May Mel Brooks live to see it through to completion and release. Dude is 98 years old....
For now. His birthday is in two weeks. -

1.8% lol there's no way
Two single digit around 3% chances hit in the NHL lottery too. Now we’ll find out the same company runs both. -
Any Pearl Jam cover of the Who is always good. There’s honestly too many to name at this point.

NFL could fix this.
Instead of giving the team with the worst record the 1st pick, give the team with the most wins after they have been eliminated from playoff contention.
Gives teams incentive to win, and teams incentive to beat them.
So the team in the crappy division just gets screwed over. Even the worst teams in a division are still mathematically alive when the first place team is around or below 500. I’d love to see someone put together the draft order based on this system. I bet the results would be very erratic and nonsensical.2 minutes ago, Snappysnackcakes said:First coach hire behind an all-time type coach like BB is doomed, and they knew it.
My thoughts exactly. He was hired to fail but then the approach screwed them over in the end. I love it. -
Marie-Philip Poulin, who some considered to be the greatest female hockey player of all time, once jaywalked out in front of my car and I almost hit her.

I mean, it really isn't that hard. Hope these folks don't struggle as much with driving.
You mean the people who when driving down a residential road will give a bigger buffer to the parked car on the curb than the do to the oncoming car in the opposite lane? It's the same people, I'm sure.

I feel like it’s a more recent development, a new breed of the middle of the aisle people. They stand on the front corner of the cart and pull it, also taking up way too much space.

Where's the fabrication?
" The report found that Richie Incognito, John Jerry and Mike Pouncey harassed Martin, another offensive lineman and a member of the training staff. It described "sexually explicit remarks" about members of his family and said that "at times [Martin was] ridiculed with racial insults and other offensive comments."
"His teammates called him names and said racist things to his face. They made misogynistic comments. On the spectrum of behavior in football locker rooms, it was extreme, he said."
"He said most people, especially those who didn't play the game, might think what happened to him was bullying. But men who sweat and grunt and bang heads for a living often act a certain way when they are around each other."
"I should have stood up to it more," he said. "I should have been like, 'Look, this is wrong.'"
All he's saying now is that he wished he had handled it differently.
Incognito did these things. The article doesn't exonerate him in any way.
I honestly don’t care one way or the other about this. But we do need to remember that this Wells report was paid for by the same organization where the only thing that came out of investigating Dan Snyder for being Dan Snyder was the blackballing of a guy who coached a completely different team. Their reports say whatever the NFL wants them to say.-

What else did the Bills get with the 15 times they traded down that pick last year?

1) Spot needed to be challenged.
2) QB sneak. Twice in a row if needed.
You can’t challenge a spot unless it’s a potential first down or scoring play. -
The second I saw him wearing that neck warmer thing, I knew the Bills were winning this game.

Myself personally, the Guardian cap and current top helmet makers need to come together and build a more trimmed down version. I'm not sure the same amount of interior protection is needed when more is provided on the exterior of the helmet. (speculation)
Make it look good and not add extra weight players will wear it IMO.
oh great, you’re removing interior padding now. Fortunately we’ll never see just how bad of an idea that is.-

They burned an extra minute of clock and Denver’s last two timeouts thanks to that penalty. The game was over anyway, but under the right circumstances, a play like that could be absolutely brilliant.

Maybe Diggs has been hanging around a lot of 7 foot tall people lately.

I really don’t think any change is needed, but it could look pretty cool if they just projected some light up from the goal post. That makes seeing it that much easier for the guys below the posts.
With this and hockey, I’m can see why they might not want to put any ringing in there that could potentially change how a ball/puck bounces off of it.

On Spencer Shrader - He was a UDFA from Notre Dame. He was only 15 of 22 (68.2%) his final year there.
For the Jets - Against Houston he made 3 of 3 XPs, no FG attempts. Against Arizona he made 2 of 2 FGs, from 25 yards and 45 yards.
I can’t root against this kid.-

The refs are directly below the goal posts. It’s essentially impossible to get that call wrong. They have a much better view than that camera angle.
Now if only they had a better view of roughing the passer calls.

I agree that legally, they dont have to de-escalate, but that is what they are trained to, and expected to, do.
Hill put his window up since he was embarrassed, and as a celebrity, didn't want people taking pictures of him.
If this was Green Bag or Philly, the police would have given him an escort once they recognized his status as a player.
I’m not sure why people buy this idea that he rolled up the window to hide his identity. It seems pretty clear to me that’s it’s an FU to the cops.9 minutes ago, Simon said:I don't know which guy was Campbell and which guy was Smith, but one of the officers who was interacting with Campbell/Smith in front of Hill's vehicle was stepping on another officer's toes and 100% escalating the situation from what I saw.
I saw video of Campbell. He’s the one who left his car in the middle of the lane and then approached the cops. It cuts off shortly after the initial cop starts demanding his license. Maybe you saw more, I don’t know. I have no issue with what I saw there.
-Large man abandons car and approaches the scene.
-They order him back to the car and then demand identification.
Like I said, I have no issue there. He left his car in the middle of the road and approached a scene. He’s very lucky he didn’t wind up in cuffs too.

From what I have heard, the department has already put the officer on administrative assignment. That part of the investigation has already started.
I also read that Hill was issued two citations. That will end up in court if not plead out.
Hill can also sue the police if he believes his rights were violated.
I don't think this is over by any means.
The citations will go away after a little wink-wink-nod-nod-hey I think you dropped $20,000 over there. Jill won’t be suing anyone. Neither side is going to want the negative attention it would bring. -

I agree this was a pissing match between Hill and the officers. One the officers will almost always win.
Some officers are badge heavy. These appear to be this type. Whether they acted within the "range of reasonableness" will be up to the courts and/the department, if it gets that far. I believe officers like this damage the credibility of police everywhere, but they don't often lose in court.
The only court this will ever see is the court of public opinion. It’s already shown in here that Hill lied with his initial statements. Will the people care? -

If the cop asks you to exit a vehicle you must do so. Period. Penn v Mimms.
Hill doesn’t have to roll down window. But he must exit if commanded to do so. If not he can be arrested and removed forcefully. Period.
cop may be fired for his tone, lack of patience, and attitude. But legally he was within his rights to do what he did. If Hill did in fact refuse to exit.
There were three cops near Hill’s door. The one doing all the talking is not the one that pulled him out. I’m not so sure that people even realize that. -

I see kids riding these things on the road all the time with no regard for traffic laws. They’re a problem. It’s a little different but a couple months back I was at the gas station and some kids had taken their quad over there to grab some food. A cop happened to pull in for some gas of his own and then hilarity ensued. I wish I could have stuck around to see when the parents showed up.
