Flores: Tua benched, not hurt
DrDawkinstein replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Neither of those negate the fact that he was a slinger over a game manager. Just look at the Leaders in the box scores for the 2019 season. Against Duke Passing: Tua Tagovailoa 26-31, 336 yards, 4 TDs Rushing: Jerome Ford 10 carries, 64 yards, 1 TD Against South Carolina - 495 passing yards to 76 rushing yards Against Ole Miss - Tua Tagovailoa 26-36, 418 yards, 6 TDs, vs 155 rushing yards. etc, etc Sure, they had a good run game. But really only used it to burn the clock after Tua's passing attack put them up 40 points at halftime. -
Trump's Legal Machine Grinds to a Halt

Get rid of the Electoral College, make everyone's vote equal, and give us Ranked Choice Voting, and then Trump's influence against our democracy wont matter. -
Tom Brady is a B-WORD! Brandt with the good point: "If Baker Mayfield or Cam Newton pulled that, they would be annihilated in the opening segment of every radio show and every tv show in the world"

Flores: Tua benched, not hurt
DrDawkinstein replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Tua was the OPPOSITE of the classic Bama game manager who just needed to hand off and rely on the defense. Tua was throwing for 400yards a game and not even playing the 4th quarter! He is not a tentative game manager. Never was. -
This. Very much, this. I'm reminded of one of my favorite quotes. By Neil Gaiman/Terry Pratchett in Good Omens: “It may help to understand human affairs to be clear that most of the great triumphs and tragedies of history are caused, not by people being fundamentally good or fundamentally bad, but by people being fundamentally people.”

Ryan Fitzpatrick: Hall of Famer? or First Ballot HoFer?

I know, it's just in fun. But I do believe he is as qualified as some others. Again, none of this stuff matters, so why not? -
Shouldn’t Diggs be in the MVP race?
DrDawkinstein replied to C.Biscuit97's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think Diggs should be discussed given what he has brought to this team. And I wont have the Fit debate with you here. This isnt the thread for it, or for me to point out it is the Hall of FAME, not Hall of Stats or Hall of Wins. It's just a marketing tool for the NFL. But I'm happy to discuss it further here: -

Different positions have different values. So when talking about the Most Valuable Player, it's always going to start with the most valuable position. It's easy to give it to other positions when talking about just one game (Super Bowl MVP for example), but when you are looking at an entire season, it's going to default to the main position. -

I'll join this campaign, if you join my "Fitz for Hall of Fame" campaign. Both should happen, but probably wont. -

Good thought, but we all know there's no way a WR is gonna get it. -
Comcast prepares to screw over millions with data caps.
DrDawkinstein replied to TBBills's topic in Off the Wall
You'd be surprised how fast that goes nowadays with just some regular Netflix streaming for a family of four. Netflix HD streams at about 3GB/hour. To hit 1.2TB, that is 400 hours of streaming each month. Sounds like a lot for you and I as individuals, but for a family it goes fast. And that isnt counting any other internet activity besides streaming Netflix. -
Comcast prepares to screw over millions with data caps.
DrDawkinstein replied to TBBills's topic in Off the Wall
Im on Comcast, but in Georgia, so for some reason I'm safe? Hadnt had a problem with it previously when we had data caps (they only temporarily lifted them for COVID relief). The good news is, we will have an all new FCC soon that will look out for the consumer and not the large corporation. So I'm expecting net neutrality and data caps to be addressed. -
Flores: Tua benched, not hurt
DrDawkinstein replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Yeah, up until recently I had been real worried about Flores and the great job he was doing in Miami. But watching him (and ownership) screw up with Tua makes me feel a bit better. haha -

I'm a big SEC homer and specifically Bama fan so I already have a lot of love for Tua. But I was never really sold on him as an NFL QB, especially not after his injuries. We'll see. My comments are more having fun with schadenfreude and the Dolphins than the specific QBs. And even if Tua shows promise, I believe the Dolphins franchise will ruin him. They are already on track to blow it with this "start him-pull him" nonsense. edit: wrt "Not one human being on the planet would have drafted Herbert over Tua"... I dunno. Beane picked Allen over some much higher thought of prospects. I bet some teams in the league had Herbert ratd higher. -
I fully expect him to play again. Just mentioned that extreme result because it IS a possibility when you get that deep into brain injuries, and wanted to provide proper perspective and framework for McD's comments, or lack thereof, on the subject. It's not simply because they don't like his on-field play. He is one bad hit from his career ending.

Just wanted to again note that Miami could have had Herbet! lol I also dont believe Trevor Lawrence is as great as some folks think. I've watched almost all his games and he just doesnt over-impress me like some other prospects have (Luck, Newton, Burrow, for examples). -
They got announced like that every game, right before the team announcements.

I appreciate your willingness to have an open and honest discussion, but man, with all due respect, your use of talking point boogeyman labels makes it difficult (impossible) to seriously engage you. Using "socialism" and "deep state" and "globalist" and "NWO"... all the classic dog whistles and misnomers... is more an indication that you are more steeped in false and extreme conspiracy theories meant to rile than you are interested in reality. Not trying to come down hard on you, but want to point this stuff out. Coming in with this is basically a non-starter to a conversation since it isnt worth the large effort it will take to debunk this stuff just to get you to a point where we are talking about the same reality and not debating from some fantasy land that the propaganda machine has indoctrinated into you. You want the country to come together, but you arent even in the same building. I sincerely hope you find the truth soon enough. Go Bills.

GA voting fraud exposed...
DrDawkinstein replied to WideNine's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Roger Stone's group (S-PAC), the Committee for American Sovereignty, is now threatening the GOP that "if Trump goes down, so does their control of the Senate". They have created a new website to encourage Trump supporters to write-in Trump's name in the Senate race in order to "send a message". https://www.writeintrumpforgeorgiasenate.com/ (Spoiler Alert: There is no space for write-ins on the runoff ballots)
