As much as I would like to upgrade the position with a more instinctual player, I'm not sure that Smith could play in the pass game like Edmunds does. Smith seems to be more of a "classic" MLB thumper. Whereas we are looking for the next Luke Kuechley.

Also, breaking deposits up into smaller amounts to try to avoid that reporting is called Structuring, and will get someone caught quicker and in more trouble than if they just deposited the whole thing at once.

Saints rookie Trevor Penning was kicked out of practice for starting fights THREE straight days. This behavior of "going hard" on every drill snap was evident at Senior Bowl practices too. IMO, this is much different than the small scuffles we've seen at Bills camp where 1. Josh was setting a tone and 2. Neal/Austin are fighting for roster spots on a stacked, developed team. The Saints are just trying to get their feet under them, and a rookie starting fights everyday is going to derail and distract. Not that time for this nonsense.

I mean, not really. He's always been a DE/Rush OLB. Dropping him back into coverage is the more along the idea as dropping Hughes or Mario back into coverage. He's just better at it. Not as many as fans with agendas like to believe. Plus, when you balance out cost of living compared to other "low tax" areas, and even factor in other types of taxes, it usually all washes out with minimal difference. I would agree that the weather plays into it some. Even more so than taxes. And its certainly not great that Buffalo gets the worse weather AND perceived higher taxes.

I dont care if Bernard is 5'10" if he is showing instincts and putting himself in position to make plays instead of always being 2 steps behind. Size and speed are nice. But making plays is what really matters.

I voted Yes, because if that is what the Bills decide then I'm fine with. McD, Dorsey, and Beane see him everyday in practice. If they thought there was no need for him to get reps at the risk of injury, then I trust that decision and wouldnt complain or lose any sleep. Fine by me. The only score that matters in the preseason is the number of players that end up on the injury report.
