Hoax. I’ve never said anything of the sort. You’re the only one who has mentioned Antifa. Too much time watching Fox News and OAN for your, sir. -
Yup. And this idea that business owners and those who have been damaged as a result of the violence shouldn’t get what they paid for is just one more nutty thing in a nutty time. I’ve been out of the coverage game for awhile, but I suspect that social unrest is an issue with respect to business interruption policies only insofar as unrest that shutters a business won’t trigger coverage (or will trigger an exception), whereas interruption occasioned by physical damage would be covered.

Fake news. Nobody said anything about heavy-handed. A person can lead without being heavy-handed. Unfortunately the current occupant of the White House can’t do so. Sadly, you continue to support that person. I, on the other hand, demand better. I’m sorry that your standards are so low. -

Hoax. My dream president is one who, as of 9:37 eastern time this morning, hadn’t used his five tweets to communicate solely with respect to his re-election prospects and to explore political grudges. The next time he shows that he cares more about this country than himself will be the first. Enjoy your loser leader, sir. I demand better. -
Hoax. That was a legal discussion. This is a political and social discussion. Also, you should keep an eye on the name-calling, sir. It’s unbecoming. Be better!

I live in the real world in which curfews are an imperfect but suitable solution that allows the disaffected to be heard and reduces the ability of instigators to blend in with protestors under the cover of dark.

Daily and relentless accessibility? For awhile, yes. But then he stopped the pressers because he’s a bozo and kept putting his foot in his mouth. And lest we forget, he diddled around on the pandemic in January, and in February, and was trying to wish it away in March. If that’s good enough for you, that’s on you. I demand better leadership, be it Republican or Democrat . This loser is not up to the job. You’ve comingled the “toughness” point with the “job performance” point. You’ve called Donald Trump the toughest president in United States history. Even you have to know how laughable that is. Despite being the “healthiest president ever” or whatever lie it is he told in that regard, he wasn’t healthy enough to join his fellow patriots and serve in VietNam. Putting that aside, maybe he could get away from the fridge in the White House and, you know, go to Minneapolis and meet with black ministers. Act like he feels some pain. Or maybe just be tough enough to not to respond on Twitter to whatever mild insult he might face today. Whatever the tough guy chooses is fine with me. -

All of the nonsense happens at night. Day protests are fine. I agree with you that eliminating night protests (that’s what curfews are for) has become a good idea.

No physical sign of asphyxiation. Doesn’t mean that asphyxiation wasn’t a contributing factor to his death. But you’re right to note the oddity in the report. He’s got a real problem on manslaughter. Depraved indifference murder could be a trickier deal. Assuming nothing weird happens on causation (like a toxicology report indicating the Floyd ODed), depraved indifference might not be a slam dunk. It’s a hard crime to prove in NYS. that said, I would have charged him with deprived indifference murder here too. This is the type of incident to which that law should apply. -

Please. Commandant Bone Spurs has the thinnest skin of any president in modern history. You’re right that’s he’s presided over three historic messes. His response to at least one of them (the pandemic) was late and largely ineffective. His response to another (the riots) has been basically non-existent. It’s one thing to “preside.” It’s another to “address” or to effectively “respond.” He has failed in the latter regard. I’m looking for another Monday of the big tough guy assailing people on twitter and not visiting any riot-affected area. -

Trump’s reportedly in a bunker tonight, FYI. Big tough guy president sitting there surrounded by vicious dogs. All of those snowflakes in lafayette park must be really scary. -

Together with yohimbe, L-arginine, horny goat weed, ginseng, pregnenolone, and dehydroepiandrosterone, I would imagine. -
This awful. Just awful.

Big tough guy president gets spoken to the wrong way and hides in the White House doing nothing. Pathetic. You’re right; the rioters might not care. But the protestors might. They should be acknowledged. And if they are assuaged, guess what? Fewer protests and fewer opportunities to pervert the protests for the purpose of rioting and looting. We are better than all of this.
-
I expect everyone to follow the law and do their job. Including our loser president. I’m with you. I support the protests. I detest the antagonists and the looters. I hope you are well when you awake tomorrow.
