  1. I've already praised McD and the coaching staff for yesterday's performance, but this isnt all true. He's struggled mightily against good AND bad QBs. Especially looking at last season as DC when we got beat by the likes of Trevor Lawrence, and even guys like Easton Stick had their best day against us. Zach WIlson beat us a couple of times while on the Jets. He lost to Mac Jones too. A struggling Broncos Russell Wilson has his best day against us last year. When McD was DC we did too much "bend but (hopefully) dont break" and rely on Josh to be better than the other team. That said, great win yesterday, and great job by the coaches. They've been on a roll and hopefully are figuring it out just at the right time. What are you watching because ESPN has been slobbering Josh for almost 12 hours straight? And Greeny is about to get on GetUp! and do the same.
  2. Props to McD and staff. They had the guys hyped and ready to play in all 3 phases from whistle to whistle. Babich was able to dial up pressure all game. And Brady had the Offense clicking. Great execution by the players all around (Bass, I have my eye on you). Also good to see VanDenmark hold his own and not miss a beat.
  3. You need both. A talented QB AND a competent coach. There are plenty of examples of talented QBs being ruined by bad coaching, and plenty of examples of competent coaching getting canned due to bad QB play. Daboll has proven numerous times he can win when he has a good QB. Not everyone can. And let's not even think about what might have been had we been stuck with Rick Dennison at OC for multiple seasons after 2017. Schoen/Daboll's big mistake was sticking with Jones after they made the playoffs their first year. Should have continued the plan to blow it all up and make it their own, like McBeane did in Buffalo in 2018.
  4. Looks like the infamous Schoen quote is making the rounds again after another Barkley performance... Dead Man Walking.
  5. That is exactly why every team passed on him, and also why the Pats doubled down and took Hernandez 2 rounds later.
  6. Thats fine. You guys can like/love him all you want. No one is telling you not to. Just like you likely wont change other fan(atics) minds about the big dummy.
  7. No one here is arguing how good he was on the field. Hall of Fame worthy and probably the best ever. But how can he be "Buffalonian through and through" when he never reps Buffalo? Never once in his career mentioned "It's always tough beating the Bills this badly since I grew up loving them" and instead converted his entire (semi high profile) family to a bunch of Pats fans? The only time I've ever seen him connected to anything Buffalo was when the KanJam folks paid him big money to make a 1 second appearance in one of their ads. He could easily put his name on any type of fundraiser and help bring in a lot more money than that.
  8. For a guy with his amount of earnings and celebrity, that is nothing. That's like me donating $6 and $5. Not impressed.
  9. ***** Gronk. The first slap in the face was how for his first few years in the league he never claimed to be from Buffalo, but instead claimed he was from Pittsburgh since that is where he finished High School. Then all those years he cooked the Bills as a Pat. Which I totally understand is his job, but I can hate him for that just like I do Tom Brady and Julian Edelman. The cheap shot on Tre which he has never really been sorry for is just the cherry on top. Not even mentioning that he's never done anything for the Buffalo/WNY community even in retirement. Not a fan. Never will be.
  10. Yes, it was on Hard Knocks. One sec, I'm sure we can google a quote... edit: here it is https://bleacherreport.com/articles/10127118-giants-gm-on-saquon-barkley-daniel-jones-isnt-making-40m-to-hand-off-to-12m-rb "You're paying the guy $40 million. It's not to hand the ball off to a $12 million back," Schoen said. I was close
  11. Doesnt matter what the owner wanted on the Jones deal. The real mistake was Schoen being so bent on building around him this offseason instead of realizing what they actually had and starting to pivot away. They have an out after this season on that contract. Anyone/everyone knew this should be Jones' last year. Should have re-signed Barkley. Should have traded down in this draft and stockpiled picks in 2025 draft. Then, even if you are paying a RB big money, you get a QB on a rookie deal to offset it. The second Schoen said "I'm not paying a QB $45M to hand off to a $13M RB" and meant that to justify why they let Barkley walk, I knew he was toast. They had it opposite.
  12. I think Beane gets it done. He drafted Elam in the 1st that same year so there would have been some sort of long term plan to pay a guy top CB money. The only difference is the money that could have been Elam's will be going to Benford. And we'll have the cap room freeing up over the next couple of years. Given Beane's track record, I'd be most surprised if we didnt get a new deal done.
  13. As of right now, Yes they are wrecking him. To no one's surprise. It's the Bears. Shouldve fired the entire staff before the draft and let a new HC and GM have a crack. Still wouldve picked Caleb but it wouldve given him stability in coaching. Now he's in the Browns model where he'll deal with a new HC and/or OC every year for 4 years until he leaves and goes somewhere else.
  14. But doesnt tell me anything I didnt already know either
  15. Exactly. I think it's more that "If Mack is getting so involved, we have other problems to deal with". Mack doesnt cause Josh's lower passer rating. Whatever is bringing down Josh is also causing more targets to Mack. Which I assume would be the other team's game plan.
  16. Yesterday morning around 9am, Greeny reported on GetUp! that the Bills were favored by 2.5. Sunday night I saw Bills -1. Never saw Chiefs favored, but Im not looking that hard.
  17. I owe Mack a small apology. I thought he was just going to be another Trent Sherfield, and we were going to be in serious trouble if he got any real playing time, but he's been much better than that when called upon.
  18. For what it's worth, one of the top threads on Gang Green right now is a long thread about Sauce, and most Jets fans wanting to let him walk when his contract is up. Classic.
  19. I didnt look through the thread too much. Is anyone talking about how the Bears are ruining yet another QB? Big oof losing to the 3rd QB taken...
  20. Just checked it out and they are already to the point they are talking about letting Sauce Gardner walk since there's no point in keeping him when the team sucks so bad. Warms my heart. LOL
  21. Right. I think there are a couple other threads on it, but a lot depends on how Sunday goes with the Chiefs. We win and we stay in the hunt for #1. We lose, and we can kick it into cruise control and focus on keeping people healthy for the playoffs. Not that I think Josh, McD, and the boys would dial it back that much. I'm sure they'll try to win every game possible at least until that last week. But with the history of that turf in Detroit, I'm good with throwing in the Practice Squad if we're in that position.
  22. There is no playoff doom with the current state of the rest of the division. Even if we lose the next 4 in a row, we win the 2 Pats and the Jets game and Div is still ours. Heck, it might be ours during those 4 losses! I think the biggest issue the team will face will be when do we start resting guys without it being too much time off.
  23. Do they tho? Do they? 🤔
  24. Lets gooooooo How much electricity does Bank of America, Wells Fargo, HSBC, JPMorgan, Chase, CCB, ICBC, etc all use to power data centers, servers, office buildings, branches, etc? edit: AI answer: According to available data, the world's largest banks collectively use around 258.85 terawatt-hours (TWh) of electricity per year, with the majority of this energy consumption coming from their data centers
