  1. Anyone else concerned about Trent changing shirts this often? Knowing his injury history, last thing we need is a freak injury before the season even starts.
  2. Is that to say that we employ inferior players? Because there is no way in hell I would trade Lynch for Turner, Barber, Williams or Gore. I guess what I'm saying is at this point in maddens evolution, they should be able to base their player ratings on more than just stats. Discouraging to know the only football game around is being made by people who don't really know football.
  3. ^^^baked, no doubt about it. edit 2:43am: me too dude
  4. Very important. There are tons of stipulations and rules that are in place to prevent a complete breakdown of team balancing. I remember hearing them laid out in detail a while ago and thinking to myself a strike is much more probable than an uncapped year.
  5. Lynch..87?? Please. 2 Brian Westbrook — Philadelphia — 97 3 Michael Turner — Atlanta — 95 <----Better than DeAngelo Williams — Carolina — 95 <-----Better than 5 Clinton Portis — Washington — 94 LaDanian Tomlinson — San Diego — 94 7 Steven Jackson — St. Louis — 93 Frank Gore — San Francisco — 93 <-----Better than 9 Maurice Jones-Drew — Jacksonville — 92 <----SRSLY? 10 Marion Barber — Dallas — 91 <-----Beast Mode Lite
  6. I'm convinced that if TE stayed hot all year and was putting up W's, he would have played every game last year(besides AZ obviously).
  7. BB Fan I was hoping you would stop trying to defend yourself...but you haven't. You need to realize that among the many posters on TSW, this thread makes it very clear you are near the bottom in terms of overall knowledge of the NFL. You've defended yourself with semantics for 4 pages now - when the fact remains you are obviously clueless to some of the institutions and common practices of NFL teams. People like you need to spend a few years learning about professional football before infecting our young fans with your ignorance.
  8. I'm not sure if you know this but at the bottom right hand corner of your screen it shows you the date. Mine reads 6/5/09.
  9. Some people really do read WAYYY into things. I mean seriously?
  10. We win 2/4 of those super bowls and we're top 3.
  11. Dang. Oh Well, our team is still young maybe next year. I wonder if they are any early reports on how our 2010 season will be. ...(thx to the author too, save me a few hundred bucks that i would normally spend on Sunday Ticket)
  12. It means NOTHING. He's not going to buy a house in Buffalo while he is on a one year contract. The Bills are not going to randomly extend his contract 3 months before he makes his debut. THREAD CLOSED. (Big Cat please bookmark and refer to this thread before starting any others that you may instantly disagree with.)
  13. Funny now you're spending an entire thread defending the opposite....
  14. Super Bowl teams look for sparks from their players, not their coaching staff. If DJ dropped his pants at halftime of any of those games we still would've lost. You're either naive or out of touch with reality to think our players "gave up" or sleep-walked through any part of those games. What you saw was poor execution and an extremely conservative gameplan.
  15. Mike Singletary is probably the ONLY current HC that I wouldn't take over Dick Jauron. The issues with our coaching staff relate to their decision making and gameplanning, not their lack of motivational abilities. DJ could beat the crap out of players as described in this article, but that won't change the fact he's going to play not to lose.
  16. You've watched Remember the Titans too many times.
  17. Most teams don't win super bowls either. However the ones that do... Steelers: Polamalu, Harrison have to both be considered elite. Patriots: Brady, Moss, Belicheat = definition of elite. 3 more than us Giants: Umenyiora may have been their only elite player in 07 but, Plax, Tuck, Pierce, Shockley, Strahan are all in the vicinity of and would be/would've been upgrades to us. Not that I disagree with your point, I just feel there is a definite talent gap between these perennial SB contenders and the Bills, the most glaring off which being coaching staffs. Would trade our entire staff for any of those three's any day.
  18. If EA sports was smart they would bring madden back to its roots. It just don't get any better.
  19. I have a tough time distinguishing between average and mediocre in my head, so I just used average and below-average OFFENSE QB.Edwards=Average(being generous) RB.Lynch=Great(Would be elite if he played for the right team) FB.McIntyre=Garbage(Irrelevant probably the better term) WR.Evans=Good WR.Owens=Great WR. Reed=Average TE.Schuman=Garbage LT.Walker=Average LG.Levitre=? C.Hangartner=Average RG.Woods=? RT.Butler=Average DEFENSE RE. Schobel=Good DT.Stroud=Good DT.Williams=Average (Teetering on below-average, had a solid start last year but got manhandled the rest of the season) LE.Kelsay=Below Average OLB.Elison=Below Average MLB.Posluszny=Average OLB.Mitchell=Average CB.McGee=Good CB.McKelvin=Good CB.Florence=Average FS.Simpson=Average SS.Whitner=Good Coaching Staff=Below Average
  20. These are the type of posts you get when children are allowed to use the PC unsupervised.
  21. It's been alleged that Turk is calling the plays, however I'm convinced our coaching staff in general may be using the "ask madden" button.
