  1. Very nice. The ethnic last name bit was the funniest, for me.
  2. Fast fact: If we had a thread about what radio jackasses picked for or against our Bills in every NFL market, in every week, that would be at least 31 threads (I'm combining the two NJ teams into one radio market). Who the F cares?
  3. He's revealing his St. Joe's education, is all.
  4. Your post is not politically incorrect and the campaign is out of control.
  5. bump over the seventeen Maybin threads
  6. I looked at the first four weeks and thought three weren't just winnable--but wins. (Of course, I got the last two wrong on the specifics.) At the beginning of the year, I thought the Bills could beat any of the four NFC East teams on the schedule--not that they would, but that they could; i.e., they are "winnable" games in my mind. Southern Maryland might be 3-1, but I'm not a believer. The Jets in Buffalo don't scare me as much as perhaps they should--they do have a very, very good defense. But I can also see Sanchez having a pick-fest out there. It's a winnable game, IMO, although maybe not as winnable as the three against the NFC East. I'm going to say 3-1 again. Possibly 2-2. No way worse than that.
  7. Did you? When did you start thinking that? If it's at any point before approximately 4:30 last Sunday, I'm not believing you. Most people didn't even expect a 3-1 start (I know, because I did, and people were pretty critical of me).
  8. Right on. Moreover, I don't think that the wildcat fools anyone (or "forces them to prepare") when the team runs out of it 95 percent of the time. I'd rather give the ball to Jackson against that mean Cincy front seven than screw around with Brad Smith.
  9. He may be athletically gifted, but he's a freaking dumbass. He was a dumbass when he ran the ball out of the endzone and he's a dumbass now.
  10. I'm almost proud to have to ask this, but what is a wizzer bat?
  11. Granted, it may have been tough to find because "defer" is spelled "differ" in the title, but this is only a couple of days old: http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/136124-if-we-win-the-toss-do-we-differ/page__p__2267004__hl__defer__fromsearch__1#entry2267004
  12. Here's what's sad: Of course, the Jills aren't doing the exams. But someone is, and they are reaching out to guys, 40-70, to get a health check done. More dudes get prostate cancer than women get breast cancer, but who gives a !@#$. right? There is less research money at it, no serious approach to prevention (as proven by the first page here). Look. If you're 40, get screened. If you're male, DEMAND ATTENTION. I'm glad the NFL does its pink month or whatever, and I love me the tittys, but WTF when it comes to ourselves?
  13. I'm a little sick of the media attention, too.
  14. Always defer unless weather dictates otherwise. (E.g., if a storm is going to roll in at 130pm, but at kickoff, there are clear skies.)
  15. In this case, it's almost certainly former Razorback Darren McFadden.
  16. Politically, sports, economics, you're right. I'd bet 85% of the folks living in the five boroughs can't find Buffalo on a map because that city is so self-centered. They can't even remember that a plane hit the Pentagon or a field in Penna., FFS.
  17. It's more expensive than a trip to the sports bar.
  18. Green Bay is one of those teams, like the Steelers and Cowboys, that has a HUGE national following. Raiders, too, I suppose, but CBS can put them on any time. But this is their big chance to market 60 Minutes and Eight Simple Things CSI Hates about Meeting Your Mother or whatever crappy sitcoms they have to Packers fans.
  19. CBS only gets two opportunities per year to put the Super Bowl champs on. And that's IF Green Bay's other game at an AFC team isn't a night game. If it is, then this is CBS's only shot to televise Green Bay.
  20. Playoff talk isn't out of the question, IMO. This offense is scary good, and we've suffered through enough bad times to allow ourselves to enjoy the good ones. But anyone ranking them in the top 5 of the league is overrating them, if you ask me.
  21. Why not the other three? (Or do you think they're not interesting enough on a national level that it could happen?)
  22. None of them are easy and they need to take it a game at a time. A number of us looked at the first quarter and said "3-1, that would be doable." Now it's guaranteed. The second quarter, I think 2-2 is very within reason, and again, 3-1 is doable.
  23. As I pointed out in the shoutbox this morning, Cinci's D is tougher than any the Bills have faced. They are 5th against the pass and 8th against the run. The Bills had better be prepared to play a low-scoring game.
  24. Sabres, too. He likes Buffalo.
