  1. If it weren't for Mike Ramsey, I would flame you big time.
  2. You beat me by half a second. Only if you try to Tune-a-fish.
  3. The Musical!! Hakuna Retatta! What a wonderful phrase Hakuna Retatta! Ain't no passing craze It means crap cookin' for the rest of your days It's our problem-free philosophy Hakuna Retatta!
  4. Just a stab.(i know, wrong word) but I am betting The Real is a homegrown guy.
  5. Hmmm, that would make for an interesting wake? Remember when Uncle Silver got fed to cheetas. I think I prefer the old Irish wakes, these seem a thing of the past now. My family it used to be a three day party right in the house or funeral home. I like this idea too. I don't think baseball players would dare strike over steriod testing, but if they do we can all never watch a major league game again in good conscience.
  6. I never thought to call ahead to the restaurant to arrange it. I think I will next time. I trust my ability to find a good wine more than a restaurant manager, WNY wine menus are pretty lame. BTW, anyone who goes to Premiere in Orchard Park ask for Eric. Nice young man who usually doesn't miss with $12-$18 recommendations.
  7. 1. I think baseball owners should lock players out when their CBA expires until they get a comprehensive steriod agreement that will clean up the game with severe penalties. 2. I am thinking of camping out at Bush's ranch once this Sheehan thing is over until Bush explains to me why their must be NFL blackouts. (I know it isn't rational, but I demand terms) 3. I am never sure what to say at funerals so I just say, "I am really sorry," and feel stupid. There should be a specific word for this emotion that sounds german. 4. Good wine is a superior drink with a good meal. The problem is that most resturants serve very average wine. Resturants in America should adopt the Austrailian practice of allowing customers to bring a good bottle a wine to consume with their dinner and charging a small corkage fee for opening the bottle and clean glasses. If they did this I would eat out more. 5. I've said this before, but Sabres who are Amerks veterans should have a small Amerks patch on their uniform in solidarity with Rochester and fans that have supported them with both teams.
  8. Do you have a link for that? In her own words she said she and her husband were always in political agreement, but he didn't agree with her devoting her life to activism.
  9. Half the fun was watching BF argue with someone who went to culinary school and was a professional chef.
  10. Not the way I would have put it, but, it is interesting to watch the political right squirm when anyone withholds their consent. (are they really so insecure in their beliefs that this loony little lady is such a threat)
  11. I am not defending her. I don't think Bush should meet with her. But I also doubt that that she is either brainwashed or being manipulated. I don't think she is very coherent about what she wants. But I do think if she stopped tomorrow, their will be somebody to replace her. This war has not been popular from the beginning.
  12. It is a gift and we recognize it as such.
  13. This is an observation, but you do realize this is a pacifist movement?
  14. He was in charge of U.N. inspections, but now is in charge of inspecting the bills.
  15. Wait a minute, did you just compare Democratic recruiting techniques to those of AQ?
  16. I have liked MM. The guy had enough self-assurance to go out and get competent Coaches, unlike GW. I think two things from last year were telling: the six wins in a row after the bad start, and 3rd quarter play, the first half is usually game planning, the 3rd quarter is usually adjusting. I think game planning can improve, but you can't argue with what happened last year in the 3rd quarter.
  17. Do you really think that members of our military are overly sensitive to this kind of stuff? I mean, anytime that anyone speaks out against this stuff, do you really imagine it is a blow to their morale? The people I have known in the military rarely seem overly sensitive to it, at least the ones I know. Forgive me for speculating aloud but the military people I respect do not seem to be swayed by partisan messages from the left or the right. I suggest this respectfully: to think that anything like this Cindy Sheehan thing is a terrible blow to morale drips with condescension for the military. I just don't believe that they are that fragile when It comes to this kind of stuff. Do you really think so?
  18. So when he makes a catch do we all give the long... DDDDDRRRRREEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW? or do we try to work something with Haddad?
  19. Daryll Lamonica and Ahmad Rashad did pretty well, but I think those were trades, not FA. Moses Malone did pretty well too.
  20. Okay. I always liked Lou, so I will join the Chorus. Haddad is the Lou Piccone this team needs.
  21. Production was about 6-12 catches a year. Effort was there. But I seem to recall Lou mostly in mop-up duty, with a rare third down appearence. He was usually good for 2 first downs a year and maybe had 6 or 7 career touchdowns over a decade. Don't get me wrong, I liked Lou, and so did most nightclub owners, but would you keep Josh Reed around for 6-12 catches a year?
