Another fantastic episode. The season finale is setting up to be awesome. I gave up trying to predict Gilligan and Co. a long time ago, I just know I’m gonna enjoy whatever he delivers.

I was wondering why no one had commented yet.  That whole final scene had me on the edge of my chair.  Kim deserves an emmy for that scene alone.  She's so damn good in the show lately, which is why I've recently found myself hoping she's still alive in the Breaking Bad universe.

edit: And on another note, my wife never bothered to start this show even though she loved Breaking Bad.  So we started the series from the beginning last night.  I've forgotten most of it at this point, so it was interesting to see how far they've all come since that first episode (and *****, I want more Tuco!).

exactly.  the only dead we saw with a gun were soldiers

    or wearing hunting camouflage ;)  ;)  :)

Ha, that's a different angle I wasn't even thinking of.  If you're a whisperer and you suddenly decide to fire a gun in the middle of your horde, that's not ending too well for you.

The attached WGR Instigator link is about 20 minutes long. Chris Taylor, the Amerks coach, talks about players such as Mittelstadt, Lazar and Tage from a development standpoint. His comments about Mittelstadt were encouraging. He laments the necessity to shut down the league because he felt that not only did those cancelled games hurt the development of players but also hurt the franchise's ability to know exactly where the players were in their development status to make the NHL jump.

Any quick summary on the comments about Tage?  I have a hard time picturing there being much to that conversation since he basically lost the entire season.

Maggie May return by “season’s” end

They showed it on sunday night.  They knew they had to throw a big one out there thanks to the delay in the finale.  So there's no surprise to her showing up at this point.

That's nothing new, people have been doing that since self checkouts started being installed in stores.

And they've also gone the fake label route even with real cashiers.

  6. The wife and I went to Costco this morning at around 9:30.  If you're able to do it, weekdays are by far the best.  There were a decent number of people, but we may as well have had the place to ourselves.  I never thought I'd see the day where I could walk right up to a cash register in that store.

  7. I kind of wish they had pulled the plug on the last 3 or 4 episodes.  It's a bit cruel to leave us hanging at this point.  I'm sure they didn't out at the right point, but I'd rather get 3 or 4 episodes in a row once they are able to edit up the finale.  Still, they managed to throw a couple big conversation pieces out there with the opening to the finale, which they showed on Talking Dead last night.

@SlimShady'sSpaceForce, have we actually seen them fire the guns at all?  I kind of wonder if they just hold them for the intimidation factor but don't actually have any ammo.

I suspect it wouldn’t impact their quality much at all. They produced some seasons of BB under the constant threat of non renewal by AMC and actually had to write several different plots and endings as a result. They created some great TV under intense tight time constraints. I think that pressure served them well.

I never watched Breaking Bad live, but I thought they had a similar schedule, at least near the end, where they had more than a year off between seasons.  Am I just mixing up the last season being split in half?

It is amazing. But I’m not surprised in the least given Gilligan, his writers, directors, cinematographers, etc. etc., could complete each other’s sentences after their years of perfecting Breaking Bad.

I wonder how different it would be if they weren't allowed to take their time to make each season.  They're not rushing out new episodes like most non-streaming shows.

So, that's even if it's cancelled?  I know the Sabres and everybody are holding everybody's money because the season is "on pause" - not cancelled.  Same with Stones tour - postponed, so they're keeping the money.  Ticketmaster that is.

And when they are cancelled, wouldn't the refunds go to the original ticket holder as opposed to someone further down the chain on a stubhub purchase?

there has to be a back story.  Like why he was so reclusive when he first met Alpha.   Something was up that some may want answers to.

    Not me particularly

The only back story I'd be happy with would be if he was the guy who played Opie on Sons of Anarchy.  Unfortunately, that ship has sailed.

No.  I've been surprised by the comments saying it's been boring.  I just caught up on it and think it's better than ever.  I find the relationship between Jimmy and Kim to be more interesting than the Nacho/Gus/Mike story line.  They've managed to make Kim the most interesting and conflicted character on the show at this point.  Although, Gus being a ruthless villain in the guise of a reserved small business owner has been fun to watch too.

The show is like watching an interesting tragedy because you know for the most part that Kim will no longer be in "Saul's" life in Breaking Bad and that Saul will eventually get in too deep with the underworld that he's going to have to go on the run.  How will the Kim/Jimmy relationship end?  What happens to Nacho and his father?

Kim is good, but I think a big part of the interest there is that everyone is waiting to see how she falls off the map.  You might get that same thing with Nacho and Lalo, but they're nowhere near as important to the show.  She's probably the 2nd biggest character on the show.
