  1. Other events contributed to that loss, too.
  2. To avoid a war. Don’t forget that part. He phoned to make sure that the uncertainty here didn’t mature into a shooting war.
  3. There is a roster management component to this discussion. If we pay AJE, then can we keep Rousseau? Is it worth paying AJE if the Bills feel that Jonathan can assume what would be his role next year? Do we want another run at it with Floyd on a shorter deal before Rousseau gets paid? And, if we aren’t going to pay AJE, are we better off trying to move him now, getting an advance on the 2024 comp pick, and applying that capital to this year’s roster? Maybe so, depending on the health of Rousseau/Miller/Floyd/Lawson, the potential return, and the ability to convert that capital to address a position of need. It’s something that the Bills would be negligent not to explore.
  4. That's the rub, isn't it? I completely agree with the thought to explore the idea. If someone wants to give us, say, a second round pick that we immediately flip for someone to assist in a new position of need, then I'm for it. The reality is that AJE likely is gone after this year, and we're looking at a 2024 third or fourth to replace him. So if we can cover that asset into something that will help us now, great. If not, then play it out, get our last 15-ish games out of him, enjoy the comp pick, and move on.
  5. Me too. Whom do you have in mind?
  6. And if it’s for a different purpose, which I doubt but can’t rule out after the Micah Hyde/Calvin Ridley/cover zero approach … bad news for/about Elam.
  7. Vet in the room, I hope.
  8. Honestly I just had the same thought. Depends on the return and the purpose. If it’s to accumulate meaningful draft capital to buy a corner or a WR, and if Floyd, Miller, Rousseau, and Jonathan are all healthy … count me in. Sell a strength to address what could be a significant weakness. Because it’s smart. Do they have the money for him next year? Or is that Rosseau bucks? If it’s going to Groot, trying to flip him for CB/WR/stud off ball LB is not a crazy idea.
  9. Call the Bills about the handicap parking. This will require some foresight and planning.
  10. Yes. Up to 150m is paid back from premium seating revenues. So, yes, the Bills received league monies.
  11. He’s probably gone. But we’re still elite.
  12. I think he was tired. Think Miami on the road last year and skipping the sure TD pass.
  13. When you get a couple hundred million to build a stadium you become the guinea pig the next time one is needed.
  14. I'm not entirely sure of that. We saw quite a bit of Dodson today. Not sure why. With 17 14 and a solid o-line we are always in the hunt. The Jones injury hurts a lot. He has been fantastic next to Oliver. Time to overcome and give a little more than we get the rest of the way.
  15. They flew overnight on Thursday. Fine if you're a lawyer, banker, whatever there to conduct business for a couple of days. Not good for anyone else.
  16. Saddle up and move on. The pass rush is elite when 50 56 40 57 and 91 are available. O line is solid. 17 and 14 are healthy. Keep on grinding and we will be good.
  17. Bingo. Changed the whole game. One of these games were just going to have to rely on a battering ram (Harris/Murray) when we have to hold the ball, plug away, and set up play action. Given the injures and the fatigue, today might have been the day.
  18. It was a fine schedule if one was there for leisure or to conduct p, say, financial business. Not smart for a football team. They looked like zombies.
  19. That was a reflection of the DL injuries. McD had to dial it up because Kendall Vickers wasn’t getting home there. Get home, burn the film, get some sleep, and on to the Giants. F London that turf travel injuries and move on.
  20. I thought exactly the same thing yesterday watching it live. The little things often have big impact. That was not a play that I’d feel comfortable with McKenzie having to make.
  21. I’m going with the Bass FG at the end of the first half. Huge.
  22. Best game I’ve seen a QB play in person in that stadium. And I’ve been to over 200 games. It was a masterpiece.
  23. There’s a difference between “can” and “is” with respect to that figure of speech. You’ll have your answer if (when) such charges are not dismissed based on legal sufficiency grounds. And, if sufficiency motions aren’t made, you’ll have your answer as to what Trump’s attorneys think of the quality of the evidence.
  24. Sure. But that doesn’t mean the banks are charged with rooting out fraud. What you’re suggesting — that Trump face no liability because someone else didn’t timely discover his fraud — actually ENCOURAGES the practice. A stupid idea if ever there was one.
  25. Hoax. "The banks" aren't responsible for discovering someone's fraud. The "someone" (in this case, Trump) is responsible for not committing fraud.
