  1. Apparently, a recall seems inevitable now... http://www.zdnet.com/blog/apple/consumer-r...inevitable/7554 So goes some of the shine of the Apple....
  2. Not at all...the German players have already come out and said they don't care about the outcome. I'm a huge World Cup fan, and I'd still have to look up who won the 3rd place match at the last event. I think the 3rd place game matters for countries who surprised their way to the semis. I'm sure Uruguay cares. http://g.ca.sports.yahoo.com/soccer/world-...?urn=sow,254785
  3. Must be using Mozilla... OPEN SOURCE = SOCIALISM!!!
  4. For some reason, it's been glossed over..... I wasn't specifically going after you NG, a lot of people across many boards are scoffing at the special. I say more power to him. He knows people care about what his decision is, why not get some money sent to the B&G Clubs? And yeah, he makes a ton of money but he's using his notoriety for a good cause, that's much more than some other highly-paid athletes do.
  5. You do know that he called the special so that he could raise money for the Boys and Girls Clubs of America, right? He knew that people would pay to see him say: "I'm going to xxxxx" so he used that thirst for that info to raise funds for a CHARITY. I agree, what a diva....how dare he use his fame and notoriety to raise money for a worthy cause!?!?
  6. You are really exposing yourself as an Apple-apologist. As GG pointed out, Apple's business enterprise software is bunk. Until that changes (and it probably won't as the business sector is not Apple's primary market), then RIM will continue it's market dominance in corporate settings. Try not making gross generalizations like "People are abandoning it whenever they get a chance". I don't know of one major corporation that has made their employees switch from the BB BES to Apple.
  7. Uh huh....she's got pretty big....eyes.
  8. I expected better. This was weak...and sadly, not very funny. You're slipping Crayonz....this was a comedy goldmine.
  9. Hairy gay men hang out in Jim in Anchorage's front yard.....?
  10. I thought his true passion was Dakota Fanning and the Twilight films....
  11. Did you advise him not to start a Twitter account? For some reason, that gets some people here really minging.
  12. The explanation by a series of engineers. http://www.eetimes.com/news/latest/showArt...cleID=225701516 If this doesn't show off the ineptitude of Apple in how quickly they pushed the product out just to make a quick buck, I don't know what does. Here's their new solution: http://cableorganizer.com/product-showcase...ubber-glove.jpg
  13. Wrong. Going into the half 2-2 results in a much different strategy that starting the second half down 2-1 pressing for the equalizer. Both of the resulting Germany goals came from over-aggression on account of England pressing to get the tying goal. A 2-2 game sees both teams play much, much differently. England got hosed. Plain and simple. Like Stojan said, this tournament is quickly devolving into "JOKE" territory with the absolute ineptitude of the referees. It's sickening. At it was made all the worse on the first Tevez goal at the beginning of the Argentina-Mexico game. Especially in soccer, the first goal is critical. And the refs f###ed it up again. Screw this tournament, I'm done.
  14. It's nothing more than a tainted win. A 2-2 draw at the half makes for a much different game than England pressing for the equalizer in the 2nd. The officiating at this Cup has been horrendous and the truly archaic existence of FIFA was exposed further today. I'm not all for instant replay but would it kill the sport to have a GOAL JUDGE!?! That failure of a linesman was 20 yards away from the play.
  15. Was Halak in goal for the Slovaks?
  16. This is hilarious! The engineers in my company are actually running tests on the antennae set up to see if this is true.
  17. It lasted about a minute here. Started out with a rumble and then starting shaking like crazy. I was eying up the nearest door frame when it stopped. Then we had to start evacuating people out of the building.
  18. I know everyone was worried about me (I mean you instantly think 'Heels' when you think 'Ottawa' right? Well, I'm fine. A little shook-up and some busted plates at home but all is well. Thank you for all your warm wishes... ...wait...not even a PM from any of you!?! I thought we were friends!?!?!
  19. Rocked our building here in Ottawa, Canada. Also felt in Toronto, Montreal and Boston according to friends of mine! THE EARTH IS ANGRY!!!
  20. I'm hoping this thing plays out like Brandon Marshall in Denver. Early camp disruption to the best player at his position. Then the season ends and we trade him appeasing those who want blood. For the record, I like ALL THREE BACKS. I know, I'm a total weirdo.
  21. I will never forget that moment, especially because it was my best friend and I in a room full of Patriots fans. When he made that catch, the room went from cheers and high-fives to murmurs....Plaxico's catch turned the room silent....'cept for two fans hooting and hollering in the middle. Next to a Bills Super Bowl-winning TD, the loudest I've ever cheered at a football play.
  22. Does anyone know why the NBA doesn't switch to the NHL format of 2-2-1-1-1? I agree that this format stinks for both teams. By losing one game at home, the Lakers set themselves up to lose the series? And now, with a 3-2 "advantage", the Celtics have to now win one of two on the road to win the Championship?!? No makey sensey.
  23. NHL players can be so uptight sometimes - it's fun to see them let loose and party like we would. Heck, my teammates and I went on a two day bender when we won our Ball Hockey League championship!
