Buffalo = End of QB's career
todd replied to Buffalo Destroyers!'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Can't wait for your 4th post! -
I listen all the time. When I want listen to stupidity for a bit, I switch over to Lonsberry for 10 minutes. That usually does the job.
-
So disgusting pig Wilfork is OK to lunge after Losman's legs and nobody in the NFL blinks an eye. Someone does it to wittle tommy bwady who plays for the New England Cheaters & Liars, and there's a rule change. I hate New England. They can suck my butt.
-
The 40 time is irrelevant for TEs. Very few TEs ever run a route that takes them 40 yards. Apparently this guy is a sick blocker, has good hands, and can get off jams. That's what you want from your TE, especially if you have good WRs. And now that Buffalo has 2 good WRs, Pettigrew could be a good pick. Of course, the Bills have so many needs besides TE, I could see them going defense in the first two rounds and not drafting a TE until the 3rd or 4th.

2009 Salary Cap Page available
todd replied to clumping platelets's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If I had to guess, that would be 10mil after rookie salaries. Which might be accurate considering that sheet doesn't have owens on it yet, and his contract all counts to the cash to cap calculation. -

And if he does, he'll deserve it. We've needed a QB that could do that for a while. -
Friggin meathead. I hate him. I hate Donahoe for letting it happen.
-
That's great. But he's a rookie and will be a detriment to the offensive line if we want to win this year.

What would it take for you to trade Peters?
todd replied to Astrobot's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Okay, so you aren't dim enough to expect a draft pick to produce like an experienced player in their 1st year, right? Not only that, you do realize that any draft pick is a risk and liability, right? You do realize that we'd basically have ZERO confidence on our QB's blind side, right? Trading peters is an idea for the bored or stupid. -

It would take more than draft picks. Buffalo needs to perform this year, and any rookie is a liability. Two 1st round picks is more expensive than signing Peters to an extended contract, not to mention the cost of replacing him. I think it would be a totally stupid move to trade him, and too expensive and risky to be worth it. Especially considering the spot next to him is empty as well. Why don't people see this? This is all I'd take: 2 1st rounders this year Brodrick Bunkley Omar Gaither Nothing less. -
Any Bills fan who wants to win this year shouldn't really be advocating trading Peters for any amount of draft picks. Draft picks rarely have a positive impact in the first year, and not only that there's no guarantee that they will pan out at all. As a matter of fact, playing a rookie is usually a liability. Why would someone want to introduce another liability, when this upcoming year is critical when it comes to making the playoffs?
-
Canty - should have at least tried. The Jets TE that went to NE. Not only that, there have been plenty of rumors about players available for trade. There's three, which I'm sure you'll attempt to refute just because it would make you wrong if you didn't. My point is that it is clear the Bills aren't seriously attacking FA or trades. If you can't see that, I don't know how the obvious eludes you.
-
Seems as if you don't have a better solution, either. If you're cool with the continued suckitude, just admit it. So we either overpay for players like everyone else, or refuse and continue to lose. Sounds like fun!
-
Well, that's the market. If you want the players, you've gotta pay them. I guess the alternative is continued mediocrity. Is that acceptable to you? Do you have another solution that will get them to at least 10 wins this year? Their current path won't do it. Believe me, I hear where you are coming from. Paying these players that kind of cash is tough. But how the hell do the Bills win next year if they don't? How do they get the starters and the depth to compete?
-
Generate excitement? How, by having a farting contest? Only a fuggin moron would think a draft pick would make an impact in their first year. You can't depend on that. And you can only realistically expect to replace ONE starter with your entire draft class, and the Bills need new starters on O-line, d-line, WR, TE, and LB. Are they even close to addressing that fact? No.
-
Yep, it is all a two-way street. If they were serious about stuff, maybe they should have offered more for Taylor. Maybe they should have overpaid for Coles! Maybe they should have attempted a trade. Maybe they should have done something - ANYTHING about the sorry state of their DEs. One guy coming off an injury and the rest behind him just SUCK. Maybe they should have gone after a few of the TEs that were on the market. Maybe they should have added another DT to the rotation. Look, I've made excuses for the front office for YEARS, much the same as you are right now. I have railed against the complainers and idiots around here who suggest we go after every FA available (like the morons suggesting we get Owens), but enough is enough. This isn't the offseason for a steady and measured strategy when it comes to trades and FA signings. The Bills are in deep shite, and need to start acting like they understand that. I don't think they do. I'm telling you, if the Bills or anyone else honestly thinks they can get better performance by signing a LB and a WR and drafting a TE in the first round, they are idiots. If they think they can fix the O-line by getting a slightly better center and a marginally better LG, then they are idiots. If they think that Trent Edwards will do better by getting a marginally better WR, they are fools. There's no reason underachievers like Kelsay and Denney should even be on the roster any more, but they are. Makes me want to vomit.
-
The only excuse for not going after Birk would be that the Bills were planning on signing 5 to 7 free agents to fix the multiple holes on our roster and didn't want to tie up that much cash at the C position. Apparently that isn't the case. I really don't think the Bills' front office realizes how pissed off the fans are about all the losing, and how far they really are from fielding a team that can beat the Patriots. I was expecting drastic action this year in FA or via trade, and so far I think the offseason has been a f-ing joke. Hopefully the Bills will make my opinion look foolish, but history supports ME and not them.
-
The front-office should be fired for incompetence if the following are true: 1. If they depend on a rookie or player coming off an injury to make an impact. 2. If they think that ignoring depth on the DL is OK. 3. If they think that signing 1 or 2 FAs this offseason will earn them more than one more win. 4. If they think their slow and steady approach to finding new starters will be effective. The Bills need more than modest upgrades at a few positions. That seems to be the approach they are taking. Anyone who is depending on our #11 pick to have an impact this year is retarded.

Sure Sign Cato June Won't Sign Here

Oh, will you allow me to worship you? -
Here's the case: you are an idiot for suggesting it. Hell, even Dallas couldn't deal with it. If that doesn't tell you something you've been eating lead paint chips for years. The idea is so completely stupid it is laughable. I mean, only really, really stupid people would seriously suggest this, so I'm guessing your thread is a joke. Good one!

I was gonna post the same thing, but thought better of it. Stupid, miserable people are amusing. Their entertainment value is high. -
Yeah, because it is a f-ing stupid idea that doesn't deserve the bandwidth we're giving it. Stupid people are funny, though.

Threads like this are beyond a bore. They are completely stupid. -
Are you kidding? TO would be useless to this team. Look what he did to Dallas and Philly. Do you really want that crap? That ass is a recipe for losing.
