  1. it's because he refused to play for a bunch of jack asses who threw him under the bus. dick knows D, and he's gotten good performances out of D tackles in his career. he also passed on all the other DTs that we could have had for that price to get stroud. DO YOU NOT THINK HE CONSIDERED WHY JAX WAS LETTING HIM GO? if dick thos rogers was better he could have gotten him, and considering he coached rogers in his best season i'll go by him. are you a pats fan? if so i have a size 13EEE allen edmonds here to send to your chest, SPECIAL DELIVERY!!
  2. SUSPEND THAT ANIMAL!!11 perhaps the most reasonable reassuring possible thing to hear from him. and the chicken littles will reply "TEH STATEMENT IS TEH PER PARED BY TEH AGENTZ!!111" to which i reply yes it is. and that's a good thing, shows he's taking stuff seriously and getting professionals to do their jobs.
  3. i think the idea is that the parties are private businesses that can do what they want. oh, yeah, you should realize that the people who run the government and look out for our everyday lives have a corporation they answer to first -- their party. how people expect a solution from the government to protect them from corporations given this is just laughable.
  4. i will laugh like a happy school girl getting taken to her first prom when stroud and aaron have a two linemen one cup (where brady is the cup) party on tom tom. it will be fun as can be to watch his knee get popped and turned to dust while his throwing arm is broken, his throwing shoulder is dislocated, and his throwing rotator cuff is turned into and antipasta. i will walk tall through a pats bar and kick every fat headed fake irish boston prick in the face while they cry into their pube filled pints of sam adams.
  5. GUNS BAD!!!!11111 look, i'm canadian (living in the states tho) and one thing that really becomes obvious when you live and travel around the country is that america is of two minds (at least!). you have new york city, the north east in general, and some (maybe most?) of the west coast saying guns are horrible. the limo liberal softy lefty type (who are like canadians but with more wealth and absolutely no shame in being ruthless and aggressive to earn more) pushing for health care, education, and more gun control solutions from the government (this is also true of conservative relgious types in these places as well as tat'd up hipsters). then you have most of the rest of the country who own guns and have disagreements on who can CCW permit, and what kind of guns are over the line for ownership. these people also have varying views on economics and abortion and so on, but are just fine with gun ownership. now you will read a story about a cop shooting someone to death who was unarmed (in nyc that happens and gets a lot of coverage). people who are saying the cops did bad will change their mind if the guy getting shot had a gun (and had it say in his glove box) but not if he is a convicted felon. this is really a strong point i think because people in this city and region consider owning a gun as a worse thing as being a convicted felon. this (across political lines even) is just very very regional. guys like bill in nyc who is or was a cop is all pro law and cops, but anti gun ownership. johnny protest in the area hates the cops but is also anti gun ownership/pro gun control. in the midwest and south it is just the opposite. i really think the frontier mentallity that IMO made america great in many ways is really faded in "old" america where people act and think a lot like europeans but is alive and kicking in most of the nation.
  6. look, anyone who owns a gun is an idiot. no one needs them. they are for police only. if there is any weapon involved police should be able to come in and just arrest everyone. you can trust the cops. also, i'm a vegitarian /hitler GUNS BAD, BAD BAD!!! cereal tho, people are saying he should just abandon his family. sure. this guys dad is a bad dude, don't tell me just because hardy is big and strong he has nothing to fear from his father. an average sized dude with a real will to kill you could do it in seconds with any number of house hold objects. also, GUNS BAD BAD BAD, NO MOAR FIFTH AMENDMENT!!!!11ONEONE
  7. GUNS BAD!! GUNS ARE EVIL, PEOPLE WHO OWN THEM ARE EVIL! I DON'T LIKE THEM SO IT'S GOOD THE GOVERNMENT IS CRACKING DOWN!!
  8. you should use your fifth amendment rights. honestly, it will make your arguments seem much better.
  9. i agree the kid needs to make better moves and avoid the negative element -- but what is with the gun hate? what part of france is orchard park in? guy has a constitutional G-damn right to own weapons. for all we know his father WAS threatening him.
  10. bill "No charges have been filed. The younger Hardy has a permit to carry a gun, and the police say they have no plans to pursue the matter further" this is america. inspite of fascist laws in states like ny, there is a second amendment that allows citizens to keep weapons. although the soviet of new york city has managed to trample the consititution, owning a gun is not illegal in most parts of the usa or anywhere near wrong. i am worried about the kid tho.
  11. they also blew sh-- vs the giants and philly. yeah they were back up back ups, but they were switching off their man and sh-- with the ball in the air. against cleveland half the time you saw whitner blowing his top at guys missing assignments. they just sucked dude, except they picked off passes OK and stopped the deep bomb.
  12. i flew up to buffalo to see the faketriots visit. as bad as the rush was (very bad) the secondary was worse. guys letting moss go inside to cover no one outside, just dropping off of coverage with the ball in the air, and the best was wilson pulling a highschool flag football mistake move of stopping and just jumping straight up about 5 yards shy of where he could be. if personal mistakes were rare why were we so horrible in coverage?
  13. you put your players in where they can make the greatest impact on the game. if leodis can have hester like moments, he can change the game on a return. he's a natural at it, so he should avoid getting hurt. deon was a natural at it too, never got hurt doing it really.
