  1. No, we need to focus on what's in front of us, today. Looking too far into the future would have us not recognizing the extreme rhetoric and calls for violence by agitators on the left. Kavanaugh should not be 'forced to answer' for anything beyond what he states in his opinions. Though, personally, I'd think he's probably pretty ******* jaded after that democrat party en masse attempted to destroy him with unproven, unprovable very specious claims about his character. Maybe he was on the fence, remembered what they did, and thought "Ah..f it.".
  2. Ah, you're advocating for subverting an election. I should have picked up on that. What do you do if Trump wins popular and electoral vote? I tried, but I can't follow you here. What's "the playbook"? As for Biden "not firing anyone for all the wrong reasons", what's that all about?
  3. You're suggesting there is a question that the Dems would stand aside if they won the election? Why would you think they would do that?
  4. Every party is the party of alternative facts, regardless of who(m) the masseuse is. And d@mn you for exposing my inability to spell masseuse without spell check, Frank.
  5. Maybe it's being paid for on a layaway plan, B. Did you ever think about that. A layaway plan?
  6. Glad to see she's pushing back against authoritarianism by trashing our system of justice and demanding they comply with her worldview.
  7. The long and winding road of American democracy often takes turns that are at odds with your personal preferences. The answer is not to imagine yourself King, it's to work through our differences and come out stronger on the other side.
  8. You need to get outside and take a walk. You're literally 15 minutes from anything you would ever possibly need, assuming there is a Chick-fil-A in your fully autonomous chop zone. They will tell you what you all you need to hear, so rest easy. FYI the rocky mountain oysters on the seafood line at the buffet aren't really oysters.
  9. Well, we can rest assured that whatever the leadership of the Democrat party feeds you at the Presidential Buffet, you'll eat early and often. It seems logical, but then again you may be moderately inclined in an increasingly politicized world.
  10. All that would represent, Roundy, is the continued evolution of the process they are already running.
  11. Here's the problem Roundy--you and other people with extreme points of view already support that. It's already happening.
  12. Romney ultimately is a weak leader politically (though hugely successful in the business world) and allowed himself to be neutered on an international scale. Liberals and Dems supported that, and here’s the thing: it worked spectacularly well. Consider W Bush—accused of fabricating intelligence and sending you American soldiers to fight and die in a desert on the other side of the world—not to mention hundreds of thousands of people who lived there. Meanwhile, post election, he, Laura, Barrack and Michelle are fast friends. The Obama kids call him Gampy. It always amazes me when people are surprised that “shameful” behavior that works so well is modeled and in some cases, super-sized.
  13. Yes, I understand that perspective. The modern liberal voter feigns outrage at claims of stolen elections while supporting claims of illegitimate elections. I was more speaking about Trumps penchant for making frequent changes in his admin, and the inevitable backlash from people who were dismissed, followed by media spin about it. My reality is simply that I’m not a chaos guy.
  14. “Everyone”? No, I didn’t think the typical member of the Bidensta convergence wanted Trump, they fear the end of the world as we know it. I definitely think the typical R voter wants Biden to continue, it reflects a display of unity and the first step to healing old wounds.
  15. I’m not really all that concerned about the figureheads, though I early on I was hoping Trump wouldn’t run. I like substantially more of his messaging than I do that of the democrat party, and recall the pre-COVID days when Trump appeared a shoo-in for re-election. Still, I don’t like chaos, and Trump’s style coupled with media manipulation that is more clear, more obvious, and more ignored by dem voters everyday, and my thought was he would be effective from the sidelines. Then…the liberal team turned hard into the authoritarian regime they were supposedly against, classified material was suddenly judged on a sliding scale, and novel cases were all the rage. That’s today’s modern democrat party. Maybe a replacement with a moderate democrat would change that, but I don’t think so. We’ll see I guess. Just remember the wisdom your old pal Leh-n shared—these guys will come and go just like Reagan, Clinton, Carter, Bush, LBJ and all the way back to Geo W. The behavior of the corporate press doesn’t change unless it’s rejected and citizens demand more. Oh geez, now cult like behavior involves partnering with 85 million democrats.
  16. Suddenly, after 5 years of Biden slipping into the abyss and believing whatever he was spoonfed by DNC/major media, 4th is outraged! We lose when the providers of information provide inaccurate, manipulative information even when it aligns with one’s values.
  17. This one has always been a hot button issue for me. Each time I think I’m being too hard on this issue because of his personal loss, something like this happens. @The Frankish Reich suggested at one time that the loss of his son broke him—and I certainly can see that happening. I’m sure he’s never far from his thoughts, but I feel that on some level, his son would be mortified at how his father trots out his name and the comparisons he makes.
  18. One of the most disgraceful parts of his performance was lying about the death of troops on his watch, then leveraging his son’s death yet again. Not 4 weeks ago, he was honoring troops lost at Normandy—those who died young in the most horrific ways possible. We’ve lost troops in battle since, and the countless injured catastrophically since. I can understand a politician using a quote from a book that riles up their base, that’s business as usual though as my friend @muppy might say, it’s dirty. That he immediately went to his son, who lived a good life, died tragically as a result of a medical condition under hospice care as a middle aged man, is classic Biden. He could have talked about the soldiers who died in Afghanistan (but of course, that’s politically dangerous) on his watch, or virtually any other soldier lost/injured in combat over the last 100 years.
  19. I think you're looking at the old menu. Is there a piece of dried egg in the lower right corner, and a picture of a waitress in tube top on roller skates in the upper right? Old menu. Her name was Cinamon. Nice lady, has sciatica and three grandkids now. Anyway--I'm with you--I'm not differentiating between über rich libs or conservatives, juts pointing out that those who preach it typically don't follow it, and that's likely to continue in the future regardless of what the rules say. That brings me full circle--Biden cannot be trusted anymore than Trump...if trust is the end game. On the 'poor billionaire', cool. That's your lane, of course, and I'm over here in mine with my blinker on for a mile and a half.
  20. You're not advocating for 'fairness', though. You're advocating for seizing assets. And, even if I agreed with you, see Feinstein, Diane, and how she felt about fairness.
  21. I'm not revisiting this thread because the Supreme freaking Court ultimately decided certain protestors on 1/6 were overcharged (charged incorrectly, overzealous prosecution or whatever you prefer to call it) in the Fischer case, or to point out how my rational and reasoned perspective looks pretty solid when all the dust settled, or because your perspective (and that of others here) seems to suggest you're a bit extreme.... Oh wait, that's exactly whey I revisited this thread. My humble suggestion--step back, look at what you posted, take a deep breath and move back to the center a bit on these issues. Prayers up.
  22. This shows no one is above the law, except of course those who do not have to follow it depending on who is running the DOJ.
  23. Yes! Now you know how Trump, the moderators and the rest of the world with television felt like watching Biden last night! You're welcome, and lay off the sauce--you're cranky today!
