Alright, who wants a dome?
apuszczalowski replied to Roundybout's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Not true, he may have gotten less. How many of his runs were because of poor play by the defence and not being able to get good footing in the snow? Or because someone slipped going after him? They also ran the football way more then they would have had the weather not been as bad. It is true, everything changes on a better field. As for the FGs, still a chance he misses one or 2, they kept mentioning how he hasn't kicked well in Buffalo -
Anybody catch the end of the Jax Seahawks game?

Was it the same choking gesture Sean payton did this week on TNF? -

But if they weren't "crap" and this game was required for them to make the playoffs or knock them out of contention, you would be happy that the conditions could have cost them a potential playoff spot and not the play on the field? And if it actually happened that this team was good and missed because of a QB injury or because of a bad game due to weather conditions, you would not be happier then seeing a bad team squeak into the playoffs -

I agree with you here, that wasn't Football, and how would fans react if this team was actually expected to be contenders and lost a game like this because of a fluke play caused by the snow and they missed the playoffs because of it? The difference between the other teams in the north east not having domes and the Bills is that those teams don't have the stadium in a location thats known for getting hit with large amounts of lake effect snow. If a new stadium is built, it may mean a dome, partial roof, or location out of a snow belt. It has nothing to do with fans being wusses or "snowflakes" and more to do with being able to play proper football and not the mess that happened today. Its fun to watch, but not a great game thats decided by the skills of the players. -

But your not as smart as a radio host (who most here do not consider to be very intelligent when it comes to football, unless he is agreeing with their thoughts) or a bunch of other internet message board posters who most likely have not had any football experience exceeding that of the most recent Maddon football game..... -

Yeah, the problem with him was more being injured all the time, not dropped passes -

But Math! and Percentages! Of course those percentages take into account the field/game conditions today. Of course thats not a factor though because the weather was not a factor in this game.... -

His problem here had more to do with staying healthy then not making plays. They guy was glass here and seemed more focus on the olympics then football -

It will be one of the overpaid vets that other teams would have to pay someone to dump...... -

Again, is it really facts? What are the odds in the conditions they were playing in, its ok, I will wait for you to go calculate them Considering the way the game had gone and the FACT they were playing in conditions hardly seen in a regular game, what are the odds in that situation? Why would you not want to pin them back as far as possible to help get better field position to try for a potential game winning field goal if you stop them? -
How much longer does McD get?

yeah, definitely not because he has a very good talented roster...... -

and what did it save if the Bills didn't convert and they took over where they had it on downs and the Colts started there instead of where the punt ended up? It was such a horrible call that they won the game! -

Was the fireable offence winning the game? You realize no one was really able to move the ball in this weather, so punting the ball today in this situation isnt the same as if this game was being played in sunny 70 degree weather? -

But what are the odds on a day where no one is really moving the ball because theres too much snow to get through and the wind and snow are making visibility difficult? -

Such a horrible decision to punt, it cost them in the end. They could have lost the game and ended all hope for the playoffs and then the fans could truly be happy as they would get to continue wallowing in misery which brings them secret Joy and we can continue to talk about what coach should be brought in next. Instead it worked out and they won a game which fans here hate..... -

apuszczalowski replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It might be fun to watch cause the Bills are actually winning, but it's not a good game, and it's not going to be won because one team played better then the other. It's going to be won because one team got a luckier break in the weather.. -

I wonder if it's an advantage or disadvantage? Do the Colts camouflage better and does it help? -

apuszczalowski replied to BuffaloBill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah, I was just thinking that they couldn't because of the rubber pellets, although as time goes on I believe those pellets are supposed to get broken in and get pressed into the field. Might be a good invention to design a plow that could come out and clear the field without damage. Maybe add a small brush to the bottom of the blade? -

Seeing how snow is made from frozen water, he could have stayed outside and had wine with the entire stadium..... -

You can't honestly evaluate anyone good or bad in this game, the conditions are so bad that no one can play their regular game. McCoy did have 2 really good runs that were keys to that drive. -
Stanton to the Yankees per Heyman
apuszczalowski replied to Kirby Jackson's topic in Major League Baseball's Topics
They would have if he didnt refuse any deal that wasnt to his list of 4 teams he would wave his no trade clause for. IIRC, I heard the Giants were offering their top 4 prospects, possibly even Pannik, but Stanton didn't want wave his no trade clause so the Yankees were a team he said he would wave it for and they swooped in and Jeter gave him to his old team for pennies just to get his contract off the books..... It's the Yankees, so some team will run to their rescue and take Gardner off their hands and over pay for him, along with anyone else they want to dump.... -

Stanton helped the Mrlins win all those playoff games and championships, so I guess the rest of the league might as well give up now......... -

Maybe they wanted to be the ones to destroy the dinosaurs instead? They want to save them so they can be the ones to destroy them? Or maybe they decided to join PETA after the last movie and now feel that every creature, even enormous ones wanting to kill you, deserve to live?
