  1. So it looks like the Bills ended up with who the Cards wanted at #44, they didn't get Henry, and are stuck with a $3m per year lineman nobody wants including them. Yeah, I guess I'd be whining to the media too.
  2. Wow. Great find. Perhaps Arizona was holding out hope the Bills were going to cave last minute and agree to the Shelton for Henry deal. Also would make sense as to why they are running to the media and crying about the Bills holding out for too much.
  3. Unless Henry changes his tune and does what any guy under contract is supposed to do, he will not be playing for anyone this year. Donahoe has got to be furious over all the flak he is taking because Henry is a dumb-ass baby. If Henry had an ounce of sense, he would have realized Donahoe is not trading him for a 4th rounder or some disposable OL nobody wants. He should have shut his mouth because teams now think Donahoe will release him anyway and will not offer much for him. Do you really think Donahoe is going to give in to Travis now after all the crap he has taken? Why are Arizona and other talking heads so upset because the Bills didn't trade Travis? Why do they care so much? Teams interested in Henry thought Donahoe would have to basically give him away because Travis is a whiny cry-baby. Donahoe essentially gave all those teams (including Travis) the finger and now they are pissed. Kurt Warner and JJ Arrington in Arizona is hardly anything to write home about. Ryan Moats over Travis Henry??? Seems like a story is being planted to tools like Clayton, Mueller, and Florio to cover up other teams inability to land Travis.
  4. Easterbrook Wow, a writer that is finally questioning Philly taking Ryan Moats instead of Travis Henry. (Scroll down to Philly)
  5. So some guy at Yahoo sports knows better than our GM what the team needs are? Stick to analysis on who the draft picks were and how they project (even that is somewhat silly before these guys have even stepped into an NFL football game much less practice field). If we re-sign Clements or even plan to franchise him, I like the looks of our draft selection this year.
  6. I think you'd be happier as a fan of the Redskins if you are looking for an organization that gives in to the demands of its whiny players.
  7. You'd cave in to this idiot for a 4th round pick? Unless we get something worthwhile, Travis either plays or doesn't get paid and effectively ends his career. Who's going to give him a decent contract after he sits out his year?
  8. I can't wait to see Parrish on the field. With his speed and change of direction ability, you know Mularkey's going to find a way to get him 5-7 touches a game. I also think the Bills's roster is going to be incredible this year. We are deep everywhere and the only real question marks are one of the LT's stepping up and the DT Anderson stepping up his role. I fully expect JP to be an improvement over Bledsoe.
  9. For all the writers calling Donahoe greedy, I have yet to read what exactly he turned down for Henry other than Shelton, who the Bills didn't really want and who carries a salary of $3m per year, and nothing higher than a 4th round pick. Even if you don't particularly care for Henry's game, giving him up for either of those scenarios seems like you are rewarding him for his antics. Also throw in the fact that the Bills are one of the top teams if not the top at uncovering undrafted gems, I would much rather see the Bills put their foot down and tell travis you are either playing or not getting paid this year, instead of getting a 4th round pick for the guy.
  10. Good points. It also makes you wonder if the Bills would have traded up to get Matt Jones if he was around longer.
  11. And if Donahoe gave Travis up for a 4th round pick, Clayton and all the eggheads would be writing that the Bills caved in to a disgruntled player. The Eagles can have fun with Ryan Moats and Westbrook in their backfield (I do like Westbrook but he is not an every down back). If Moats ever runs for 1300 yards in back-to-back seasons, call me. At this point, keep Henry and if he holds out, he holds out. It sends a message to shut your mouth and be a team player if you are under contract. That is more important than a 4th round pick. Why is no one ripping apart the Eagles for drafting Ryam Moats in the 3rd round when they could have had Henry?
  12. Agreed. There's simply too many people they have to cut to. I liked it better when it was just Berman, Mortensen, Kiper. Cutting over to Suzy Kolber, Andrea Kramer, Golic, Hoge, Wingo, Jaworski, and the other meathead players is ridiculous waste of time. It was so much better when they actually talked about each team when they were on the clock.
  13. I think you can pencil Teague in as the starter at LT and Tucker at Center with Preston backing him up and maybe even starting if he progresses ahead of schedule.
  14. How are defenses going to account for Moulds, Evans, McGahee, Parrish, and the mobility of Losman? Throw in a TE like Everett and that is a lot of explosiveness and versatility on the field.
  15. Pencil Parrish in as our primary punt returner from day one. I actually don't think this pick spells doom for Reed. I think Reed gets another year to prove himself. Parrish will probably be the 4th receiver this year and is the type of player Mularkey loves to run trick plays with. I could even see him in the backfield on 3rd downs. He definitely is a guy you have to account for at all times when he is on the field. He probably would have been a 1st round pick if Berlin wasn't so up-and-down, putting it nicley.
  16. I saw the Green interview last night as well. It was very humorous because you could tell that he still wants Travis but TD is frustrating the hell out him. My prediction is Henry doesn't go to the Cards, and we pick up Shelton in June after he is cut to compete with Khalif Barnes or Jamaal Brown, who we will trade up to get with our 2 2nd round picks. Henry to Philly.
  17. Washington cannot take on another headcase like Woodson. And there is no way they are keeping both 1st rounders as they would have made the trade with Denver on draft day. I have to imagine the 'Skins made the Denver trade with another deal agreed upon with someone else. And maybe they are just waiting for the Niners to not select Edwards and then the deal will be announced with Miami. Or the Niners are trying to shake down the 'Skins and threaten to take Edwards unless the Skins sweeten the pot. But if the trade with Denver was made in order to move up for Edwards, the Skins will end up getting taken to the cleaners because they made the deal with Denver too soon and showed their cards.
  18. Is a DT selected at #55 going to be any better than Anderson or Edwards? I think TD takes a defensive tackle but not before the 4th round. I'm looking for a CB and OL on the 1st day.
  19. Maybe, but that is what makes the draft so much fun. Not to mention the Clements to Washington trade makes some sense, enough so that it keeps popping up in media sources.
  20. What are the chances Nate is a Bill after this year? I would love to keep him too but I wouldn't bet on him being here after this year. We can't keep letting guys walk without getting something in return. If you can get a 1st rounder for him in a year we don't have a 1st rounder, you gotta take it given that you don't think you can re-sign him.
  21. Why would Washington have made the trade in order to move up in the draft? You would think everyone in front of them would much rather have what they gave Denver than the #25 this year. Who would rather have the #25 this year than Washington's 1st rounder next year? Maybe someone that doesn't have a 1st rounder this year.
  22. Add to that TD and Modrak have mentioned that they wouldn't even want a top 10 pick this year and that Washington has been mentioned with Clements and that Tampa has entered the travis sweepstakes in a player for player trade and that Barber has been mentioned as a player Tampa is looking to deal.
  23. If true about wanting Campbell, it is absolutely ridiculous they made the trade now and told everyone interested in Campbell get to #24 and you got him. Watch Cleveland, Miami, or Arizona trade ahead of Washington to get Campbell.
  24. Washington has to be trading one of those 1st rounders for a player. Why on earth would you make this trade before draft day otherwise? What if there is a run on the position you want? They basically have no draft picks to trade to move up if there is a run unless teams will accept draft picks from the 2007 draft.
  25. Who is running the asylum over in Washington? They essentailly gave up as much as we did for Losman when they don't even know who will be available at #25 in a draft that is considered short on upper tier talent. Another deal has to be in the works for this to make any sense.