  14. god this made me mad under butler. we let ted washington, thomas, reed, and bruce smith walk because of big contracts to holecec ostroski parker fina reimersma flutie rj and we let marcelles wiley go cuz we were in cap jail too. bruce smith, phat pat, washington, wiley would have made an INSANE front 4 throw cowart and any 2 draft picks behind them and you have a monster front 7. :<
  15. i think the point that bill (who i like but bugs me with this!!! STOP IT BILL11!) is missing is that DBs are generally the best immediate impact rookie performers. you need 4 at all times and up to 6 on D at once -- so a new guy can contribute as opposed to a qb or rb or even DE who needs to displace a guy to play at all it is a speed and instincts position -- that's easy (by nfl standards) to judge in ncaa ball and project to nfl skills they play on an island much of the time -- makes it easy for the rook to jump in and play speed and confidence rule the day -- perfect for the young top rated kids also, they have the ability to make game changing plays instantly, and stop them. a tight game can be blown open on a big pass -- DBs are what stops that. also a db can pick off a pass and bring it back. your whole D on passing downs is dictated by your secondary. if you don't have corners and DBs you are limited in what you can do, showing and disguising coverages, and if you don't get pressure you get picked appart, but if you blitz you are exposing your backfield and at some point will get opened up for a big play. a great wr can destroy a dominant d, but outstanding db play can eliminate or limit that wr's ability to make an impact. philly, balitmore, and the giants played extremely aggresively in the secondary against moss and for the most part took what might be the best player in the game out of it. new englands 1st and 3rd bowl wins, along with pitts and indy all came down to huge interceptions at the right time for their teams. no guard and very very few tackles are worth what a true top cb is (we got a guard and a tackle for what nate clements got).
  16. we've rebuilt our entire secondary with the exception of mcgee. that's 8-11 guys in total bill. the free agents we got were lower tier cheap ones. we let vincent, milloy, and clements go. we've spent picks or signed big FAs in every position with the exception of WR until round 2 this year.
  17. if you were a dog i'd pet you biscuit!!!!! the 11th pick on a guard who what, might start at RG? maybe move someone to C? if we keep 9 men out of the box we can run block just fine -- we need talent on our d and that's what we went out and got. it's just laughable that every highly rated OL is just assumed by fans to be able to come in and be a probowler right away, while secondary players on D are all just chumps who are a waste because all that matter is the pass rush which of course means the front 4 should be able to get there before anyone has to even cover. DRUGS!!! THIS BOARD IS ON DRUGS!!
  18. exactly. LB's had a gap picked out and just had to run downhill on most short running plays against us. a good medium pass WR would have torched those a couple times.
  19. i think there will be lots of directional and placed kicks to prevent the TD, if mclovin in on the pitch then he might make a 35 yard line type start be more like a 48 yard line type start. and if our D is good we will be forcing a lot more punts -- roscoe will be able to share the load.
  20. WE NEED A PASSRUSH, AARON AND KELSEY ARE CRAP, HOT POCKET!!!! i think having wilson, greer, dipizza and ellison behind them, and williams and tripplett between them (and no healthy back ups for much of the season) really helped our ends. bottom line is it all friggen counts and upgrading our depth and starter at every single level of the D is gonna help everyone. i expect 40+ sacks and plenty turnovers.
  21. you see a C in the draft that would come in and play well enough to improve our run on 3rd and short to warrent a pick? think having zero passing threats in the flats due to smurf WRs might have gotten the box stacked? and with THE SAME LINEMEN AS LAST SEASON we had tthe 8th rated pass rush in the nfl in 06. this is with one extra great corner and 2 good LBs. now we have 2 new (as poz was hurt) lb's and we added a stud corner. it all counts bill, including the secondary. how can you say that we had good corners last season, we had street free agents back there. when a team with 3 pro bowlers on the OL and a pro bowl QB spreads you out with 4 or 5 wide, you need to cover. you need to make plays against the pass in the secondary. last year the oline was good, not great but good. last year our secondary was HORRIBLE. not bad but horrible. putting the 11th pick into a decent o lineman who can't even start for your team at his natural position is a horrible move compared to the top corner in the draft who projects to being a day one stud and starter. they are all football players bill, even if they aren't huge 300 pounders.
  22. OF COURSE!! i mean our o line did let up the fewest sacks in frachise history -- so they are ok at the least. or corners were TERRIBLE last year. we schemed and did things up front to try to stop the passes (and did fairly well against the long deep bomb) but every 3rd and long it was just a matter of watching the cb cut the wrong way or just get jumped over for the ball. 2nd and 3rd wr's had career days against us all year.
  23. i've got a feeling last year was an off year for many of our D players (line especially) and this year will be a lot different. kelsey might rack up 6 or 7 sacks and some big plays
  24. WHAT ABOUT BACK UP OLINE?!?!?!?! ONLY IDIOTS WOULD PASS ON A GUARD PROJECT TO CONVERT TO A TACKLE!!!11 IDIOTS!!!
  25. i hate teams and players contextually. i hate the ones who play us. i'll always hate the pats. i don't hate for example the titans for the music city, or the skins and boys for the superbowls. i hate front runners and other homos, but really i hate teams based on the here and now, not on a legacy.
