  1. There are a lot of whiners on the board. I think they have been spoiled and have developed a sense of entitlement since 2019. But I guess that is America in 2023. Good thing this generation will not have to fight Nazi Germany, or we likely would all be speaking German. The Greatest Generation--NOT.
  2. Sure, but each game is self=contained. For a team that has looked lost for 3 weeks, tonight was a step in the right direction. Worry about next week next week.
  3. Absolutely. Needed a win and got it. Style points mean nothing.
  4. They just needed a win. They got it. People, they are the worst,
  5. Line moving. Bills now 9/9.5 favorites. Hope the money is smart money!
  6. And it really all three phases playing sub-optimally that allows upsets like this. Missed FGs, missed tackles and sub-par offensive play most of the game will get you beat. Especially for the Bills, with all these primetime games and being viewed as a top team, they get the best from other teams.
  7. Again behind a pay wall, so no link. His analysis for the Pats game was pretty simple. The Pats had a brilliant defensive game plan that had Allen off schedule most of the game. Pats would consistently rush 5 or 6, and then play a soft zone behind to take away hot crossing routes. As they fell behind, it got worse as Allen failed to take some easy plays in an effort to get bigger--ultimately failed-- plays. And he got flustered by lots of hits. Notwithstanding all that, the Bills were still able to take the lead with less than 2 minutes left, when there was an utter fail by the Bills defense. On the first Pats play on their final drive, he shows that the lineman down field penalty/non- penalty was a close call, as Andrews was around a yard plus downfield. Over a yard is a penalty, but that seems to be why they picked up the flag. Bottom line is that the Pats defensive scheme was the main driver here. It was not the O-line as much as the scheme that left more pass rushers than blockers. Combined with a failure to be able to run consistently and losing the turnover battle, pretty much a recipe for a loss on the road. Not much to say here except the Bills offense has to have its stuff together early, particularly on the offensive side mentally. It is confounding, but the Bills need to right the ship, and in a hurry.
  8. You are right. But with four of our best defenders out, not surprising. Basically we need the offense to be exceptional at this point. Mac Jones was a blind squirrel on Sunday, he finally found a nut. It won't last. I'd rather be the Bills than the Pats, cause that team sucks.
  9. Me either. Despite the futility, I like being a Bills fan.
  10. It's horrible when you have absolutely no control or input into something that matters a great deal to you. The life of a Bills fan.
  11. Not good apparently
  12. So depressed
  13. it's over. Defense is in shambles. To come back and then the defense plays like that? It's over
  14. a ***** embarasment. Back to the drought
  15. What else can you do?
  16. It is against the spread.
  17. It's some guy named Marc Lawrence in Las Vegas. Basic point is Bills are 1-7-1 in last 9 years in week 7, and this is week 7. Meaningful.
  18. And because so very many people said he was going to be a bust when drafted. Few people want to admit they made a mistake, so they pounce on everything he does to sustain their initial incorrect opinion.
  19. Nah, rain in AM, cloudy afternoon. 57 and 13 MPH winds. Paradise.
  20. That statement does not make walking around sense. You have no idea what the lay of the land will be in January. Your statement assumes the Bills will be 10-7 and eliminated in round 1 of the playoffs. But that is just your supposition, nothing more. And asking people if they are happy with your pessimistic supposition is just dumb.
  21. True dat.
  22. Agree. People seem to think it is automatic for an offense/athlete to always bring its "A" game and score 48 points like against Miami. Sports don't work that way. You don't always have your A game, and winning with your C game is the mark of a great athlete-- like great pitchers in baseball.
