  1. There are also rumblings in Chicago about the Bears going after Harbaugh. I don't see how the Bears or the Colts could persuade him to leave a $9MM/yr job at his alma mater though, and I don't think Michigan will fire him in the near term even if he continues to take losses to his rivals.
  2. I just hope the offense doesn't revert to designed QB runs all day. Let'r rip and see what happens.
  3. Whatever the bucks have, it will be brought. Meanwhile, good to see The Best Damn Band In The Land drop a script Ohio at New Era Field today. Go Bucks!
  4. Agreed. Most fans have been begging for more throws to the TE since... Ricky Dudley? As the competition gets tougher and the WRs don't have as much space as they have been getting for the past several games, I hope Wilson continues to go to the TE to loosen things up rather than recoil into the mode of "JT to the right, JT to the left, JT up the middle." I'm also happy with the way the WRs are coming into their own. Victor, Dixon and Mack look good out there. McLaurin finally made a signature play on a nice deep ball. But how about sneaky KJ Hill? There were two plays against Nebraska where he sat in traffic while the defense got cleared out, and then he popped up in space and JT hit him in stride. That showed a knack for timing his routes with the rest of the offense and some chemistry with JT. I sure hope to see that trend continue. I think the games since the Oklahoma debacle have gone about as well as we had hoped they would. The entire offense--not just JT--looks to have made big strides. The bye week comes at a good time for the many guys dinged up. I am super fired up for the stretch run. "Championship November" begins in October this year!
  5. I just heard that he pulled a no-show for his weekly radio show with no advance notice. The Detriot press is complaining that the guy is a $9M/yr QB guru, with a $1M/yr offensive coordinator, as well as a $1M/yr QB specialist, yet he can't get the offense moving or take the heat following a tough loss.
  6. It says volumes about Nick that the OSU press is openly wondering if he is even better than Joey. Glad to see the rotation at DL tighten up as the season moves on and certain players distinguish themselves. We're seeing it at WR, too. I'm worried about the situation at guard; maybe not so much for this week, but certainly for Penn St. the following week and the tough games ahead. The last thing JT needs is deteriorating protection as he and the receivers improve. Also, the need for inside protection will likely keep Weber on the field to pick up blocking assignments in situations when they might prefer to have Dobbins out there at RB. Regardless, Ohio State is revving the engine. Beat Nebraska and then let's see what a difference six weeks can make for this team.
  7. Bring in Stevie Johnson... for his Wall of Fame ceremony!
  8. I like Stevie as much as anyone, but the Bills needed to part ways with him after the killer drops in crucial moments. There can't be a culture change with that kind of tendency.
  9. I'm not buying that Michigan takes losing in stride. Michigan was so content with Lloyd and his losses that they showed him the door. Bo and many other old school B1G people long believed in the following team goals, in the following order: Beat your rival Win the conference Win the Rose Bowl I love that line of thinking, but the CFB world has changed a lot since the BCS era started. Michigan knows that as well as anyone.
  10. That's unfortunate. Urban's explanation that Jones "cut himself on a locker" seemed fishy - although perhaps it was just incomplete if Jones was cut after being thrown into a locker.
  11. Yolo, what's the word in Cbus about Erick Smith? He made a couple of great plays earlier in the year and now he's not even on the depth chart. Great to see Fuller elevate his game, but there must be more to this story -- Smith appears to be in the doghouse.
  12. Me: Don't get carried away. Also me: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I8yr_StC3uw
  13. O'Korn came in and played with a lot of emotion behind an underperforming OL. We'll see if he can build on that and get better protection in the coming weeks. I'm pretty sure the DLs at OSU, MSU, and PSU are chomping at the bit to get after him or anyone else back there based on TTUN's play so far this season.
  14. Darnold may be regressing, but it's worth pointing out that USC has been absolutely ravaged by injuries that go beyond the OL. Here is a list of starters that were injured on Friday night, according to Twitter user @ShotgunSpr: LT RG RT WR WR TE CB OLB DT
  15. Agree. There was a series when Shady came out with a wrist, then Tolbert was banged up and came out after the next play, and I quickly became uncomfortable. They ought to be able to find someone to come in for a look. What's Trent Richardson up to?
  16. On the fumble for a TD, I was surprised at how sure the TV announcers were that the call would be reversed. The ball was plainly moving around in Ryan's hand before he started a forward motion - how can anyone call that possession? Edit: if the Bills are now somehow getting calls to square up for past mistakes, then we should get several years worth of calls going forward.
  17. No thanks. Today's road win over means I'm taking a firehose shot of kool aid straight to the face. It is on like a mofo. See you guys on the other side.
  18. I was looking at PSU's schedule earlier today. They have TTUN, OSU, and MSU all in a row. If they can get through that gauntlet they deserve to repeat.
  19. Just keeeeep onnnn griiiinnnnndding...
  20. After the kickoff return and penalties down the stretch, I had a very uncomfortable here we go again moment. What a great feeling to see them finish the game in the victory formation after all that. Go Bills!
  21. Shortcuts are on the Sunday Ticket app, too.
  22. All I know is that if the Bills somehow win on the road this week I'll be in full "It's On Like A Mofo!!" mode no matter how many passing yards Taylor puts up.
  23. Merely adding his name to the Wall wouldn't capture his contribution to the team. I'd suggest instead converting this image to a statue outside the stadium.
  24. She had a Twitter burn coming after outing several other athletes who slid into her DMs. Mayfield is a hero to all those guys.
