time. The pressure is squarely on the FO and coaching staff to get this right though. Everyone on the outside looking in says the exact same things. Sports media, fans, everyone sees the Bills need OL help and more weapons for Josh. No QB in the NFL has achieved more with less.
  21. I understand that he is trying to maximize himself due to his past accomplishments, as well as the importance of the position he plays, and the fact he totes the rock more than any other QB. Still, this is 13 on the Wonderlic type stuff. The Browns were stupid. There are 31 other franchises that are not the Browns, and therefore carry themselves accordingly. BUT, I wouldn't be surprised if the Jets would do something irrational if given the opportunity.
  22. I have no room to talk about anyone's hair
  23. I was looking for a post like this before I made one of my own
  24. Yes, if he fails in Washington as a stand alone coordinator then the sports media will make excuses as to why. It's what they do. Not sure about the coordinator hiring situation you mentioned because I have never kept track. If I were Arizona, and had my choice, I would have hired one of the two Cincy coordinators. That's on them. I wouldn't have made that hire.
  25. I'm already expecting Edmunds to be gone at this point. I think Beane and Co. came up with a number they were comfortable with and Edmunds is searching for more elsewhere. He'll be donning a different jersey next season and we'll have someone new manning the middle in this defense.
