I am starting to think they may trade Carter for a late round pick and use that roster spot for shavers. other than being a 3rd round pick last year Carter has shown nothing. They don’t have the need as they will already have 4 DT plus get ogunjobi after first 6 games. He will likely just be inactive every week and shavers provides more. A team that like Carter last year might be willing to throw a 6th or 7th for him to see if he can fill out their depth chart

If anything they would have reduced his number this year. the bills will free up space at cutdown day to get by this season. Cutting either tribusky or white along with some other likely vets that will get cut (Forrest, hamler, Virgil, green(OL), Dane Jackson will free up enough cap once it’s based on the full roster (53) to be 2-3 million under the cap. There also guys like Dawkins who can be restructured to free up 9 million or can be extended as well. As far a next year goes we can free up 40-50 million pretty easily by restructuring guys like, Allen, Dawkins, Knox, brown, Oliver and cutting Curtis Samuel

Not happening Just some of the reasons: -The bills have had their most successful run in 30 years. -The culture he established -Players trust and like him -He has a good relationship with the coach/GM -who could you hire that is proven they are better. Firing McDermott would be like the eagles firing Andy Reid. McDermott = Mike Tomlin as long as he wins consistently and doesn’t lose the locker room he will be the coach of the bills

Not claiming this is 100 percent true but heard from someone who works for bills that opening game is Sunday night vs ravens but that is the only game that bills org is aware of at this point
