  1. My wife also has to work on Thanksgiving too. Thanksgiving is on Wednesday(today). Leftovers and beer for Thursday. By myself. That's perfect in my opinion.
  2. Jim Kelly Out, Joe Theismann in for Legend's Banquet and football clinic
  3. I grew up on a farm in South Dakota, I think at one time we had between 30 to 50 cats. We never fed them, parents said they had to fend for themselves. I'd see them catch pigeons, cotton tails, rats, mice and snakes. Then my dad brought home a big bad dog that hated cats. He killed all of them he could, except the bigger tom cats, dog didn't mess with the toms. Anyways, after the cats were exterminated we had rats, big rats all over the place. Pigeon population exploded too. Today, we have two cats. They have a kitty door, so they can come and go as they want. They never go anywhere except the backyard. They don't know how to kill anything. They do know how to catch things. So far 3 rats and a flopping lizard tail(I don't where the cat got the tail) that they bring inside. The one cat comes in the house drops the rat in front, like "look what I did." I developed a routine to get rid of the rats, so no big deal. Anyways, my cat story.
  4. OK, so I'm a homer, graduated from SDSU, but Zach Zenner is tearing it up. on ESPN3 now. 168 yards on 11 carries so far.
  5. My friend got a dui and when the tow truck got to the scene he also got a popped for a dui.
  6. Doug Williams and Steve Young, both drafted by Tampa Bay.
  7. This is to funny. I live by a Trader Joe's in Sacramento. It is the truth.
  8. Here is another link to the Minneapolis Tribune. Since this is an EPA Superfund site, I didn't think they would be able to serve food. Plus, Arden Hills does not have the infrastructure to support a stadium without a lot more spending. Minneapolis has a great light rail system but it does not go to Arden Hills. I still hope something goes through. The Vikings are a regional team bringing in fans from North and South Dakota, Iowa and Wisconsin. I grew up in South Dakota and lived in downtown Minneapolis. It was great, but no tailgating for some reason.
  9. A Horse Whisperer No bridle or saddle. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ya409k181kk
  10. Ron Burkle is the co-owner of the Pittsburgh Penguins wants to buy the Kings and keep them in Sacramento. Sorry, I'm not that young. I remember Wes Unseld, Elvin Hayes with the Baltimore Bullets(my team back then), Lew Alcindor and the Big "O" with the Bucks, Jerry West and Wilt with the Lakers. Not sure if it is in chronological order although. Also I think Nate "Tiny" Archibald was playing for the KC Royals at that time. Anyways, I grew up in rural South Dakota back in the 70's. We got 3 channels on TV. Not a whole lot of options to know what was going on, but I remember getting to watch the NBA and the NFL, but just NFC games and they were usually the Vikings. We finally got the channel that carried the AFC without complete "snow" when watching. It was the first time I seen OJ Simpson. Became a Bills fan and have been a fan ever since.
  11. I am not attached to the Kings, but living in Sacramento it's the only pro sport in town. I have always been a Bills fan and I really don't follow the NBA. I just never seen a city lose a team and the emotion that comes with it. I used to live in Minneapolis and like the Kings, the Vikings are trying to get a new stadium. Like the Vikings, the city of Sacramento and the Kings have been trying to get a new arena for the last ten years. After the game last night the players went to the locker room only to return to the floor. It was emotional. It is stuff I have never seen before. As of now, the owners of the Kings do not have votes the among owners to move them. If they do move, Sacramento will still have the Mountain Lions(UFL) and the River Cats(minor league baseball).
  12. Did that "Google thing." LA Clippers, didn't work out to well for them until Blake Griffin.
  13. I forgot about the Braves, where did they end up going?
  14. A very sad day in Sacramento. I moved hear about two and a half years ago, so I do not have the attachment like other people from Sacramento to this team. It has been all over the local news the last couple of weeks and it has been all over on ESPN today. The sad part about the deal is that the Maloof Brothers(the current owners) are broke. The brothers owe the city of Sacramento over 75 million dollars. They are trying get Anaheim to pick up the tab and then issue bonds to bail them out, it's not because of a better market, but because the Maloof's squandered away their money. Ron Burkle, a multi-billionaire is committed to keeping the Kings in Sacramento but the Maloof's want to keep the Kings and get bailed out again. I feel bad for the fans. Also, can LA and Anaheim support 3 teams. It happened to the Seattle Supersonics, the Colts and Browns, just hope it never happens in Buffalo. Anyways, this may have been the last sign off for the Sacramento Kings at Arco Arena. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fIRi52C5FEI&feature=player_embedded
  15. I was down 48 with Vick and DeSean Jackson. But from what I hear on ESPN and NFL networks is the humility. You don't know until you walk in another man's shoes.
  16. I don't post much, but what a good game.
  17. Golf Poem In My Hand I Hold A Ball, White And Dimpled, Rather Small. Oh, How Bland It Does Appear, This Harmless Looking Little Sphere. By Its Size I Could Not Guess, The Awesome Strength It Does Possess. But Since I Fell Beneath Its Spell, I've Wandered Through The Fires Of Hell. My Life Has Not Been Quite The Same, Since I Chose To Play This Stupid Game. It Rules My Mind For Hours On End, A Fortune It Has Made Me Spend. It Has Made Me Yell, Curse And Cry, I Hate Myself And Want To Die. It Promises A Thing Called Par, If I Can Hit It Straight And Far. To Master Such A Tiny Ball, Should Not Be Very Hard At All. But My Desires The Ball Refuses, And Does Exactly As It Chooses. It Hooks And Slices, Dribbles And Dies, And Even Disappears Before My Eyes. Often It Will Have A Whim, To Hit A Tree Or ! Take A Swim. With Miles Of Grass On Which To Land, It Finds A Tiny Patch Of Sand. Then Has Me Offering Up My Soul, If Only It Would Find The Hole. It's Made Me Whimper Like A Pup, And Swear That I Will Give It Up. And Take To Drink To Ease My Sorrow, But The Ball Knows ... I'll Be Back Tomorrow. Stand proud you noble swingers of clubs and losers of balls.... A recent study found the average golfer walks about 900 miles a year. Another study found golfers drink, on average, 22 gallons of alcohol a Year. That means, on average, golfers get about 41 miles to the gallon.
  18. I was wondering if this has happened to anyone else here. I sent a check for my Student Loan pmt.; dropped it off inside the letter deposit box inside the Post Office. It never made after a few weeks, so I canceled the check. Well, last week I had a charge on my account for $866 to Comcast, then yesterday a charge to Sprint for $544. I had to close all my accounts. The money I have left is basically frozen. I reported it, of course to my bank, the USPS, and finally the Sacramento Police. Just venting a little. Names of the people were on my account for both Comcast and Sprint charges. I do not have an account with either company. I did a search on 411.com, and I got one match for each of the people listed on my statement in the Sacramento area. I am just wondering if anyone has went through this before? I'm sure this is mail fraud. Thanks
  19. Just a refresher on where Trent came from. As I remember he was highly recruited coming out of High School. Trent
  20. Hello, I am new to the Sacramento area and was wondering if anyone knows of good place to watch the Bills/Rams game. Thanks
