  1. Allen reminds me of Rookie Year Goff. I'm willing to give him some time and hope we get some talent around him.
  2. Ok, now you are just straight up trolling/crusading. Just made my "ignore" list.
  3. He hasn't made it through a preseason without an injury. Last year hamstring, this year ribs. What makes you think he can play a whole NFL season? Even if you go back to his Senior year in college, his play was limited by.......you guessed it......injuries.
  4. The best ability is availability. Reilly seems to get hurt too easily.
  5. Silly question. What is stopping the Buffalo Bills from hiring a retired QB on to the coaching staff to serve as a mentor to Josh Allen? Kerry Collins? Trent Green? Carson Palmer? I'm baffled as to why the Buffalo Bills have not yet signed a veteran QB but barring that, is there any benefit to having a crusty old guy on the sidelines who has "been there and done that" who can mentor Allen between plays?
  6. Allen makes completions, 2 good scrambles. Leads touchdown drive. Beuerlein complains about him the entire series. Lol.
  7. Beuerein is really taking it Allen with all of shoulda coulda woulda BS. Easy to see the perfect play from the announcers booth. Allen is a ROOKIE, Steve, and he's learning on the fly behind an abysmal Oline. Sheesh. 8 of 14 with no picks and 125ish yards is not as awful Steve B is calling it.
  8. Props to Josh Allen for his composure and his potential. Props to Croom and Zay Jones for doing their jobs and catching what was thrown to them. Props to Edmunds for being the lone bright spot in a bad defense. Anyone else?
  9. If not, then who is the backup? And please don't say Peterman.
  10. Really wanna see Allen warming up on the sidelines about now.
  11. Ok, first game jitters time is over. Peterman needs to relax and show something the next series or his season should not go past halftime.
  12. Just riffing here based of off watching as many snaps as possible on Youtube. Pros: Quick release. Nice touch. Good ball placement. Decisive. Quick in and out of the huddle. Cons: Arm could be better. Those out patterns. Looks like a different player when under pressure. Makes panic/ill advised throws where he should maybe take the sack. Not a threat to run. Looks awkward when taking a hit. I am concerned about injury. Peterman CAN succeed in the NFL, but will need a game plan that works to his strengths and hides his flaws. He is a "system" QB, and does well when he sticks with the plan but flounders when things break down. Sincerely hoping the Oline can get its "stuff" together. My prediction: It will be injury, not incompetence, that will bring about a change in QB. I believe in Daboll as an OC and he will get production out of Peterman. Thoughts?
  13. Year Team REC YDS AVG LNG TD 2017 Bills 27 430 15.9 46 Thompson in 11 games. Made big plays and showed the ability to get open deep. Worked to get open. Knew where the 1st down markers were. Not a #1 or #2 WR, but consistently productive when he took the field. Someone will sign him over the weekend. Hope it's us.
  14. Expecting some moves over the weekend as teams sift through the cuts. I'd like to see: Deonte Thompson, WR, Matt Tobin, Tackle. Whatcha' got?
  15. https://www.washingtonpost.com/news/checkpoint/wp/2017/09/28/standing-for-the-national-anthem-does-not-make-you-a-patriot-heres-what-does/?noredirect=on&utm_term=.c18267261faa
  16. Bold Prediction: McCarron will start and be surprisingly effective in an offense that focuses on short and intermediate throws, making it very hard for Allen to crack the starting lineup.
  17. Heard we signed this guy? Any truth to it?
  18. With so many QBs expected to go in the first, at least one of them is bound to bust. Who and why? For the record, I say Josh Rosen. He has the footballs skills, but I question his attitude, coachability and commitment to football long term. Discuss.
  19. Living where I live, I have watched more Bears games than most. Cutler is NOT a franchise QB or even a viable starter. It's not just the number of INTs that he throws, it is WHEN he throws them. Simply put, Cutler is the opposite of "Clutch". For lack of a better term, he is "Choke" Throws some beautiful passes and then poops the bed when the game is on the line. Do not want.
  20. Like everyone, I am hoping that Shady will be ready to play next week. Realistically though, we need a backup plan as our current stable of RBs after McCoy is: Tolbert: Big but slow. Murphy: Former 7th rounder with decent speed but lacking the size/durability to be an every down back. So who is out there? Ryan Mathews. Cut by the Eagles after recovering from an injury. Decent runner, not a big receiving threat. Not a locker room guy, but probably the best guy out there right now. Fred Jackson. Old. Hasn't played since 2016, but was productive in spot duty for the Seahawks. Does Fred still have any magic left? I would love to see him play in a Bills uni again, but just don't know. Joe Banyard. Looked good in preseason and spent time on and off our roster this year. If he is in shape, he could contribute. Anyone else? Looking for practice squad heroes or McDonald's fry cooks waiting for another shot. Discuss.
