Open or not most speed limits near schools are 25 MPH.

When school is open and the light is flashing then it drops to 15 MPH.

Kids still like to use the fields or rec areas of schools

Now if school's open but it's 100% remote, are those lights still blinking?  I've always assumed those lights were pre-programmed to blink on those weekdays, but maybe that's not the case.  I have a school zone pretty much right up the street that I'm driving through a lot.  Their lights are blinking, but right now there are zero kids.  The police station is also on the same road, so I'm sure there's more than enough opportunities to pull people over.  I'm mostly thinking out loud here, but I have no idea whether or not they could hold people to that school zone speed right now.

Yeah, amazing how many shows feature housekeeper when the overwhelming majority of Americans not only haven't ever employed one, but have never even seen one.

The most recent show in the options ended 16 years ago, unless I missed something.  So either the list is a product of the age of the posters here or it's a role that has been phased out from shows over time.  I'm having a hard time thinking of many from more recent shows, but then again, the sitcom has been dying a slow painful death for a while now.

By the way, I vote Geoffrey.

I just hope they keep Krueger and his assistants. I’d hate to see him fired because he refused a 2nd pay cut. No way can we afford a cheap, rookie coach on top of a cheap, rookie GM.

If they fire him, they're still paying him though, right?  So they can't really do that because it only adds payroll in the form on the next set of coaches.

If things don't clear up soon, this league is in for some trouble.  I never thought contraction was a serious possibility for any of these leagues, but it could be if money continues to tighten up.  I wonder if Seattle may try to convince the league to push the expansion back a year or more.  Obviously the league really wants that expansion fee, but if you're Seattle, do you really want to pay that right now given the uncertainty.

He’s not being charged with murder in the first. At present the charges are first degree intentional homicide, first degree reckless homicide, and attempted first degree homicide.

According to witnesses, Anthony Huber attacked Rittenhouser with his skateboard after watching Rittenhouse shoot Joseph Rosenbaum, who also later died from his wounds. One skateboard. One. And used in defense of human life to boot. Some might call that a heroic act, but never those pushing a far right agenda.

People with guns? According to witnesses, there was one person with a gun, Gaige Grosskreutz who, again after Rittenhouse shot Rosenbaum and Huber, walked towards Rittenhouse with his arms raised before Rittenhouse shot him in the arm and Grosskreutz ran away.

Presumably, these witnesses and facts will be presented at trial. In the meantime, the far right has to work overtime to paint this kid as anything more than the trigger happy trouble maker he appears to be. That includes fostering a false narrative that he was the victim of unprovoked mob violence and was just trying to protect himself while “being chased by people with guns and hitting him over the head with skateboards.”

It's all a matter of semantics at this point, but I can't really use the label of trigger happy when the only people who were shot were people who came after him.  This whole thing will come down to why that first guy was chasing him.  I don't know if details of that are out there yet, but I haven't seen it.

Towards the end I noticed that this is the first Batman movie that acknowledges he wears the eye makeup under the mask. Where the old ones it magically disappeared when he took the mask off. Small detail but it always bothered me for some reason.

Nirvana was a cool touch as well.

Also as far The Dark Knight Rises not being as good as The Dark Knight. Agreed but IIRC the plan was going to be Joker again as the main villain but obviously plans changed. So who knows what Nolan’s original vision for the conclusion would have been. It was a very good plan B.

I doubt he was ever going to be the main villain.  I can't imagine any story that wasn't going to bring the Ra's storyline full circle.  If anything, I'd bet that Joker was going to have the judge role that Scarecrow filled.

I doubt a jury will convict him of murder or frankly anything.  The people who were shot were not innocent bystanders.

He was about ten seconds from being severely beaten by an unknown number of assailants and the video shows one of the people chasing him was also armed with a handgun.  No one is going to sit there on the street and get beaten to death.

Should a 17 year old kid be out patrolling in a riot alone without adult supervision?  No.  If anyone should be brought up on charges, it's those two people.

Has anyone else from his group been identified? I’m. It sure if I’ve seen more than one other person in the videos I’ve seen, but that may be the so called adult supervision you’re mentioning.

