  1. I like the play calling (3) so far.
  2. No. He's hurt. Almost anyone would have been hurt on that play.
  3. Give it up. You're flat out wrong.
  4. Not that I don't mind spending $50 while standing in a bar for three hours.
  5. I wouldn't. Cadillac is a beast, but a rookie. He's got the talent to sustain his start but it's unlikely, esp. not enough to exceed Palmer and Jones over the long run. I really like Palmer, I think he's got potential to be a top QB this year while Jones is a solid, if unspectacular back. Unless Tampa can play from ahead most of the time his carries will certainly drop off; and most rookies tend to wear down during the year and production becomes much more unpredictable.
  6. "Facts" after two whole games? One of which was a win? How soon people nervously smash the panic button.
  7. We need a few dozen more "talentless hacks" to get our kids interested in science. Nye is an assest, there's no reason to bash him.
  8. Yes. Thanks. I didn't think I discovered a new theorem or something complicated.
  9. I'll take a "hammied" Vick over Schaub. Dunn has played well with 171 yards on 37 carries (4.6) but Vick is close behind with 111 on 19 carries (5.8). Given Vick's injury history, I hope he's a much slower healer than Fletcher. But heals enough to play.
  10. I signed. Good job.
  11. I'll take the win no matter what. The media and other fans opinion has no impact on Bills ability to win or lose the next game. The only matters is the win or the loss. Not sure why fans get so bent out of shape about "respect" for the Bills. It has no impact except to motivate the Bills players. God knows there are plenty of fans eating crow this week after going apolpletic when experts predicted a Tampa win. Of course, the other scenario is losing to a Vick-less Falcons, which we won't speak of.
  12. I watch the game in a bar but I often thought: "where is Shelton?" I simply didn't see him in the game very much. Please tell me if I'm wrong but I thought the problem was Shelton WASN'T in the game enough.
  13. Synder. He's driven that franchise into the ground, not that I mind. But the guy is insufferable even though the team has stunk up the league since his takeover. Win something first, Dan, then you can be a complete dick. On the other hand, that's not to say I like Jones, but I respect him. For all our distaste for the guy he IS a winner. Not that I don't enjoy his obvious pain when Dallas loses. BTW, he IS very funny in that new cell phone commercial. You gotta like that.
  14. How do you know JP will get hurt week 4? Guess JP won't make the Pro-Bowl with lost games.
  15. If posts make you smarter, then what happened to you?
  16. If they do, I'm turning it off and going to bed.
  17. Can't judge a player after 70 passing attempts and one NFL start.
  18. I'd rather have an 85% Vick than a 100% Schaub. Schaub is pretty good and may be a better QB than Vick. Also, you know what you get with Vick while Schaub is a big question mark.
  19. There is "intelligent conversationists" who bring thoughtful insight to their concerns and then there are "one note wonders" who sound like a psychotically-miserable eyeore.
  20. Why do you even come here?
  21. We'll see. I'm not a knee-jerk Fish basher, I did see the game and while they did not play disasterously that was kind of the point. Better than last year, but I've yet to see how they are good enough to win many games. Though I won't be surprise if Miami's first game occupies 55 minutes of a 60 minute 2005-2006 Dolphin highlight reel. I will agree you can add Baltimore and Houston (though PGH is awfully good).
  22. Not discouraging in the least. Bad teams turnover the ball and have penalty problems. Those things are talent indicators (see Pats). I just think the Bills had the wrong gameplan and attitude -- the play not to lose strategy caught up to them mid-3Q. After the Bills got their first possessionl in the 3rd at mid-field they should have opened it up but they played like they were ahead by two TDs. To me, that was the turning point of the game (especially after Moorman booted the ball into the EZ ) 80-yard drive ensues . . . Plus, we should also credit TB for playing a GREAT game. You can change game plans but that doesn't do a whole lot to eliminate turnovers and penalties.
  23. I think there's an important difference between a bad game and a bad team. I thought the Bills played very poorly (see Indy, Jax, & Pats) but they're not a poor team (see MN, SF, Miami). Yesterday, the talent is there but gameplan and execution were not. Even then, the Bills were in this game until the beginning of the 4th quarter. 1. Bills had ZERO turnovers. 2. Oly 3 (3!) penalties. 3. Subpar game from their punter. 4. A great Defense that did not stop the run when the stadium knew they'd run. AND the D gave up the back-breaking 80-yard drive in the 3rd including Griese's 3-and-5 conversion when Spikes left his man who was WIDE open at the 5. (Takeo - Griese is not a threat to run for the 1st). 5. Very, very conservative "play-not-to-lose offensive" game plan 6. Where the hell was Damion Shelton???? . . . and STILL in the game ON THE ROAD through the 3rd Quarter. Fact is, TB had the superior game yesterday at home, they did everything right (despite the penalties), a good gameplan on D, well executed run game and no big mistakes. (Williams is a beast). Note about JP: He had an bad game but not a terrible game, they weren't winning because of JP, not losing b/c of him, either. Bills had NO running game (not his fault), JP rarely had a receiver open and usually was under pressure. I'd even argue he was one step away from escaping the safety. I don't think it's simply coaching hyperbole to think Mularkey was right when he said "this is a learning experience." It was a wake-up call to the whole team from Head Coach to waterboy. If they "play to win" - i.e. play agreesively next week I think they'll stomp the Falcons.
  24. Not sure why so many people get upset and downright indignent about game predictions by the media et al. How can someone be an "idiot" for predicting the Bucs will beat up on the Bills BEFORE the game is played. Now, I can understand playing 20/20 critic and going back and saying "I told you so," but what if (and I know this sounds crazy), what if they're prediction is right? Does that make YOU the fool? I know it's a fans perogative, but I like being a Bills fan because I often think we are much more knowledgable about the game. But that kind of pre-game prediction bashing is very 3rd grade.
  25. To me, Willis never seems to move very fast, it's like he glides or skates. His running style makes him look slow, like he's not really using all his effort - but you know he's moving fast by how the Defense moves. Even more amazing when you see him effortlessly side step a defender in the open field. Doesn't look like he's even trying.
