  1. And they just thought of resigning Evans last night then? Then again, on the other hand our front office is so on top of things, right?
  2. And don't kid yourself, Ralph's wealthy beyond reason too. He as well can feel free to open his books anytime. My guess is that the reason he doesn't is because our jaws would drop to the floor. He's probably on the low end in comparison to the other teams, but well off otherwise.
  3. At this point it's all about greed on both sides. This isn't the '80s in the NFL anymore. There's far more than enough money to go around and going around in the NFL. I don't feel sorry for anyone on either side of this anymore. They're all rich. Many of the players would have $9.00/hour jobs washing dishes if they didn't get millions annuallly to play football. They should be grateful that they aren't making $20K/yr. As to the owners, they fly around the country in their suits watching the games from their suites and are loaded to the extent that they don't even share their team's finances probably because they're so astronomically greater than we even think.
  4. And what, you think that the NFL is beating down the door to get the Bills on nationally televised games or something? We've all been hoping that the Bills kick some a$$ every year, but what happens? Big talk, lotsa hope, then nothing. We don't kick a$$, we beat sh!TTy teams and finish close to but not quite .500 really giving the league reasons to put us in the national spot light. It's a good thing that we haven't been in the AFC South over the past few years or we wouldn't have won as many games as we did.
  5. You can only blame the team and those that run it for the mess and situations it is in. Players come here for money only anymore.
  6. That actually gets even more impressive when you consider that Smith made the Pro Bowl in 11 of his first 14 seasons. His last five were merely stringing out trying to chase White's sack record. Smith didn't do much in his last few seasons. Otherwise his totals are in blue parenthesis. That's ridiculously more impressive than Long's.
  7. I'm not sure that whomever they asked to vote knew that Smith was in a 3-4. Otherwise what is one to make of that. Smith should be second after LT bar none.
  8. Well as of now they are spot on. The draft is less than four weeks away now. It's not as if Losman is some kind of proven superstar in the making that the Bills have decided they don't need. He's proven nothing. Why is any team gonna risk much of a draft pick on a QB that may never do anything and has been "replaced" by a rookie who also hasn't proven anything? Put yourself in their shoes, what would you trade for Losman? I wouldn't give a 5th or better for him.
  9. As to a window into the past, "fleeing to Canada" could have been applied entirely differently later in modern day America regarding OJ too.
  10. Funny thing is that if this hadn't made the news, we might have drafted him, and everyone would have applauded the same move that they now express concerns over while giving props to our front office.
  11. Does it matter? How come it matters? Because it doesn't seem to when we get a few extra wins under similar circumstances for our opponents, but when it happens to us all of a sudden it's unfair and plays a role.
  12. He's probably undergoing a very intricate medical procedure trying to surgically dislodge his nose from the sphincter of Mortensen or one of the other ESPN talking heads.
  13. He's probably wondering when the next time is that he's going to involuntarily fall asleep.
  14. While he's great at special teams that does not always translate to being good on defense. If he were that good, there'd have been talk about his starting. I've always thought he's had tremendous potential and thought that he should have been given a starting nod over Posey as well, but for whatever reasons, perhaps coaching incompetence included, he hasn't. That being said, special teams is as important as O or D.
  15. Agree with your points, but let's be real here, the Colts also got help in winning the Super Bowl by playing one of the weakest teams ever to make it there. The Bear D was overrated and nowhere near tops in spite of their statistical accolades against a schedule of teams with scrub offenses. Their offense under Grossman was only effective against teams with little or no D.
  16. Does it dismiss the fact that we were stupid enough to take the risk?
  17. No, you've got it all wrong. Ralph, Marv, and Dick are all geniuses. They only have the interest of the fans in mind. :puke:
  18. I'm curious what you said to all of Donahoe's moves.
  19. Henry's gonna have his best season ever this year reminding us of the mistake we made in ditching him for McBabee.
  20. http://www.bangcartoon.com./2006/monkey.htm This one was so much more hysterical!!!
  21. Has anyone challenged the teams he's been on? Jax: 7-9, 6-10, 6-10, 5-11, 9-7 Miami: 9-7 Bills: 7-9 Great benchmarks there. His statements would have a little bit more meaning if he'd played for the Pats, Colts, and Eagles.
  22. Uh, because they care. Just a quick guess. Funny, at the end of the season if all of their fears are accurate, then what will you say about yourself and those that can't see reality clearly enough that they think that Levy is the best GM to ever grace the NFL and that Jauron is next in line for the Hall of Fame? That you're a gullible stooge and team mouthpiece, or what?
  23. The lesson is never trust management. Always base their value on what the reality of their decisions are, not on what they say. Of course that's very difficult for most of the homers around here who's lives revolve around football.
  24. I just love statements like this. You must be like Kevin Bacon in Animal House screaming "remain calm, all's well."
