I used to like his writing, but now I'm really enjoying watching The Sports Guy piss and moan about how the P*ts season is over: Getting final word on the Brady injury felt like being an actor on a cop show and identifying a murder victim at the morgue: Yep, that's it. That's the 2008 Pats season. You can pull the sheet back over it. Thanks. But this was what he wrote about the effect of the injury on Moss: Q: I am giving this Cassel dude four weeks. If he doesn't get better, I'm gonna jog through my routes and stop going over the middle. Cool? -- R. Moss, Foxboro, Mass. SG: Just kidding. I wrote that one. But that has been the underrated part of Brady's injury -- the Pats didn't just lose Brady, they might lose Randy Moss, too. His track record of quitting on bad quarterbacks is both extensive and frightening. I don't even want to talk about this. LINK

Finally, a voice of reason.

Link?

I like Will Smith and most of his work, but this just ain't right. Captain American is white, and if they can't find a suitable white actor to fill the role, then they shouldn't make the movie. Just my uninvited two cents.

So much for the new "code of conduct"...

I don't agree with or like most of your post, but anyone who can seamlessly work the term "swamp-ass" into a Bills discussion is OK by me. -
They're already working on his bust. Unless he shows up to the next P*ts game with a machine gun and starts wiping out fans, players and coaches, he's in.

So much for the new "code of conduct"...

So apparently the mentality of "I paid for my $70 ticket so that means I can act like a d!ck and the people around me can fugg off, CUZ I'M WATCHING THE BILLS! WOOOOO!" is alive and well. -
True. The season is still young for McCargo, and hopefully a veteran player like Stroud or Mitchell has a heart-to-heart with him and helps him get his head on straight. Then again, if the whispers about his work ethic and drive are true, then it won't matter who is lining up next to him.

The Jets are not that good.... nor the Browns...
Bmwolf21 replied to NavyBillsFan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Browns offense looked as bad as the defense. Anderson had a stretch of almost an entire quarter without a completion - 8 or 9 straight incompletions, IIRC - and Edwards was a non-factor. Their offense will get better when they get Jurevicious, Cribbs and Stallworth back, and the slow defense is going to have to have a way to get to the QB or find a way to cover some receivers with their young, inexperienced secondary. Romo enjoyed his time in the pocket and found guys like Witten, Owens and Crayton wide-open all day. If the Browns want to contend they'll have to put up 30-35 points and hope to outscore everyone, because outside of Rogers and Wimbley on defense there's no one that scares anyone. -
Royal was pretty good today, and I am usually one of his biggest critics. I have to give him credit. I really didn't know what to expect of Chambers, but I was pleasantly surprised with how the line held up and how he played today.

The only difference I see is that I think they were hoping that Stroud would be a veteran presence to work with McCargo and Williams, taking the pressure off the youngsters while helping with their development. I think they wanted McCargo to see what a dominating DT looks like, how he trains, prepares, etc., and that McCargo would start doing that himself and the Bills would have two very good DT's lining up next to one another.

True. And so far McCargo has disappointed with his response.

I think that's mostly true. I don't think he was in real danger of being cut unless he really stunk up the field this preseason, but drafting McKelvin and Corner and signing James was definitely a wakeup call. I think the signing of James in particular was a win-win way of seeing how Ashton would respond to competition. If he accepted the challenge and rose to occasion, great - nothing lost but James' salary for a couple months. If he looked like he was still stuck in neutral they could trade or release him and keep James as the nickel back until McKelvin or Corner were ready to contribute full-time.

[closed]The Tom Brady Injury Celebration
Bmwolf21 replied to Max Fischer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah, poor Tom....all that grueling rehab ahead, and all he has to go home to is Gisele Bundchen. I feel so bad for him... -
I'm confused. The URL in that pic says "Jesus Christ" but that is clearly not a picture of Bruschi, AKA the Holy One.

The Browns' apparent refusal to send more than three-four guys on passing downs completely stunned me. Their supposedly improved run defense looked the same as last year, and the very young defensive secondary was exposed yet again. Jax gave up 7 sacks to Tenn today and Garrard was rushed quite a bit.
-
Of course it does. Now the media will tell us how this opens the door for the Jests and Golden Brett to win the AFC East...

He's obviously been working on his Chroise.

Maybe my tone could have been interpreted as being sarcastic, but that wasn't my intention. I was simply trying to clarify the situation, because I have had this discussion with other people who haven't seen the highlights and didn't really know what happened. But thankfully the thread police decided to jump in and start slinging insults.

According to CBS Sportsline's Gamecenter he did lead the team with 7 solo and 1 assisted stop. I thought he was pretty solid, was flying around the ball most of the game, and seems to be gaining confidence every week. It's still early but it looks like the Bills' patience with him is starting to pay off.