???  Hes completely against deputizing armed militia like Rittenhouse and said nothing about race in the second video.

He may have mentioned race and he may not have.  It's tough to tell from that selectively edited quote. We're judging the book after reading only the last chapter, that's what we do all the time in this cell phone video world.  We really need to train more people to have the initial reaction of "well what happened before they started filming".  Sadly there's no ratings in that line of thinking.  We need immediate gratification.

I agree. They could do that if they were able to pull off the universe the way Marvel did. Like how we'll now have a new Capt America and no Iron Man....or a new Iron Man?

But DC has sucked at it.

Joker and The Batman seem like they could be great starting points for a good series. They say Joker is not related to this one, but the tone and the Joker-esque gang in the new trailer seem to match Joker.

I hope they never follow-up Joker.  That movie was perfect as a standalone.

This is a worn-out complaint, especially with iconic comic-based movies. The comics themselves tell thousands of stories and include different versions of the same hero/villain.

Why should that be different with movies?

When it comes down to it, all movies are the same old stories told in a different way, under a different context, with different characters. Its just the passing on of ideas through different groups and generations of people.

So don't expect super hero movies to go extinct any time soon and we can look forward to niche characters being thrown in here and there.

They absolutely need to tell a good Silver Surfer/Galactus story on the big screen with awesome effects. The 2007 film was a bit disappointing.

It's odd though.  With all those stories and source material, they keep going back to an early in his career Batman.  Snyder was really the only one who didn't.  He planted a ton of easter eggs for what could have been a very different version of Batman than we've seen in movies.  We've never seen any of the rest of the bat family in anything but the campy versions.  If they really want something different, particularly with these darker takes, they need to bring Jason Todd to the big screen.  That will shake people from the "same old story" line of thinking.

So the film that is supposed to unite all the Batman movies as coming from a common place rather than treating them as separate entities? Sort of the Rick and Morty of Batman movies where there is a multiverse of Batmen with some time travel thrown in(which is distinctly not Rick and Morty)? Hopefully not literal time travel so few movies handle that well.

That doesn't feel like a good idea but we will see I guess.

I hope they don't do that to the Spider Man movies but I guess they sort of did with the animated one. The earlier ones just need to be left alone to die. When Disney redoes XMen to be less of a debacle let's equally hope for a clean reboot.

The time travel in the story is along the lines of Back to the Future.  Flash goes back in time and stops his mom from being killed.  That ripples through time, changing a ton of things.  One big one is that Bruce Wayne is killed instead of his parents and Thomas becomes Batman.  They can't do that here since Wayne has to be at least 20 years older than Flash in the movies.  So they'll just do the multiple universe thing instead.  There probably will only be one Batman at a time, so Affleck and Keaton won't both be in the same scene.

That picture makes it look like you lured that one in with a steak.  If you keep doing that I'll show up outside your window.

These pictures are making me very seriously consider putting a feeder outside my home office window.  A couple neighbors are drawing a ton of hummingbirds so that may be a good option.

Don't care about another Batman. Though I heard they are making some crazy one where a couple of old Batman's would appear.

That one isn't actually a Batman movie, it's the Flash.  The story they're adapting there (Flashpoint) does have some really fun Batman stuff in it, but they can't do it justice.  Apparently both Keaton and Affleck are signed on for that one.

Bullying a family? A seven year old? That is some crazy-*****.  I get they are probably snowflake products of helicopter parents who have never faced repercussions for their actions. They may also feel they had the "right" to do that because Trump is Hitler and all Trump supporters are Nazi scum. ?  I sincerely hope they are arrested. If someone will do this to a child, imagine what they will do to other adults (and they were being filmed and didn't hand back the hat and apologize!)

There wasn't a whole lot of concern for the kid from any of the women involved in that video.  Even the mother seemed a bit more interested in getting her viral moment instead of looking out for the kid.  Sending the kid after them instead of getting the hat yourself?  But hey, gotta keep filming.

CAR vs BOS going to 2OTs.

The one thing you can bank on when watching Boston - they are consistently a dirty team.  Always just on the edge.

Fortunately the next two games in Toronto ended in regulation.  After those first two, I was worried that they'd never finish any series being played up there.
