Michael Jackson dead - Cardiac Arrest
billsfanmiami(oh) replied to Southern McButterpants.'s topic in Off the Wall Archives
TMZ reporting he is dead. Just saw it on the news. link -
I live in Bexley and have a buddy who lives further out on the east side and have seen the one out there. It peaked my interest and I may have to give it a shot (Although I can still probably do better at the house!).

Huh?

Well said. That's why it will be devastating if the Bills do ever leave town. It's about a lot more than what goes on on the field. For 7 Sundays each fall, 70 something thousand people get together to eat, drink, and be merry (even though the latter doesn't always occur). It's about grandfathers, grandmothers, fathers, mothers, brothers, sisters, etc. getting together and having some cold ones for a few hours and all hoping for the same result. Despite what is going on in each of our individual lives at the time, it's a chance to escape and have some fun. I'll tell you what it was an awesome feeling coming out of the stadium after the Raiders and San Diego games last year. High Fiving hundreds of strangers and just the overall vibe was great. Hopefully we'll all get to do that this year a little later into the fall!

Do you care if Bills players smoke marijuana?

I take it you've never had any good painkillers.... -
Anyone drink Firefly vodka?
billsfanmiami(oh) replied to The Poojer's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Actually had my first taste of 'shine earlier this year. Not bad at all, very smooth but still could definitely feel the burn. Would have been been really good if it was chilled. -

151 can do some damage. I did a shot of straight everclear once. I don't suggest it. If I'm doing a shot, it's going to be Jeager or Patron. -
Or certainly not #4 overall good either for that matter....

Roadfood thread got me to thinkin...Memphis
billsfanmiami(oh) replied to Beerball's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Wasn't aware Interstate had a place on Beale. Hit up the original on 3rd st. Area looks a little iffy but never had any trouble there. Im in Memphis a number of times during the year for work and Interstate is always my first stop. I've eaten there 2 and 3 days in a row for lunch. The airport location is great too while waiting for a flight. Make sure you get a chopped shoulder sandwich. I always get some extra bbq sauce on the side. Also get a side of BBQ spaghetti. Sounds strange but it is amazing. Probably my favorite thing on the menu. Service can be iffy, but the food is so good you wont care. You can leave very full for under $10 (large chopped shoulder bout 6, bbq spaghetti 2) -
While eating some sub par wings at a BW3's last night, my co-worker said "didn't you tell me a while back that the Anchor Bar from Buffalo was going national?" Since I hadn't really ever heard anything else about it after the initial announcements and press releases, it peaked my interest. Did a quick google search and can only find stuff about the initial announcement. Am I missing something?

New Name For K-Gun in the Edwards Era
billsfanmiami(oh) replied to Chief D's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Peyton Manning? Brady? Not saying Trent will even come close to sniffing their jocks' but there are at least a couple examples of current qbs that do a lot of their own play calling at the line. -
Yup its on DVD. Awesome mini-series with a lot of cool history that I would have never known about. I can honestly say I really didn't know much about him before I watched it. I have the book too but never ended up finishing it after I started watching the show (I know shame on me). Adams really was a remarkable man.

Our D was pretty damn good in 2003. If we had any assemblance of an offense that year we would have been a playoff team.

Is Corey Mcintyre the worst fullback in the NFL?
billsfanmiami(oh) replied to Hossage's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Classic... What I want to know is why after he has spent his whole carrer gathering tees, do we plan on making him the towell boy this year? Will his skill set transition? Time will tell... -
Lee and Trent take BP before Yanks vs Jays
billsfanmiami(oh) replied to Maefster88's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Great. Trent is still suffering from groin issues. I think he could be quite good but I really hope he doesn't turn into Tim Connoly V2.0 -
My review of last years rams/bills game
billsfanmiami(oh) replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Agree with the conclusion but wouldn't call a 6th round pick a "let down" as a starter. Most players taken in the later rounds end up as depth players and anything else is gravy. -

billsfanmiami(oh) replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I wouldn't go quite that far. I think most of that was based on that stupid article that used some meaningless formula to determine he was the "best" in the league at pass coverage. If I remember correctly I think the sample size of Ellison's stats used in that formula was comparatively small, making the conclusion even more suspect. I definitely remember a number of posters giving him a nice tongue bath after the article but I would imagine most people saw him as a temporary starter. -
Not surprisingly, Bills tickets are lowest priced
billsfanmiami(oh) replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm pretty sure they got them through a 3rd party vendor so I'm sure they were much higher than the 25,000 that they would cost initially through the team. Like I said I thought it was around 30K. I guess I got the 6 figure thing in my head from reading about Cowboy tickets at the new stadium or something. -
Cool! Hope to visit there someday. I will admit though, when I saw the thread title I was worried you were going here

billsfanmiami(oh) replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Seriously. I would imagine most season ticket holders would pay an extra $100 a year if we had a consistant winner. I know I wouldn't think twice about it. It's still hard to believe that my seats on about the 13 yardline 17 rows up run me $570 (i think) for the whole season! When I tell people from other cities that they look at me like I'm crazy. My fiance's aunt is dating a guy with 4 Panthers seasons on the 50 like 5 rows up. I wanna say he told me that they were like 35K or something. (honestly cant remember but it may have even been six figures). -

Is your user name by any chance a reflection of your current status as a law student? My fiance is about to graduate law school in a little over a week and I could totally understand if it was! Good luck in your studies.
