  1. Who gives a (*&^@! about Twitter.. however, your avatar is awesome!
  2. I'm always stupidly excited.
  3. I always enjoy some good sarcasm, and I don't disagree, BUT... you'll never strike gold without panning for it. This guy might be fodder or he might be a HUGE piece to this team. No better way to find out than trying him out. I mean 6' 7" 275lbs?? DAMN!
  4. I had two paragraphs typed in here discussing Rolles comments, but then I figured he is just an uneducated man in all of this. He has no idea of what he speaks, and his emotions got the better of him much like our Stevie J. I hope someone from within the Giants organization grabs this guy and gives him some mentorship. What a Richard....
  5. Lol... C'mon now. How many catches did Stevie J have before this year? How much impact did he have? In order to make something happen you need to get the opportunities. Who knows how good he is or will be, but without a shot we'll never know.
  6. Tomlin's remark is more idiotic than Stevie's Tweet. It's good to have your players back, but c'mon man get real. As others have pointed out here, you have to also think about the players and their families that might not ever earn another dime in the NFL.
  7. Great points all. As usual the members of TBD are way more informed than the national media!
  8. I saw Adam Caplans NEW Power Rankings after week 12. The Bills actually dropped a spot after "losing" to the Steelers. I find that kind of a slap in the face even though I don't really care about the power rankings. Meanwhile the Fish moved up 5 spots after beating the Raiders... to me there is no way there could be that kind of disparity, but I think he really just looks at the teams' overall record. I sent Caplan an email asking him to explain how his rankings were made, and that I was growing tired of reporters that don't really do much analysis... hell my 9 year old could do just as good a job at doing the actual Power Ranking, and he would be more accurate because he'd at least be able to back up what he says because he actually watches the games... Anywho... here's the link. http://msn.foxsports.com/nfl/powerRankings
  9. A few things on this post... I met Andre while working at a pizzeria in Buffalo at about midnight on a Friday... He was feling no pain, but was very generous in signing some autographs for the peple working there. Just my run in with him, so I can't speak for how he was all the time. Tasker... what a little athlete! I was at some kind of charity event Kelly hosted at UB's Stadium in 1992 or so. They were having a softball game there with a bunch of celebs and sports figures. Bruce Smith couldn't hit the ball out of the infiled, but Tasker was CRUSHING bombs into the temp seats they set up in the centerfield area about 350' away... way impressive! Lastly, I am still a military guy... 22 years in the AF, and have had the pleasure of seeing/meeting some sports figures and celebs when they come visit us on our deployments, but have never been lucky enough to see any of the Bills players! Well, I know the Servicemen/women there will truly be honored to have those guys come over for a visit, and I know the celebs going over will not come back the same... they usually come back a bit humbled and blessed from the whole experience which is great for them. Cheers!
  10. Hmmm... this would be interesting.
  11. Tasker also was the MVP of one of his Pro Bowls and "redefined" how this position was played. Teams game planned for handling the 5' 9" Tasker.
  12. He'll be over it by Christmas...
  13. I got this off of the Vikings forums (stopped by for some friendly banter, but it's pretty slow there!) It's a pretty cool indicator of the "any given Sunday" theory.
  14. Quality with those first 5 picks/positions would be amazing, but I'd also like to see Buddy bring in some FA's that can step right in while letting the Rooks grow into their positions.
  15. Pass blocking and run blocking are ENTIRELY different. This team still needs O-line help. Dont' be fooled by the play of Fitz and the steady improvement in pass blocking. The game is still dictated by being able to run when you need to, and right now we dont have the O-line to just walk up to the line of scrimmage and tell the D, "we're running right here", and actually being able to do it.
  16. Ha ha ha... that's RIDICULOUS! It makes it sound like you've never played competitive ball before...
  17. I too have been pleasantly suprised at the decent words about the Bills. Anyone who watches the games can see our supposed "limited" talent, but that we play hard every down until the end of the game. There's something to be said and respected about that and most main stream media types have seen and commented on the fact.
  18. Well... why not? I've heard of every other reason we have been screwed since the merger.
  19. Just like the Pats fans, they think it's their birthright...
  20. +1 And I'm really hoping we get both the Pats and the Jets when they both have something to play for. I don't want to play a team that already has a playoff spot and is resting their starters. We need to see our team for what they are for the whole year. That's the ONLY way we get better.
  21. Per any and every NFL game, the refs make disputable calls. Both sides have to work to overcome them, and we're just not there yet. I agree on the Fitz spot, and that missed block in the back. I dont remember the specifics on the Byrd "steal", but I do remember thinking "why'd the whistle blow"? I also questioned the spot on Palalalalamamamlu's INT. Should been down at the 1 or so.
  22. Depending on the offseason, you're not far off on this statement. Let's see how the final two games go. To me, those are the last parts of the litmus test for this team.
  23. Ya know what...? With this team, I can see them all showing him some love. He has been a tremendous team first guy and he's still demonstrating that. They'll show him the love and support he needs. We all learn something everyday, and yesterday was a HUGE lesson for Stevie J!
  24. Alright... we lost a game we should have won. We had a young up and coming kid make a silly post game vent. Big flipping deal. As Bills fans we should all have thick (and I mean THICK skin), as does the man upstairs (you think he/she CARES about a "Tweet"?, lol get over yourselves. It's over, next up Brett and his merry men. I'm looking ahead to next week, where the story should be watching Stevie rebound, watching Freddie even more involved in the pasing game and O in general. Looking to see how the D-line can pressure Favre, and of course to see if AP will play... (I personally hope he does). I was impressed by the O-line yesterday, and again the coaching staff made nice adjustments at the half. Will Lee be part of the gameplan, will Spiller play... will McFumbles learn to hang on to the damn ball? There are a LOT of intriguing stories on this "better than 2-9 team". I find most of the issues above a better story than Stevie J's Tweet. Hell... I'm happy to be THINKING about next week's game on a Monday instead of the Saturday before (as has been the case the past 6 years or so). Football is exciting in Buffalo again, let's keep things in perspective peeps. Hey Stevie... you dropped a pass... now bounce back and catch 40 more this year, no biggie kid "why so serious"? Sheize! I mispelled Sunday! Lol
