  1. Piggybacking on Brad's point, does anyone know with certainty the date on which Peters must report to get credit for the year? I remember it being something like "you have to play in week 10 and beyond" to get credit for the season.
  2. Agree 100%. If you don't like Schopp, Simon, Coach, whoever... just turn off the radio, people! It isn't that hard. You DO have that choice, you know. Side note - am I the only one who feels like Dennis Williams is completely lost without a teleprompter? His show has to be the most boring, useless three hours in the history of radio. The guy just doesn't provide ANYTHING the bum who picks empty pop cans out of my trash couldn't provide.
  3. How do YOU know how long Crowell will be out for? Before he was put on IR, he headed in for a simple scope that would have him out for a month or so. After that scope, he was put on IR. Was there more damage than all involved thought? Did Crowell choose to have actual SURGERY as opposed to a routine scope/clean up? Let's wait until all the facts come out before making more ridiculous assumptions, shall we?
  4. Incorrect. In TODAY'S Buffalo News, an article on Evans spoke about how both sides are hoping to get a deal done sooner rather than later. Evans HIMSELF said just last week he was optimistic a deal would get done soon. This has obviously been a prolonged negotiation, but to say things aren't progressing is simply wrong... especially when you, or anyone else here for that matter, have absolutely no clue as to what's going on behind closed doors. Man, the rampant speculation really brings down the quality of TSW these days...
  5. Is Kilgore a commentator/columnist or a reporter? Its his OPINION the Bills should/will look to move Peters. This has no basis in fact. Pretty irresponsible for a news reporter...
  6. I'm with the Bills on the "show up and we'll pay you" stance they've taken with Peters. But if they fail to reach an accord with Evans, the Bills will start to lose supporters like myself. This deal is much more reasonable than the ridiculous Berrian deal, and should help the two sides come together much quicker. I'm confident it will get done, as Lee himself has sounded very optimistic something is in the works in the near future. But a message to the Bills... you're on notice. Don't piss us off.
  7. Losing Crowell is going to contribute directly to two losses the team otherwise wouldn't have?!? Using your logic, if Ko, Posluszny, Denney, etc. had been healthy all of last year we would have racked up 10... 11?... wins. HAHAHAHAHHA... laughable!!! Unless you're using an average linebacker's departure as a forum to vent some frustration over the Peters situation? Wow, we've really gone off the deep end as a fan base. Embarassing...
  8. What a waste of a thread. This front office is "killing" the franchise's chances of landing free agents? Really? Please explain Dockery, Walker, Mitchell, etc.
  9. Also, let's not get the timelines screwed up here. When he went in to get scoped, it was reported he would have to miss three or four games, whatever it was. That's the STANDARD time off for a scope (just like Willis this off-season). As in, "you're getting scoped? Oh, ok, see you in a month or so." That was BEFORE the scope. It was AFTER the scope that they put him on IR. Perhaps they found something worse than expected. Perhaps a "scope" turned into a "surgery." Before we have all the FACTS, let's not make RIDICULOUS assumptions about the Bills being vindictive or Angelo trying to stick it to the team... maybe his knee is TRULY messed up. Maybe he's out 10-12 weeks. We don't know. Any speculation to the contrary is a waste of everyone's time and completely irresponsible. Of course, I'd expect nothing less from some of the more useless posters around here.
  10. As plenty of other people have pointed out, POSLUSZNY HIMSELF stated that he could NOT have played at the end of the year... he was just so anxious to get back, he overstated his health.
  11. Plus, Posluszny has an ankle injury. Although both he and Jauron are optimistic he'll start Sunday.

  13. I actually agree with that, too. Promo and others, don't get me wrong. I can't stand the obvious bias the GR afternoon team obviously has against the Bills in favor of the Sabres (and now maybe the BULLS in favor of the Bills?), and yell at my radio more often than not when they're making their ridiculous points about how the NFL is falling apart, the Bills are a joke, etc... ... I just happen to agree with them on the wasted night that was the fourth pre-season game. To me, its symptomatic of a larger problem with the coaching staff. That's all.
  14. Well then you guys just aren't listening to what they're saying. They aren't arguing for starters playing at all, and neither am I. Rather, they are arguing that for a team that was bad last year, and for a coach who yaps on and on about how these games are important for players to audition for roster spots not only on the Bills but other teams around the league, they could actually use these games to, you know... improve the team? Treat it like a game. See what you really have depth-wise. Coach like you have a clue. See if your backups can actually run a two-minute offense. Give fans at least a BIT of their money's worth. If you can't grasp the nuance, I don't know what to tell you.
  15. I actually agree 100% with every point they're making today regarding the rip-off that was the final pre-season game. My guess is many fans do, as well. If you don't like it, just turn it off.
  16. ESPN's Matt Mosley and their army of NFL bloggers ranked NFL fans. Buffalo came in at 11. 1. Steelers 2. Packers 3. Browns 4. Eagles 5. Chiefs 6. Skins 7. Broncos 8. Pats 9. Raiders 10. Giants 11. Bills Note, however, the Bills received a "score" of 16, as did the three teams in front of them. So essentially a tie for 8th, but separated by some random ESPN "tiebreaker." My only gripe? ESPN had a "Loyal" category defined as: Loyalty when team sucks (Loyal): You score points with us if you stick with a loser. Buffalo scored a "3" on a scale of 1 (best) to 5 (worst). Considering seasons ticket sales in recent years, I'd score us at LEAST a 2 if not a 1... which could have moved us up to 6th. http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/preview08/co...tory?id=3530077
  17. Let's not treat Peters like the second coming of Anthony Munoz. The line is obviously better with him, but it isn't like the Bills are losing a road grader that would open up gaping holes for Lynch and the other backs. Run blocking/the running game was mediocre last year. It looks no different to this point during the pre-season. There is NO REASON for anyone to expect the running game to suffer this season with or without Peters. It wasn't that strong to begin with. Good running back, average running game.
  18. Berman became a caricature of himself ten years ago... where've you been? The guy has fun, he loves football, he's a Bills backer, whatever. The fact remains, he's a TERRIBLE sportscaster and has been since the mid-to-late 90's when he became more concerned with stupid nicknames, sound effects and being Chris Berman than he did about his craft.
  19. I've got a radio on softly in my office, but have been in and out for a couple hours now. Jimbo seems to have been on for quite some time now. For all the times he's flapped his gums about putting together buyers to keep the team in town, have Schopp and/or Bulldog asked him about it? Or has this been all Hunter's Hope, all the time?
  20. Paul Hamilton just called into WGR and said Trent just took the field for practice. He isn't fully participating and has a bit of a limp, but Hamilton said it doesn't look serious, probably just a nasty charlie horse. Also said Schouman is out there walking around.
  21. This is stupid. Didn't we cover this useless conversation during free agency?
  22. Evans was just on WGR. Now, take what he said with a grain of salt - he's not going to tip his hand with regards to negotiations - but a quick summary: - Stated both sides have some ground to make-up. - That said, he is very optimistic something gets done, and gets done soon. - Isn't interested in this dragging into the season and becoming a distraction. The impression he gave was a positive one. Sounds like there may be some space between the two sides, but he's obviously optimistic something is going to be completed and in the (near?) future. I'm sure the Bills have made it clear to him they want him here long term, and that's coming through in the way he's discussing the negotiations.
