Yeah, I dont like lumping Moss in with the other problem children. But even without Moss, the Pats still signed OchoCinco and Josh Gordon. So the overall point that they dont shy away from WRs with issues still stands. -

All this means is AB is on reddit because that quote was all the rage the last couple of weeks -
Would you change team name if you had the power?

Bullets and Braves!?!?! Dude, it's 2019. Not sure if you were being facetious, but I actually really like that idea. -

Rosenhaus has made and is still making (endorsements) plenty of money off of AB. Even if he doesnt get paid from the Raiders deal, he'll chalk it up as cost of doing business and move on to AB's next deal, endorsement, tv contract. -

Agreed. I dont think he wants to play anymore. But that wont stop a team from signing him. -

Did you see their Quarterback and their offense? AB doesnt play defense. No way he puts his career in the hands of Trubisky. -

He missed too many to qualify for his $1M bonus. So he has gotten $0.00 from the Raiders so far. -

Then between our two posts, and considering this is ultimately up to AB on where he wants to play... and I dont see him wanting to play in Chicago or Detroit... I'm guessing Dallas or 49ers. -

I could see anyone in the NFC West signing him. Seattle Rams 49ers Cardinals In that order of likelihood -

I dont think his Raiders contract matters anymore? He signs a brand new deal with a new team. Could be a 1 year "show me" deal. Could be anything. They could knock something out quick tonight, to get him on the team, and also get him a little bit of money immediately. Then even renegotiate in the near future. He doesnt need to be that deep into the playbook to already know some basics. Plus, he doesnt even need to play. Would just be a head game against the Steelers to have him there. I dont think they do it in time for Sunday night. But I could see him end up in New England. -

Pats open up against the Steelers, and I fully expect AB to be lined up against his old team. -
I think you'll find that it is very rare for GMs to take a personable approach with players. That is the Head Coach's job. The Head Coach leads the team and has to be in with the players. The GM thinks about what's best for the franchise, cuts guys, and negotiates contracts. They deal with Agents more than Players. It's better to stay at arm's length and all about business. Good cop/Bad cop. Mom/Dad.

I wont name names, but the first person who made it on air after the Pegulas announced they were buying the team and that it would stay in Buffalo was from this board. And it was one of the most embarrassing calls I've ever heard. They ended up hanging up on him and calling him stupid. So yeah, I stand by my post.
